Nov. 4th, 2012 Dream cruise meet thread!

We got our cruise documents today, Still lists stateroom as TBD. The suspense is half of the fun of this guaranteed veranda room! We will be happy with any room, sometimes you just have to spin a wheel and see where it lands! See all of you guys in a month! :)

Mine came today too!!!

And I'm STILL waiting for the trip report. I've read all your other ones (one twice) and I'm hooked on your pictures. So . . . are we going to get to read it before we go on the Nov 4 cruise?

LOL....I am hoping to start it yet tonight, if not tomorrow morning. It will be slow going though since I have so much stuff to work on yet in the next month.
I'll post the link in my signature once I get it started.

I did start my TR for the Magic if anyone is interested. it's the grey link in my signature...I love comedians with guitars....

Cruise Documents arrived yesterday! I need to get busy packing we leave for Disney on the 31st and I don't want to be rushing around and scrambling all at the last minute this time!
*as this is standard practice for me for any trip to Florida! LOL

A month from now we'll be in WDW...but I can't believe that it will mean we embark the next day. Getting nervous/anxious/excited!! Cant I start packing yet? :rotfl2:

Our cruise documents arrived yesterday too! DH still won't let me start packing yet. We have to go out of town in a few weeks for a wedding, but when we return the suitcases are staying out! :thumbsup2

We arrive the same day! We're so far away though, I'll be up at 6AM and won't be at our resort til 11-12 hours later. I will no doubt stay way later than planned for on 10/30 and regret it on 10/31 when my alarm goes off and I know that I'm still not ready. :rotfl2:

Yay for weddings! We are headed for a quick trip to DLR this weekend (DH has a conference there, how convenient!). I wonder if I can keep the suitcases out...:scratchin Its not like I'm have people coming both weekends before we leave. Who cares if there are random suitcases, FE gifts, and other assorted things just lying around everywhere? ;)

Sometimes I hate posting from my phone because part of my post disappears and I don't know it until later. And what I posted didn't even really make sense!! :rotfl2: I had to go back and edit my original post! LOL

What I was trying to say is I am totally infamous for running around and trying to pack at the very last second and that really isn't good for me and for my health. Stress is exceptionally bad for my health issues. When we went to FL back in July it was a good thing we had a late flight that day as I was packing my suitcase that afternoon and I was just dumping stuff into it!! I was going to be in FL for over two weeks so I needed a LOT of stuff. And I had to make sure I took my medical stuff that would be really hard to get down there as the equipment is sorta kinda expensive to replace on a whim and not really the kind you rent. Anyway, so I have started a rubbermaid bin and a clothes basket. Our summer is pretty much over here. I want to go, I just need to be organized is all! :thumbsup2

So excited now that I have my cruise documents. Last cruise they arrived while I was on the cruise.

Good evening friends? i am curious as to who is confirmed for Lou Mongello's WDW Cruise 2.0. my hubby and I are booked for those dates (the Dream on Nov 4 for 4 nights). in order to attend we had to use DVC points, so unfortunatly we are not eligible for his "extras". anyone else sailing on this?
it will be our second Disney Cruise. our first being the August weekend getaway on the Magic :)

:lmao: Whoops - I'm sure that was helpful. Glad you have them before this time around!

The Dream is leaving on the webcam right now, can't wait till Nov 4th

Thanks for the reminder. I'm going to try and watch it today! I just pulled it up and can see it docked along with a carnival ship and also a royal carribbean ship - at least that is what it looks like!

I have DOcUMeNTS!!!! It's official....I can start packing!!!

Love that logic! :goodvibes

Hi! Welcome to Disboards! :welcome:

While DH and I are not a part of the WDW radio cruise, there are many on here that are part of the group! Also, you can check out the forums for WDW radio and find a thread of all the people that are going. Regardless of being a part of the group or not, everyone on here is getting very excited!

4 weeks from today!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

I have a cabin assignment; it is 8090. I have been told it is final and I won't be moved. :thumbsup2

I couldn't sleep so I read through some of the old posts tonite...

So now that we are less than 60 days out what is on everyone's list of things to do? I've got our FE lists for both groups so now it's time to figure out gifts! Also we still need to figure out our transportation from Pop to the ship. I've emailed my TA but still waiting to hear back and I'm getting impatient! I'm ready to go! :lmao:

We will be at POP as well prior to the cruise!! We arrive at POP on the 31st! Maybe we will see you there...:wave2:

Luggage! I want to bring an extra carry-on wheeled suitcase on this trip since my carry on bag always gets way too heavy. Packing should be interesting this trip -- I also need to exchange a suitcase I got for last Christmas (yikes, 9 months later...) from my mom. Its from Kohl's so you can return it whenever. Truth be told, I didn't know that I needed to return it until a trip we took in June and I realized its too big (it would easily go over the 50lb weight limit). So that means that I need to buy 2 wheeled (hopefully actually a spinner) suitcases. DH claims he'll use a duffel bag. :rotfl: I laugh because yes, I am an overpacker - but 11 days/10 nights, oh vey - the "problems" Disney vacations give us.

I also need to make my FE (learning to sew!!), and decide on the FE gifts. I actually started on some for some today. That's all the specifics I'm givin'! ;)

I bought each of my DD's luggage from Kohl's for their Bdays the other year. They each got a different make because they wanted different colors/features. Shockingly, both of them had their luggage ripped by the airline on the first use!! I Would strongly recommend looking for one that has the protective rubber strips on the back side as that is where both cases were ripped. The airline agreed that it was their fault and covered the damage, but needless to say, my girls were very disappointed. :sad1: One was so damaged is was not repairable, so her set no longer matches. The other suitcase, they fixed by adding those rubber strips to it so that it is now protected against that kind of damage in the future. :thumbsup2

We will be the only ship in port at Nassau! Just to let everyone know :)

Wow, how were you able to find that out?

I checked our reservations again and it seems we've been assigned our cabin - #8144. yay! we have a home! 27 more days! i still haven't told the girls they're going. I've been busy making all FE's and realized we don't have a fish extender :rolleyes2 i suppose i'll get on that one of these days...

I looked at the Nassau port authority and it shows which ships will be each day :)

Oh cool! They have a website that lists that info? That's pretty neat. :)

One time when we were there, we were the first ship in and then several hours later, another arrived... seemed wierd that it arrived at such an unusual time but I guess there was a reason why, we just don't know. :scratchin
