All those home parties of beauty creams and health products out there. Is there a company or product you absolutely stand by? For example....Arbonne, Shaklee, Mary Kay, etc...

So far...my DD has been using the mud soap from Seacret and definitely a difference in the acne!

Also, we went to our first Thirty-one party maybe a year ago and DD bought a purse (well...probably a mini suitcase with the size of it! LOL!) & all I kept thinking was the way she throws purses around & it seemed to me that since it was thin fabric that it would certainly wear a hole/rip/snag or whatever -- NOPE...I've been amazed at its durability. I thought for sure it would have fallen apart by now based on my experience with fabrics (i.e...holes in jeans, fraying, etc...).

Other than that, I don't really use make-up so I can't tell you about any of the Mary-Kay, Avon, etc... products that I absolutely love.

I also know that Discovery Toys stands behind their prodcuts very well but I haven't had any of their products in over 17 years.

I'm involved with a company that uses a similar sales model but not any of the above. I'm always interested to see what is being sold this way when I go to my networking meetings. I was trying to figure out the other day if you could buy everything you needed via direct sales/mlm people & I think you pretty much could. LOL!

Dove soap to wash my face and good'ole Oil of Olay for moisturizer. I have been using it since I was a teenager. I have tried other things and nothing makes my face feel as nice and look as good as this combination.

I have been a customer of Melaleuca for 8 years now, they manufacture over 400 consumable products, my family saves money, earns money and is definitely healthier because we switched stores to shop with Melaleuca.
Because everyone has to buy consumables for their family like deodorant, laundry det, etc regardless of economic times we have continued to grow despite the recession. I set up online wholesale customer accounts for them from my computer which has allowed me to replace my teaching income and be home with my family.
Company has an A+ rating with the BBB and with my family :)

Dove soap, Oil of olay and secret deodorant.
My dh even uses OIl of Olay complete... it is a great sunscreen.

From the time I was about 22-25 I used Artistry on my face... people would routinely think I was a HS student. I do not wear makeup, so this was just the soap, toner and lotion. Then I bounced around with over the counter stuff for about 5 years and I aged about 10 years in that span. In the spring I started using Arbonne and I look a bit better than I did a year ago.
So I would recommend either the Artistry or Arbonne (the RE age defying stuff) products.

ROC retinol eye cream (for wrinkles, dark spots, under eye puffiness)

Clarisonic facial washer - this actually took some time but wow, after 25 years of 'monthly' acne flare ups, I see a difference using their acne brush. I might get some small tiny things but not the huge horrible things that my visitor would bring!

Sonicare toothbrush and glide floss - Strong teeth and good breath are a foundation of 'healthy' for me.

Kerastase oleo relax - Best stuff to straighten hair (I have curly hair and rarely straighten it but when I used to straighten it all the time, this was the best stuff.)

SPF 50+ - Best beauty product is sunscreen!!

I have more make up items that are must have than other beauty items - MAC lipstick, MAC studio fix, Benefit and Make up forever's eye creams, Make up forever waterproof eyeliner sticks, Burts Bees shimmer sticks, and Benefit's under eye pink brightener.

I don't use dove but LOVE oil of olay moisturizers. The 7 effects is the one product I refuse to go without.

Origins for face products, sonicare brushes for teeth. Everything else is negotiable. ;)

YES! Love ROC products!

Vaseline - I use it maybe 3 times a week after I get out of the shower at night to replace my moisturizer (going back and forth between Oil of Olay Night Cream and St. Ives Moisturizer - great reviews btw http://www.amazon.com/St-Ives-Moisturizer-Timeless-Collagen/dp/B000UVZU1S) and the Vaseline makes my face feel really smooth in the morning.

L'oreal BB Creme - I'm always trying new BB creams (have used Garnier, Too Faced and ROC) and this one works very well! It's very smooth and don't even have to apply concealer or liquid foundation. If i'm especially oily that day, i'll use some loose powder to cover up the oil spots, but this works great!

I love hydroflasks. I use mine everyday. Even took them to China with me.

As for the sell from home products, I have found the quality to be good from Pampered Chef and Thirty-one bags.

I love hearing what all people like for products.

I absolutely believe in Scentsy products, but in the interest of full disclosure I sell them. :p

Someone else mentioned Dove soap. I wouldn't have thought of that on my own, but I've used it for years and can't go without!

Is that through a consultant?

That is the one thing I don't like about so many of these products......the high sales pitch that comes with it to buy MORE stuff.

Did she get the 5th avenue purse? My friend has that and man, she can fit a couple of small kids in there!

Burt's Bees Chapstick
Philosophy Hope In a Jar, Purity and Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash

I love Shaklee Vivix. It has worked wonders for my arthritis. Hubby swears by the vitamins also. I'm a distributor too, helps me get the products a lot cheaper.
