I've been counting calories and moving more. I've lost 18 pounds! Today I bought SMALLER JEANS! Smiling! And I had a coupon for 40% off! Smiling!

Two things. I got a text form DD who was at school and saw a hidden Mickey so she sent a picture of it saying she thought of me when she saw it.

Then I get a text from my DH joking about our game to night. Our football team is amazing and they have stomped every team that we have played this year. I mean they have won big! So his text said: We would like to welcome &$@!?" County to (our city). Your beat down will begin promptly at 7:00. Thank you and have a blessed day. It really made me laugh! Now I just hope we win again tonight!

Baby's Godfather and his girlfriend were here all day.....nice relaxing day. Food, wine and lots of family time.

It was a beautiful fall day ~ it was also our sweet DGD's 13th birthday . School was closed today, so we spent a fun day together ~ took her to lunch, then enjoyed a shopping trip. We surprised her w/a gold heart pendant necklace she seemed to love.

Talking to some friends at the football game tonight. I laughed so hard at one of them who got dressed to go to the gym in the dark so she wouldn't wake up her husband. She was working out hard on the treadmill thinking she was looking good. She noticed some people looking and smiling, and she is still thinking how nice everyone was. Then as she was walking away she noticed that her Nike shorts were on inside out. the built in panties on the outside and all. it still cracks me up!

Yesterday I smiled at how confident and in control my DD 18 is in her classroom. She just started teaching this year and is really doing good. My other DD and i stopped by on our way home from work to see if she needed a hand finishing up and to catch a ride home ; ).

DD18 is coming home from college today and asked me to bring her a sandwich when I pick her up. She's working and didn't get lunch. She calls me mama when she texts me & it just melts my heart.

Spent the day at DS's school and helped out with a pumpkin painting project, had a picnic lunch and dismissed early, it was a fun day. The weather was beautiful. Enjoy your kids while you can!

Unexpected gift from a friend and her family....

It’s been a beautiful picture perfect week-end in Md. and lots to smile about!

Friday we attended our DGS#2's aftn/evening Class of 2013 game and senior activities . Prior to his soccer game parents/grandparents were invited on field and presented flowers . They played their hearts out and won their game 2-0. Afterwards we made special memories at fun dinner outing. We're very blessed indeed, so proud of and love our boy!!

Yesterday aftn 20 of us attended a lovely party at "The Tea Room" for our DGD's 13th . Afterwards we surprised her GGMa (83yo) w/lots of tea party goodies, as she was not up too attending, she was thrilled . In pm fun continued as we all were invited to DGD's for pizza, cake, and movies.

While there, we also had opportunity to see DGS#3, his lovely date and friends, having their Homecoming photo opt . Very enjoyable week-end, definitely fun times to keep our spirits young at heart.

My son, who is a senior in high school, was walking up an outside walkway at church today with one of his best friends, also a senior, who he's known since before preschool. They were both wearing nice shirts/sweaters in shades of green. They looked amazingly grown up and handsome!

16 years of friendship for them -it definitely made me smile!

I'm still smiling from spending a couple hours with dgd last evening. She just turned 2 and that's such a cute age.

DS15 came home from Marching Band practice a wreck! Mad at the world! A nap and lunch and he's my sweet boy again!

DS17 cleaned up the dog poop in the backyard, without being asked, while I was napping!

DS12 went to a haunted house last night with his dad. He's talked about it all day! He loved it!
