Room service breakfast?

Eek! No breakfast options on the room service menu? Why?
I was hoping to enjoy breakfast on my extended verandah!! It was going to be lovely!
What are my other options?

There is a menu in your stateroom to fill out and hang on your door handle the night before. It has pretty standard cold breakfast items- toast, cereal, pastries, coffee, teas etc.

We never had a menu in our room last time. I could have asked our steward for one, but I just wanted coffee the one time I called. I called the night before for morning delivery. No problem!

I didn't state it clearly, but my point was, if you don't see a menu, ask for one :)

If you want more than just the standard room service cold items, you could go up to the breakfast buffet and bring a tray of the hot items back down to your cabin. It only takes a few minutes, and you get to enjoy some quiet morning time on your vernadah instead of the noise and crowds at the buffet.

Our door tags were in the center desk drawer. My MIL was in another stateroom and didn't even realize they were in there until she was packing everything up to come home and opened the drawer to make sure she had everything. Your stateroom host has plenty on his/her cart and can easily get you some in case you don't see any or run out. Have fun!

I couldn't find the breakfast door hangers either. They were eventually found in a desk drawer but I picked some up at Guest Services, no biggie.

There is a hard cover book with all of the ship information in each stateroom. It contains the standard room service menu (not breakfast). As others have said, there is a card in the desk drawer with continental breakfast options to check-off including: teas, milks, coffees (reg/decaf), 3 or 4 juices, 5 or 6 cold cereals, donuts (Krispy Kreme for FL sailings), croissants, english muffins, and toast to name a few of the main items. It is basically similar to a hotels continental breakfast. Once you complete the card witha delivery time window (half hour increments starting around 6 AM), hang it on your door before going to bed at night.

One other option is to run upstairs to Cabanas, get breakfast and bring it back to your Stateroom.

DH did that for a couple of mornings- came back with omelets and some other goodies! AND a server/busser/CM!
The fellow REFUSED to let DH carry the full tray back to the stateroom- he insisted on carrying it and following him back! Of course he got a tip, but he tried to refuse it.

Nothing like a fresh hot omelet and juice on your verandah while cruising!!

If I do the really nutty and ambitious thing of hitting the spa stretch classes every morning at 7am on the Magic, is there a grab & go breakfast that early? Other than room service?

If I recall correctly from last month on the Magic, it seemed like the Cove Cafe opened at 7, but I don't remember anything earlier.

I see room service starts around 7. We are early risers (guess we ARE getting old). I would love to hang the card on the door and have coffee and something light delivered around 6AM. Has anyone done that before? I look forward to having coffee on my balcony. My concern is the time they will deliver. Not looking for a full breakfast. If they say 24 hour room service I have to imagine I should be able to get coffee and something light?:coffee:

Anyone done this before?

Pretty sure that Pluto's had something for breakfast last week, too.

IIRC Goofy's Galley opens at 6:30 (port days) or 7:00 (sea days). It has fruit, cereal, yogurt & pastries available.

Room service is 24/7 except during the muster drill and the last night.

Goofy's Galley opens by 7....I totally believe the 6:30, but I don't get up that early on vacation to say that I SAW it open.:thumbsup2

I'm curious about ordering in the middle of the night...not that I would ever do that, but wouldn't you feel like you're waking the staff up to go make you food?

Try going and wandering around the ship at 4:30 am sometime.
There are always crew up and working. Given that they say 24 hours, I'd imagine Disney has staff waiting around whether anyone actually orders or not.

The exercise facility has some bananas and oranges, so if you just want a little fruit before stretch time, you can easily get it right there. Unless they are late putting it out!

I've yet to go on my first DCL trip (one more month!!) but I've been collecting tips and advice like it's my job. If all you want is coffee and fruit for the morning, you can have it delivered before you go to bed- it'll come in an insulated carafe that reportedly will keep it hot till te morning for that important first cup. Good esp if one person is an early riser and doesnt want to wake the other.
