Campsite Discount

Just thought I would call Disney reservations to see if any fall discounts apply to campsite and YES they do. Only 10% but I'll take it!!!!! Everyone going now to December should call and see!!! Good Luck!!! Maybe you'll get extra Disney $$ too!!

Hi, I called this AM, and the CM said it was only for tent and pop-up and not premium. Did you get for something else?

Like pp, I too called today, and was told it was only tent/pop-up sites. Told me to check back later to see if anything else came up It was the same thing with AAA, nothing available in preferred. Guess they are over - loaded with a surplus of tent/pop-up. They should turn more of them into premium/preferred

I'm still calling every week or so to see if something opens up for our trip. The closer we get the more often I'll call as the chance of someone else canceling gets better.

I called again today when the AP discounts became available, and they said only tent/pop-up sites for this discount also.

I told the CM that maybe they should have less of those and more of the other sites and she said that it is true they don't get filled very fast in comparison.
I think this is the first time in years that I have gotten upset with Disney

I will say that the Fort fills the Partials on every spring weekend and nearly every fall weekend too (when tent camping is at its most pleasant). I've seen it myself in the spring and based on reports here in the past of trying to get fall sites, the same is true.

The Partials only are 11% of all sites. What dates are you looking at, North of Mouse? Was it in the October-November time frame or into December?

bama_ed, we already have our campsites, but like most people on here, usually look for discounts along the way - that's what the CM's encourage us to do when we first book and ask. They also agreed that the partials were not full was the reason they were only offering discounts on those, and not all.

I have no idea what got into parrothead64, as I posted innocently enough on my findings and frustrations, especially when I was told initially that I could pretty well count on a discount from one of the sources that usually give them.

Also, what does the number of campsites matter - there also is not a large number of preferred either. Some people just like to jump on their high horse when I'm just posting about this thread's topic

Sorry for my delay in replying to everyone, the last week of August is crazy for back to school readiness!! Oh, I m soooo ready too!! Anyway, I decided to just take pop-up site because I want loop 1500 and it's only 5 nights. I know they are small but we don't really plan to be there all day anyway. So looking forward to it. Hoping other upgraded sites run discounts for everyone else too.

ahh, several minutes later, she's determined the campsites qualify, but nothing left for tent/pop-up sites.......but she did confirm the other sites qualify as well (premium, etc)...said it is a 5% discount that starts 30 Sep to sometime in December....

5% is better than 0%! Buys a few mickey bars!

I just got off the phone with reservations and they said the discounts were for full hookups not tent/popup sites

Just called to check to see if we qualified (premium site) and the CM said No, these were not available. Has anyone gotten a discount for a premium?

Partially - Two of my posts on this thread are missing, also two of parrothead64's posts that I had responded to here. Does anyone know if someone else, besides yourself, can delete your post? It has sure happened here. He evidently deleted his, also my responses, as I had quoted him

By the way, bama_ed, you responded also. Do you have any idea what happened. I've never heard of anyone besides yourself being able to delete your post, definitely not another Diser

I just checked online for October 15-19 which I guess was a slow week and there were discounts for all site types. Looked like about 5%.

None for us (preferred) 11/27 - 12/7 Have been trying for every type discounts and they said they only had them for tent/pop up. The CM told me they had lots of those sites left is the reason She said to keep trying, but I've nearly given up.

I reserved a preferred spot for the 3rd week in April 2013 and was thrilled to get a 15% AAA discount. It was the first time we were able to get one (and it looks like 15% is high for the campsites (woo hoo!) Like others have said keep on trying and don't give up!
