Glad you liked your stay ay Pop !!I love it there ,, I am however anxiuos to try AoA!!!!!
I am betting that the repair person is a mom or big sister. It's nice that she was so patient with Anakin. Loren used to love watching anybody work on things. Now he loves working on things himself.

Sounds like you had a great time! Too bad you didn't see George Lucas but I think that you guys enjoyed yourselves just fine without seeing him.
yay for more wookie dust! Anakin looks so happy!
I thought the same thing about Star Wars in 60 Minutes. It would be great at SWW. I posted on FB that it like watching your children play out the movies in the backyard. So glad ya'll caught it too.
Jake Lloyd sounds really nice.
Sorry your camera died. I'm really enjoying your pics, funny how we both saw different things.
He is allergic to oak pollen and does take allergy medicine when it's that season. So right now, that shouldn't be a problem.
The other kids were amazing. They are all homeschoolers aged 8 to 18. They all encouraged each other with positive feedback. It was so nice to see them get along so well. It was a great learning environment!
Update on Anakin. I got a call yesterday from his neurologist. We go there next week. His lab results came back that his vitamin D levels are still too low.
Yesterday he was a bit out of sorts. He cried alot. And at the drop of a hat. He said it was a sad day. I kept showing him all the happy things around us. He finished his Chewbacca bird feeder which got a smile. Hopefully today he will be back to his normal joyful self.
The little ewok in this picture quickly became friends with Anakin. She had alot of spunk and a sense of humor. At one point she told Anakin that he can be glad he dressed as a bounty hunter, because if he had dressed as a stormtrooper she would have bit his arm off. It took all Goofy had not to die laughing. Anakin just said, "I guess that is good I dressed as Boba Fett."
Oh goodness, she sounds like a character. LOVE IT!
The show started. It was partly him explaining his roles and part movie clips. They showed a movie clip of him getting his face cast for make up. It was the same type of stuff they put in your mouth for dental imprints. But this was all over his face. Eventually he only had two little pin holes as nose holes. This was more than Anakin could take.
He took off his Boba Fett cape and made it into a blindfold so he couldn't see the screen. He put his mask over top. He whispered to me that he is going to sleep because this is too much. So he took almost an hour nap.
Wise move! He is doing better in some ways than I would have done at his age (and much older), I usually insist on getting out of scary situations.
He had a problem on Sunday night. We were on the monorail and he started drooling like crazy. Soaked the collar of his shirt. He could have used a bib. I held a wad of tissues at his mouth. Not sure what happened, but even when he talked his mouth was filled. It really bothered him. Since it was out of the ordinary and never happened before, we gave him his emergency med when he said he felt dizzy. We headed over to the fairies since it had a long line. That gave him lots of time to cool down. We did not go on any rides. Just saw the fairies (Tink and Periwinkle), ate supper, then played a round of Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom before heading back to the room.
Anakin had some cluster seizures this morning. While he is taking it easy and doing fine now, I thought I'd post an update, so that is soon to come.
I am sorry to hear about the seizures. I am glad to hear he is taking it easy and doesn't seem to be showing any side effects.
All caught up!
Ugh, I am terribly allergic to oak pollen as well, and it is everywhere here. Raleigh's nickname is "The City of Oaks" and man, I love it here but hate that about it. I get allergy shots now though and they've really helped a lot. Glad to hear his acting classes are going well, I still think that's really neat.
Sorry to hear Anakin's Vitamin D levels are too low and he was unhappy. I hope he gets his levels back in check, that should help him feel better.
How strange. I hope that is a one-time deal, sounds like it was handled pretty well though. That must have been scary for everyone!
Hoping and praying Anakin is doing better.
Very cool that you stayed at Pop recently. I do love it there. Kinda weird though about the maintenance. I would think they would do that when the room was not occupied.
Sorry to hear that Anakin has been having more struggles. That just isn't fair..or fun for either of you!
Looks like some good interactions again. I am totally not aware of who any of these people are... but I am sure that for Anakin seeing them all must be an experience!!! Oh.. but I do recognize one name... George Lucas?! Wow.. so did you get to see him? Or was it just a short surprise appearance?
Jake Lloyd is the actor who portrayed the boy, Anakin Skywalker in Episode 1.
OHHHH, like in the movie movie? I get so confused with all the animated stuff...old movies..new movies.
Hi! Catching up from vacation! Love Day 3 - Anakins interaction with Jake Lloyd was pretty cool. I agree great on Jake's part for getting down to a childs level and interacting with them. So much more special for a child.
So sorry to hear Anakin had seizures recently. Sounds like they have calmed down. Sure hope so.
Would you stay in the 50's section again? Would you recommend for adults without kids?
It depends what you are looking for. If you want peace and quiet, I would suggest building 3 in the 50's section, lake view. They are standard rooms, and have very little foot traffic.
We were in room 3134 and could see Epcot fireworks from our room. Little Mermaid section was right across the lake from us, so we had a beautiful view.
His seizures have been less frequent since we switched to a pediatric neurologist in March. He had a nasty set of clusters on Friday night. And another seizure on Sunday night last week. He use to have them almost every night. So this is a huge improvement!!
I hope that we will soon be able to say we are a month seizure free again. that was the longest stretch we went!
