If the thread is looking a little swiss-cheesy this morning, it's because I just deleted 65 posts over the last 4 days that had nothing whatsoever to do with AKL or WDW. Over that same period there were just a few AKL related posts. Probably because anyone who came here looking for information on AKL couldn't find one mention of the resort in the last several pages of this thread.

Folks, the FAQs are intended as 'concentrated' information on a specific resort, to make it easier for trip planners to find info on their resort in one place.

They're not personal chat threads. That's what e-mail is for. Or PMs. If a group of you want to talk amongst yourselves, just address a PM or e-mail to multiple people.

Well, there's a long history here and these "lite" threads (this is #8) were on the Community Board at one time. My hope is that Kimmar will sponsor the "official" AKL/AKV FAQ on the Resorts board, and our "lite" chit-chat on another thread on the Community board.

No sure if this is the right place to ask this. But on past trips we have shipped souvenirs and such home via UPS. We've done it from BWI and the Dolphin. Both have shipping counters in the conference centers where you can buy boxes and packing supplies and ship via various carriers.

Does AKL (Jambo or Kidani) have anything like this? Will I be able to ship something home or should I do it before we move from BWV? Thanks.

The thread has gone back and forth and back and forth and back and forth...it's been moved by mods between both the Community board and the resort board since it's inception, years ago.

Which is all fine and dandy..but there needs to be some sort of consensus.

This was never meant to be the "official/unofficial" FAQ thread for AKL/AKV. That thread was/is buried somewhere else on the resort boards.

But THIS thread gets so much activity (whether it lives on the community board or here in resorts) that it did become the defacto place for AKL information.

We'd all be happy to go over to the community board and have the thread, there...if the mods want to move it. Alternately we can start another, there.

BUT, the reason it's been moved back and forth is that the FAQ thread "dies" on the resorts board..and people end up coming to the community thread for info on the resort...which the mods say is off topic and should go to the resort board. When it happens enough, they give up, and move the thread back to resorts. Then a mod takes issue with all the off topic chat, and moves the thread back to community (after hacking it up for a while). Round and round we go...

Just give us direction..and we'll follow it.

It was my understanding that this was a "lite" thread and covered all kinds of topics... That there was an official FAQ thread out there, I am a member of the official one also.

I agree! I think this has happened several times in the last couple of years.
