What made me happy/ smile today thread

I found the cold medication (prescription) that almost makes my symptoms disappear! I'll be able to sleep tonight! :teeth: <me, smiling very big over that.

Playing Just Dance on the Xbox with my girls. Working up a sweat rocking out to some Katy Perry always makes my night.

More of a bitter sweet moment: Took 3 of our g-kids to the movies. Just listening to them talk to each other when our 7 yr old granddaughter says
"Do you know that no matter where we are Gabriel can see us and will be our guardian angel? He will there for us whenever we need him."
(Gabriel is our grandson who passed away a couple of minutes after he was born)
Sad that they would have to know this pain at a young age, but smiled because they feel comforted by having a guardian angel.

I had a great day! My DD did great in her tumbling class and tried something she has been afraid to try and did it perfect. Seeing her proud of herself made me smile. :goodvibes

The rest of the day was good too. Everyone pitched in and helped me clean the house because we have a group from the high school coming here to film in the morning. The biggest thing is my children helped each other and they have been so sweet to each other all weekend. I don't want it to end. :rotfl2:

My 16yr old son texting me ( yes me his mom! ) while walking to school ; )
My DD emptying the dishwasher when she woke up to go to work and me seeing it emptied when i got up an hour later. : ))))

Today was my second day in the gym. A friend and I almost laughed to we cried at ourselves trying to do a couple of those things. It was great though because we survived another day!!

After that I rushed home to pick up a few things before DD's media class came over to film again for a commercial that they are making. After I was all finished she sent a text that they are going to a different school to film there. I just looked around and smiled because since everything is already done for the day around here so I have the rest of the day off until school is out!:goodvibes

Got an email from DS's teacher asking me to be room mom for the year. Double duty room mom for the second year in a row! :cool1:

Watching the rain fall.

making cookies (3 kinds Lemonade, limeade and chocolate chip)

drinking a cup of tea with some cookies. ;)

Making Disney playlist CD's for my two sisters for our trip to WDW in October! I also ordered them Mickey bracelets, Minnie pins and Minnie coin purses.:)

knowing that there is a major possibility that I might go to WDW next year!

My fantasy team beat its opponent again.

The football team I root for is 2 - 0.

Fixed six software bugs at work today.

My new work schedule is working out well, so I get to leave at 3:45 instead of 4:30. :thumbsup2

Dinner was leftover homemade mac & cheese. Mmmmm. And butter pecan ice cream for dessert.

Spilled an entire glass of soda on my laptop yesterday, but it works.

I listed to a new episode of This Developer's Life yesterday (2.09 Drama), and I'm trying to be more positive because of it. :)

Every morning when I "release" our kitty from his room, he tears around the house like his tail is on fire. This morning, he made one circuit, then hopped up on my lap and purred himself back to sleep for another hour. He's six months old, and every bit still a kitty, so this was a first for him and me.

My Disney smile was generated by discussing costumes for DDs' jaunt to MNSSHP next month. DD#2 is going three times with different friends and DD#1, so she "needs" three different costumes! She's going as Hermione, Merida, and as one of the ghost dancers from the Haunted Mansion. DD#1 is going as Esmerelda. I'll post photos when they're ready.

DS17's ACT scores came in e-mail today. He had me open them and text him the results! He went up 2 points! We were both smiling! Have to remember that smile ... we just got into a major argument this evening!!! So I choose to smile about earlier today!

My sweet DH chauffeuring my dear Mom (along w/myself) to doctor appt. and testing all day. He's been a Godsend with my parents, always so patient, helping in any way he can, and never one complaint doing so in all these years. Love him so much, feeling very thankful and blessed.

I've been counting calories and moving more. I've lost 18 pounds! Today I bought SMALLER JEANS! Smiling! And I had a coupon for 40% off! Smiling!
