Boo to You & Turning 2! Oct 2012 PTR *NEW* 10/30 We're Back! TR Link Posted!!

Great plans for his birthday! Sticking to stuff he can ride this day is a good plan. BTW, I love the picture with Tigger! I hope he enjoys CP just as much this time around!

Paxton's b-day plans sound perfect!! I love how you guys are really focusing on his likes for the day :thumbsup2

What great scores on your shopping trip!! Sounds like you got some amazing deals at Children's Place :)

I love the purchases you made!!! Great shirts, dress is pretty. Yay!! I love new clothes but hate clothes shopping for myself. I could buy Alex clothes all day every day LOL. Love the new pics of Paxton too. He's just so cute! Always reminds me so much of Alex. That pic of McKayla is hilarious! I am sad that the Olympics are over but now it's SHARK WEEK. :cool1::cool1: Sorry I haven't been around a lot. I don't get a whole lot of free time to get on here and catch up with everyone.

I have trouble finding stuff for myself usually, but shopping for Paxton is NO PROBLEM! Actually, I do usually have trouble when shopping for Paxton deciding what to put back when I am picking out too many things! :lmao:

I think the same thing when I see pics of Alex. Paxton is just now getting into saying "cheese" for the camera all the time too! They are just the coolest & cutest little guys. :goodvibes

Birthday plans look AWESOME! And I mean that bc like Jenny, we have the same plans! Yay! hahaha.

Nice job shopping! the shirts look great! I wish DH would show interest in wearing those sorts of shirts. He wears mostly button-downs and they are HOT! I love your dress, too!

Haha Looks like that is a popular choice for WDW birthdays. :thumbsup2 They would be the plans for myself as well were I ever in the park on my actual birthday. I think we will just stick with the fall birthdays for now though. :lmao:

Crystal Palace is where the cool kids go for their birthdays. :cool2: :rotfl:

Of course! party:

Paxton's B-day plans look great! You can't beat a breakfast at the CP followed by a day at the MK! I also think tacos and ice cream cake sounds good too! :rotfl2:

Great shopping! Maybe I need to check out the Children's place, I would love to get Everett some shorts for next year for cheap. I usually try to buy all his clothes a season ahead, and I'm doing well with shirts for next summer, but I don't have enough shorts.

I'm really excited about it, I think it's going to be a fun & memorable day all around! And hopefully we will be able to celebrate Paxton's birthday in WDW for many birthdays to come. I'm thinking when we are ready for #2, we will have to plan it accordingly for another fall birthday just to be fair. :lmao: Or maybe a December baby so we can alternate Halloween and Christmas trips! :santa:

We always try to buy ahead too so we are not scrambling when the season changes and he has no clothes. We really racked up at Children's Place, and they usually run really good sales online. I know they are always sending me emails for clearance sales, and 20-40% off items! I think most of his clothes come from there, Target, and of course, Disney parks!

I hope he loves it this time too, because last time was SO fun and unexpected! Not only did he love the characters, they really seemed to love him back, especially Tigger! One of our favorite memories from that trip for sure.

I figured it was only fair the make the day all about the Birthday Boy. :thumbsup2 He is the reason the four adults are going to Disney that week, after all!

We don't go to the mall very often, so I was glad we went that day and caught that awesome sale! We are so set on shorts for the next couple of years. :rotfl:

Great finds at Burlington! 4.99 for those shirts is awesome! I havent tried to wear a dress at WDW. I love wearing dresses at home, but I haven't tried anything besides tennis shoes in the park because I am afraid of my feet hurting. I could pack one for one of our off days...I will have to think more about that :)

Although I love to shop I am not much of a mall shopper. I do not know what it is but I tend to avoid the mall at all costs. Every once in awhile I will stop by to check out Childrens Place or Gap but then I always end up leaving right after that. With that said I have never thought to look at Macys for cute Mickey clothes. I just love that shirt!

I haven't tried it yet either, so I'm excited to for our DL trip next weekend, and if it works out well I will bring a couple on our October trip. I usually wear tennis shoes in the parks too, so I researched opinions here on the DIS and got myself a pair of Teva Mush flip flops. They are really comfortable, but very athletic looking too so they won't go with many of the dresses I have. Since the dresses fold up so small in the luggage (we are only taking a carryon each!), I have a little room for alternative outfits if I need to wear tennis shoes and give my feet a break from the flip flops, but I'm hoping they are comfortable enough to wear all day.

I totally get the mall thing! We only go every once in awhile because our mall is usually so packed on the weekends. We have our few stores we look in and then we get the heck out of there. I think the first shirt I found at Macy's was the blue Donald Duck top I bought, and since then I have gotten a cute Minnie Mouse one (I think I posted it in this PTR once), and now this Mickey one. I always make sure to check there now before we leave!

Score on all your great shopping finds! Sounds like you are going to be outfitted just fine for your October trip.

There is a DISmeet in the works for October 18th in the afternoon at Epcot, but I think you are arriving later than that. If not, let me know and I will give you the details!

