Love the roll call! I am 36 and have been running semi regularly for the last 6 years. Have done both the Flying Pig and Country Music Full marathons and the Princess 2 years ago with my oldest daughter. This year I am taking my middle daughter to continue the tradition of running a Disney race when they turn 14.

Really looking forward to it! We are staying at All Star Sports. We switched today from camping due to the Disney Visa discount.

Good luck in your training girls!

Hey- here's another question. My husband is going to be on the sidelines at the P1/2. But now I'm thinking- he's going to be all by himself. I'm sure he'll be fine but 3 hours by himself watching people run by...? Could be a boring time for him? We don't have ChEAR Squad... Will he be kept entertained like we will be? ;)

Roll call answer...45 here...midlife crisis deciding to do the PHM with no previous running experience! (maybe not midlife crisis but perhaps too much wine? :rotfl2:)

2 miles outside this morning and thought I would DIE in the 100% humidity...yes you read that right...100% humidity in San Antonio. Still got what I call a respectable 12:52 per mile. Will do my very, very, very, first 5K on Saturday at Sea World San Antonio (thanks for all the well wishes so far!).

if he plans to move around to see you in more than one spot, he won't be bored! Getting from point to point may be challenging with all the other folks. If he's staying in one spot, he probably still won't get too bored though...at the finish line there will be music and shortly after the start, the race m.c. and characters start to show up and will eventually welcome in the wheelchair racers and winners of the race...then the masses will start to come in and I always found it fun to watch the triumphs and see everyone's costumes...it only took me watching my BF at 2 Disney races to get me thinking I needed to give it a shot...it was a very intoxicating atmosphere!

Oh and I guess we're doing a roll-call? I'm 35 (but got carded 3 times this week at the Food & Wine Fest...WOO HOO! :rotfl2:)...live just outside of Houston, TX.

Thanks! This is helpful to hear it from someone who had been a spectator in the past. I'll give him a map and have him take a walk ;) though he may want to hang at the finish... heck, I want to hang at the finish now! :rotfl:

Are we all 40?? I'm feeling more and more on this thread at home everytime I read that :) :rotfl2:

Am I young on this thread? Woot! I'll take it after spending my days with 18-22 year olds. We were talking about the blizzard of '93 in one of my classes, and the guy sitting next to me said that was the year he was born. I'm 32.

Great !!! So far there is just a couple of us that want to meet up at the retreat. I think it's a great idea and will be more fun then eating alone. I really want to have fun at the race retreat !!!

Count me in. I signed up for the race retreat because I am going solo so would totally love some people to eat/hang with.

I'll be running into my 41st birthday at the W&D 1/2. :) I've been running Disney for about 4 years. Last year was my first PHM though.

I'm 40 in 2014. I plan on going Goofy plus Tink = Mad Hatter.

And of course princess. :)

I'm excited about running into my 40s with you ladies!

I'll be 39 at the race. I've done a half before, way back in 1997! Then I became a mom and running stopped until this year (where did all that time go?).

My training has hit a bump, I have a strange pain on the top of my iliac crest (the bony part you feel when you put your hands on your hips). I see the physical therapist tomorrow, hopefully I can run again soon. I'm walking instead for now.

Big congrats to those who conquered the TOT 10 miler!

I am 29! Trying to get my first half in before the big 3-0. :cheer2: (Actually that's just what I tell non-Disney folks, really my motivation is just a great justification for a trip to the World.)

Running my first 5k on Saturday. Yipes!

I'll be 28 by the time of the race and I can't wait to meet u all in the race retreat! I'm putting together an athletic jasmine outfit for the race. I'm collecting a bunch of knowledge from u all since this is my first athletic endeavor since my military days yeeeeeeaaars ago lol. Eeek!

Will there be another thread for the race retreat meetup?

I'm 29 and will be turning 30 while in WDW... I'm also looking forward to meet everyone. I'm still working on my costume. I found this beautiful blue tutu, that I'll be wearing. I might make a t-shirt saying something with The Dis. I'm not going as a Disney princess, more as Princess Stephanie :-)

Late for roll call (was out of town for 2 days)...I'm 38 but will be 39 in February and will be at Race Retreat dressed as Tinkerbell (wand, wings and all). Can't wait!!!

I will be 39 years and 2 days old when I run the PHM! It will be my birthday celebration!
