November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

I look all the time. Don't think I would actually change anything, but I just like to look just in case.

I looked back when BOG ressies opened and my wife yelled at me for considering changing the plan!

I did add a day and dropped PH, but other than that we're still rolling as planned a couple of months back.

2 months until we arrive today!

Happy Monday Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Myself, well I had a very busy one. Got the call that my baby sis was on her way to the hospital cause it was baby time Fri morning. After hair appt. I head home to pack, wait for kiddies to get out of school and DSIS to get off work so we could head out to Charlotte. This changed our original plans of attending a wedding that Sat. however Baby Girl Iliyana Naomi was born at 3:22am on Sept. 15th so it was well worth it. After spending time with baby and family we headed back home to host a friend’s baby shower at his house at 7pm. Then yesterday it was back to cheer practice followed by a 2nd babyshower at the cheer gym for the coach. Ended last night of course watching football (GO GIANTS!!!!!) So here we are...Monday morning and it's back to the grind.

Just got off the phone with Disney and I paid off the balance of our trip (9 days early)!!!

Also went online and purchased our MVMCP tickets for Nov 15th!!!

Still need to order PP+.

Dang, we paid ours off in May when we booked it and no Mickey Mail for us yet. Looking forward to the cool new luggage tags.

Ours was paid off over 9 weeks go and we haven't gotten it either...we arrive 11/1. Hopefully soon! I'm anxious!

I know my H will lvoe the skillett, but everyone else was going to do a'la carte. I'm not going to drop the ressie until I actually see the menu, but I want to have a back up in place NOW, before everyone else jumps ship!

It's the night of our MVMCP so now I'm lost as to where we should eat... there isn't much open this close to the date...

Here are my choices:
Maya Grill (Coronado Springs) @ 5:15
Raglan Road (DTD) @ 5

Should we do a counter service in MK since we'll be there for the party anyway? Or eat at our resort (AoA)? We have the DxDP so I hate to "waste" a TS credit, but I will... and to think, I was SO happy with my ADRs....

I would definitely eat in the MK on the party night. WCC would have been great, but I think if you continue to check every day, something in MK will come up. What is the date you were going to WCC and was it for lunch or dinner? If nothing comes up for that date and you get rid of the WCC, I would do Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square. It's a QS location that seems more like TS. Good luck to you!

So some sad news. I had to cancel our trip we needed to get a new car. We decided to pay a decent down payment and a the TTL. We are going to go to Seaworld ,and IOA. We are AP holders to Seaworld and Busch Gardens. We will go to Disney next year with my parents. Probably to celebrate DD turning 4 and the holidays we saved $1200 by not going. I'm sad, but still grateful to get a new car and a vacation.

Sorry to hear it. Nice to have a new car though and still a vacation. Have fun!

So we are thinking of just going to MVMCP. Their are still tickets available, so we could at least go to MK for a bit.

That would be fun and give a Disney fix.

Good morning all!

My wife came up with a great plan for keeping the secret from the kids. Every time when we get in the car we say we're going to Disney World. When we do that they say "No we're not. Disney World is in Florida and we live in Texas!" or they remind us that we're not supposed to go until next year.

Just another way to have fun with the kids prior to the trip.

Just got off the phone with TA. Trip is paid and she made notes to see if we can take part in the fastpass testing!!!

Yay!!!! I just paid off the remaining balance on the trip.
I also called and booked the Magical Express.

I feel like I still have so much to do since I really haven't been doing much the last 2 months. I still need to book the stroller, print all our confirmations, make the invites and tip envelopes and I still have one set of t-shirts to make. There's more of course but that's what comes to mind now.

Have you guys heard that BOG will be serving wine and beer for dinner meals only? I don't know how everyone feels, but I just hate for MK to no longer be "dry". I know it's just for dinner and won't be served "to go", but it just feels wrong to me for some reason. I am in the minority I know, and it won't ruin my visit and I won't lose sleep over it, just a bit disappointed is all. What do all of you think? (no right or wrong, just how we feel.)

I was sad to hear it. I hope they won't start selling it other places in MK.

Good Morning!!!!!! I am slightly freaking out! I dont think we have enough spending money! I was looking at the bills and Im not sure(the way the dates fall) if I will be able to put much more in there. I have some bills coming up next month that I dont normally have -HOA, Water and Car tags- I feel like im gonna have a panic attack!

Well at least you won't need grocery money for that week. I know how you feel though. We will probably be eating pb and j until we leave for Disney.

We dont leave for 2 months...but we only just decided to do this trip a week ago.

Last time we booked almost a year 1/2 away...

Now I feel like I have a million things to do...but yet still don't.
ADR's for the most part are done,maybe just one more (famous last words right) but so far are not too shabby

Purchasing MVMCP tix next week and i'll have our park ticket money next week, too
Still need to purchase Photopass+ and gather spending money, then i think we'll be set

I feel like i should be doing something Disney planning related, but can't think of anything that needs to be done at this time. Luckily, i've got a birthday party, Halloween party & Thanksgiving Dinner, among other things, to organize while i wait to finish packing.

Please, do not feel that I am 'rubbing it in' and if you do, I apologize in advance! But after reading of many peoples nervousness about funds, on this and other threads, I feel much better than I had previously! And want to share my good feeling! DH is disabled and we live on a very tight yearly budget of just my income so I am a huge worrier when it comes to money. We have been saving or this trip since our last one 3 years ago, so I'm feeling really good about where I am at.

I paid off Disney 6 weeks go, bought plane tickets 8 week ago, pre-purchased photopass +, rental car reserved, Harmony Barber Shop reservations made, all ADR's made (using DDP), new suitcases and clothes for everyone AND have just over $2,000 saved for spending money (which I WAS worried about not having enough)!!

I am READY for 11/1! Yay!!!

If you do gift cards at WDW, you need to get the Disney gift card app. It works great to keep track of how much is left on a card...the minute you walk away from the register. Better than having to remember it, write on it, or have the balance checked!

That reminds me that I need to order the PP+ too. Tried to order online but they won't take my Disney Rewards Redemption Card through the website so I wanted to call them but they are only open from 9am until 1pm EDT. I'll have to try to remember to call tomorrow to see if they'll take this as payment.