Aw, that sounds like so much fun, but you are right, we are not arriving until the 21st! :sad1:

Just wanted to stop in and do a quick update before we leave for our anniversary trip this weekend! DH and I are so excited to head back to Disneyland for the weekend and get a chance to check out Carsland. I'm a little nervous about leaving DS for so long, but I think this will be good for the two of us. We have never really spent more than a couple of days away from DS and we have definitely never been this far away, always within driving distance. So that is getting me a little stressed, but hopefully I'll be okay. :goodvibes The weather is supposed to be really nice there this weekend, so I hope that holds true!

Since we are flying Delta and would have to pay to check a bag, DH has been pushing for us to just take a carryon each. That was giving me heart palpitations! But last weekend we decided to "practice" pack and turns out I will be able to bring everything I was planning to bring and still have room for any souvenirs I may buy while we are there. :thumbsup2 I was getting a little too nervous that I wouldn't be able to fit everything in just a carryon, but between that and my backpack that will be my personal item, I should have plenty of room.

In a quick life update, DS started full time daycare last week. I'll admit I felt kind of guilty sending him 5 days a week when I only work 2 days out of the workweek, but he absolutely LOVES it there! After a few days of him getting excited when he was dropped off, I stopped feeling quite so guilty. It lets me get a lot more done around the house and errands I didn't feel like doing when I was home with him. In fact, it was kind of funny...last Monday on his first day, DH and I both went to drop him off. As soon as we stepped in his classroom, he wriggled down from my arms, waved at us and yelled, "Bye!" We stop to meet his teacher and give her all of his stuff (diapers, wipes, blanket, change of clothes) and he turns around to see us still standing there and yells again, "Bye!" as if he was thinking Why are y'all still here? I'm fine! :lmao: He comes home everyday with his hair matted with sweat and covered in dirt and paint, a sure sign that a good time has been had. :rotfl: While I miss having my little booger around, I know he is having a great time making new friends at "big school."

Well, anyway, I'll stop rambling. I'll be back next week, more than likely with a TR link for our Disneyland weekend! Hopefully I can get it done before we leave for WDW in October. :thumbsup2

Three more days!?!?!? Lucky you!!

Love the dress you got. In case this hasn't been said before, be sure to pack some light sweaters. It can get a little chilly in Anaheim in the evening even in the late summer.

Can't wait to hear more about this trip! Yay!

I did think of that since I'll be wearing a few sleeveless dresses, but thank you for the reminder! DH keeps scoffing at me when I tell him I'm bringing a jacket. But he can be the one shivering while we wait for World of Color, I will be nice & warm in my Mickey jacket. :thumbsup2

Wow - 3 days until the big weekend getaway. :cool1: I know how hard it is to leave your kids when they are little, but I really do think its good for all parents to have some private vacation time. So enjoy and try not to worry too much, if you can help it.

Congrats on being able to get everything in a carry-on. Score! I am so bad at that.

So glad that Paxton likes his new school. You are very lucky that the adjustment is going so well.

Wow I didn't realize it was so close! JEALOUS! HAVE AN AWESOME TIME!

Paxton is fine at daycare, I'm sure! I think they have a blast! Especially when there's no other siblings at the moment, daycare has got to be so much fun. :goodvibes Definitely harder on the parents.

And on that note...I'm leaving early from work today because I miss my little girl so much! Missed our mother/daughter monday's since I had to work! BOO!

I keep trying to tell myself that, but I know it will still be a little rough. At least we can Skype/Face Time and still get to see him every day. Plus, I know he will be more than happy to spend a long weekend with my parents since he cries every time we pick him up from them. :rotfl:

I've never had to pack this light before, but I was surprised at how easily I was able to let some things go. The only thing I'm REALLY bummed about is my face wash...they don't make it in a sample size so I'll have to go without for a few days. Hopefully I don't break out too horribly!

I definitely know I'm one of the lucky ones when it comes to daycare. I spent my own first day of Pre-K crying hysterically in the principal's office because I was upsetting the other kids in my class! :rotfl: Other friends of mine started their babies in daycare that same week and didn't have as easy of a time as we did, so I know we are blessed to have a social child.

It kind of snuck up on me too even though I feel like we've been looking forward to it forever!

He's totally fine, which is how I'm so okay with the whole thing. They have one way observation windows upstairs that parents can observe from at any time, and even the mornings he has cried a little when I dropped him off, usually by the time I get upstairs and to his window he's over it. :thumbsup2 I think he loves getting to play with the other kids, go crazy with paint, and play outside twice a day! He has already gone from unable to be trusted with a spoon to feeding himself within a week there! The only problem I'm finding is just what I thought, the fact that they take their naps so early. He's not used to being awake for such a long stretch between nap and bedtime, so evenings are a whiny crying struggle, but I'm hoping after awhile he will adjust to that.

I know what you mean! I feel like I miss him so much more now even though I know he is thriving there. In fact, since we will be apart for so long over the weekend for our trip, I took off of work Tuesday after we come back and he's staying home with me for the day. :goodvibes I figured every once in awhile I'll go pick him up early just to have that extra time with him. I know I will be missing him like crazy!

Have fun on your trip!

I'm sure Paxton will be fine while you're away if his daycare experience is any indication.:thumbsup2

I've been MIA and look what happens?! Your Anniversary trip is hear already!! Have a wonderful time...like I need to say that? But still...hoping for lots of pixie dust along the way!pixiedust:
