I miss the lodge so much! As I sit here on a rainy New England day sipping my tea, I am thinking that I would much rather be sitting in front of that great fieldstone fireplace~~~:lovestruc

Amazing photos!

j-jhall where are you going to get those awesome view shots! First time visit to the WL in June and I for sure want to go get some of those!!!!

I was able to sign us up to be the flag family, which is where we were able to go up to the roof with the ranger and raise the Lodge's flags. It was awesome!!

Thank you to everyone who has posted photos; I've loved looking at them and dreaming myself back at WL/VWL.

Here are a few from the VWL lobby. I haven't seen anyone post a photo of the little mouse before and wonder how many people know he's there.

We recently took a trip to Wilderness Lodge at the beginning of September and while I was posting my trip report, several people commented that they don't see many photos for the DVC villas, so I thought I would share

We had room number 3524

Stacey was on - YAY !!

Our room was basically right around the corner from the elevator. Which is a good thing if you can’t walk very far. But it isn’t a good thing if you are a light sleeper. Because the elevator dings every time the door opens and closes. This begins happening around 5:30 AM and continues pretty much all day and most of the night until midnight. I tried to ignore and not let it bother me, but next time I might ask for another room.

We spent very little time out there, so it wasn’t a big deal. But perhaps, if we had a better view, we would have spent more time out there.

We all got dressed and went to check out the resort.

The Hidden Springs Pool

This pool had these giant jets on the bottom that created these huge bubblers throughout the pool. There were about four or five of them. It was really cool.

Where is this mouse? I know my kids will want to see this!

He's in the main VWL lobby, where my first photo was taken. If I remember correctly, he's just a bit further to the left, beyond the edge of the photo.

Thanks to everyone who has posted pictures. Checking this thread everyday has helped build anticipation for my trip. Mickey mail arrived this weekend and in 31 days I will be back home at WL. :cool1:

Thanks for all those great pictures:goodvibes

:sad1: We just returned from staying at VWL and I am already home sick.

I

The only thing the Villas don't have is the bear face view. I was never big on that anyway. Too much noise coming in off that courtyard. :goodvibes

What bear face?

The villas have their own charm and fantastic rooms, what they don't have is a view of the main courtyard and pool. Look for the bear face outlined in blue (I made the snout too short, but it gives you the idea):

The view was a woods view - we were on Club Level - so there are not bookable "views", but that would be consistent with a woods view (North Wing). :goodvibes[/QUOTE]

Was this a woods view by Otter pond? What was your room #. We are staying CL next year and trying to get a request together.

Thanks

Our room number was 7042. It actually overlooked the smokehouse, which some people may not have liked...but who looks down when you've got the castle smacking you in the face when you look out! :goodvibes
