Any rumor when 2014 dates come out?

So I'm not the only one who has been checking repeatedly throughout the week? I thought it was just me. We are getting ready to book our first cruise as soon as the 2014 dates are posted. WAAAAAYYYYY too excited!:yay:

DS11 and DW want a xmas 2014 - I've been trying to push them towards an August or even an early November (ie NJ week).

But after what we've been thru with Sandy, no way in hell they'll let me change that. So I have to bite the bullet and spend the extra dough.

But of course, waiting is the worse part...

I'd take August... but DH, DD 12 and I are a bit used to the weather... :scared1::woohoo::scared1:

When Hurricane Francis went over in 2004, DD was 3 and we were at WDW Disney All-Star Movie "hunkered down" waiting for a 7-Day Eastern Magic to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. We ended up with a 4-day Cozumel only, 50% refund and 25% off rebooking. So we did it again the next year. September 2005, we were back aboard the Magic for an Eastern and DD's 5th bday. :cake: Shortly after embarking they announced a course change to a Western due to Hurricane Rita. We finally got our Eastern Halloween 2006 :-)

Gotta love going in the heat of Hurricane season... but our anniversary and DD's Bday are both in September. Plus it’s a great deal and a little exciting! I watch the Tropical Updated on the Weather Channel like a crazy person the couple weeks before we go. :beach:

Can't wait for 2014... I need a nice September cruise for our 20th Anniversary. pirate::bride:

I asked a few CMs while onboard the 10/20 Fantasy and all embarrassingly said the 2014 dates probably won't be released till 2013. One suggested we might be pleased with an itinerary change.:confused3

Take it for what it is. More noise, maybe. Good luck to you all.

That won't help much with sales and those who need to move currently booked dates.

If that is true you could end up stuck with a dummy cruise because final due date is 3 months before the cruise so if you have a december 2013 dummy cruise you would have final payment by october 2013.

What is the advantage of a dummy cruise. I have a November 2013 cruise booked for 3 days to the Bahamas which I plan to take but how could this cruise give me an advantage for a 2014 cruise?

OH, DUH. :rotfl2: The 2014 dates will be released in 2013, is what I heard. My brain is still bouncing around from the 10/20 Fantasy.
Sorry folks, didn't mean to scare you. I fixed my post. Thanks for the heads up. I never was good with dates and times.

You book a dummy cruise on board when you know you want to cruise Disney again, but don’t know when or want to cruise sometime when reservations are not yet open. You then move the date when you figure out when you want to cruise or Disney opens that date up. The advantage is you still get the reduced deposit, on board booking discount, and the on board credit for a future cruise. You can do this without any penalty as long as you move the cruise before final payment is due.

Yes and we have a dummy December 2013 cruise..... don't want that one...

Well as I mentioned earlier, even if Disney was going to release this week - the hurricane may have delayed it. It is delaying everything, including campaign events and even Halloween for most of us in the Northeast. Even the Today show cancelled their annual Halloween costume reveal. Maybe Disney felt it would be bad timing :confused3

....Or the massive reports and videos online about the sailings last week may have made them decide to wait for feelings and fears to die down.

Who knows why they didn't release this month like so many were told from CMs previously. But if it is true that they now have decided to wait until January, I sure as heck hope the itineraries make it worth it! Our final payment for our dummy cruise is due in March. So here's hoping they release them before then :surfweb:

I'll keep saying it...Japan/China! South America!! We don't need more of the same old same old!

Given that Disney has such a hard time selling the med cruise I doubt they will do cruise in Japan or China. Also you may want to check what airfare from a major US city to there is too.

South America may be doable if the do a 10 day itinerary.

One of the 12 day Meds look to be close to selling out.... According to cruisefish, if I'm reading it right.
