Any rumor when 2014 dates come out?

So if the schedule was to be released mon or tue of next week? Would gold or plat members be finding out today? Or how far in advance do they get notified? So maybe we would get a warning they are comming soon?

Although they told me when I called to ask this question that gold/platinum members would be given a heads up about opening day in advance via email, I have NEVER received an email from them about opening day advance reservations since they started this program! Luckily my TA knows my status and has always gotten me in on early pricing.

The three September Canada cruises never increased in price - at least for the least expensive insides. Yes, the ship did finally fill after DCL offered great DVC rates again, as well as IGT/OGT/VGT fares.

Yeah, the last 3 canadians never went up in price for all categories.

Basically booking early matters most of prime time cruising (pres week, easter, summer, or Xmas week) or unique itineraries only (Hawaii, Panama Canal).

The rest of us can wait a day or two for things to settle down.

Only if there are new itineraries. Rumors say and I believe also based on previous years, that Dream/Fantasy would be released first, and then later, the other itineraries.

But who knows...

So judging by the last 2 years, will there be any advance notice of opening day booking or should I start getting up at the crack of dawn now to check if booking is available? I'm trying to book the Easter break 2014 Fantasy cruise so I know the prices could jump by the hour.

Bookings won't start before 8:00 a.m. eastern.

You'll probably find out here on the DIS before bookings become available on the DCL web site.

Thanks! Guess ours would go up another 1000 again OUCH..Hopefully our business stuff will pan out so I won't have to wait or prices won't jump for awhile. I'm now hoping dcl dithers around a bit longer which would drive everyone here nuts.

Baltimore would be great for us. Does anyone know about parking there? It gets really roungh the closer to johns hopkins you get which is not too far from port. We stayed with a friend who was the pastor of a church halfway between the hospital/port and we could watch drug deals go down from the apartment window just above the church! If in NYC we would rent car from home as a precaution think we might do that in baltimore too.

In 2011 there was one day notice before the Dream/Fantasy sailing info for 2013 was posted on the DIS and the bookings opened.

Last January or so the late 2013 dates for the Fantasy were not announced. People just started posting that they had been able to book them. DCL did not send any announcement to anyone at all. When questioned they said it was a "soft opening" because there weren't any new itineraries. There have been times when an announcement was made the morning the bookings opened up or an email was sent out that morning.

True. Some TAs only got warning morning of opening last October. But when they announced home ports in NY, TX and Miami, the announcement was followed by several day lag before rolled out openings.
I think they ought to release any Galveston sailings soon as they may get a bump off of current cruiser re-bookings (since they're sailing out of Texas right now) and the advertising they're currently doing in the local markets.

The classic ships 2013 schedules came out January 26, 2012...so less than a year for some of those.
Twiddling my thumbs. I'm hoping to wait patiently!

Just realized something. It's 79 days until New Year's Eve right now, or about 77 days for PIF for those sailing those year.

Maby waiting till that passes by? Lots of calls going on for those cruises.

Yes, but they made the announcement and opened bookings a bit later in the month than they'd originally planned due to the Costa Concordia tragedy.

At that time, DCL also retooled the Wonder's itinerary to send it back through the Panama Canal for December 2012 and I think they took a pricing hit on that itinerary by announcing it with less than a year's notice.

I currently have a Jan 2014 Panama cruise booked with Princess and wish DCL would roll out their schedule. I'm waiting to see if they do another May PC in 2014.

Tell me the rumors of DCL not being in Alaska 2014 aren't true:( We booked a dummy date onboard because we REALLY wanted Alaska! How do we know when the dates are released? Should we just check this thread everyday or go to the DCL website everyday? Thanks for any insight:)
