Most of us felt that way the first year. But once you're there, and you've been chatting on here, it's like you've known each other forever! Come on, join us!!

If it helps any I'm new this year too and am really shy but the trip sounds like so much fun!!! I know that there are a few other first time Divas also. :thumbsup2

Do any of you watch Big Brother? We have been watching for 9 years now - I am on Team Frank/Boogie this year. Boogie is a not-so-secret crush of mine :rolleyes1

I watch BB. I love it! I am just catching up on the last wk of Big Brother today.

I am new as well. And I haven't had a whole lot of time to come and chat on here to get to know anyone, but I hope to get to know some before the trip. I am really shy too, so I am a little nervous coming on my own for this. I might still try and see if a friend can come with me, cause I am not sure about traveling alone. But I if I have to come alone, I will. I am in serious need of a Disneyland visit!

I am glad not to be the only one. I have never been to any Disney park. I am planing my first trip with my husband for WDW. Also he has a family member getting married in California in may so I though we have never been to California might as well visit Disneyland too. So I found this group and I though it would be fun to visit and get to know and meet some cool people in the process.

My niece and I are thinking we can't resist the fun. How do we get signed up and get tee shirts and learn all the tricks to plan for.... The pictures show some creative costume planning how does that take place.....can't wait to get involved.......

Ok ...I have been lurking on these threads for at least three years wanting to join the fun but not being able to due to timing. This is the YEAR!!! My name is Kit. I am a working mom with a daughter about to go off to college - University of Oregon- this fall, leaving me with an empty nest. I was at the PNW Mousemeet too! I have been every year as it is a great Disney fix that doen not require a plane ride. Sorry I missed the opportunity to meet up with some Divas. Things have been so busy at work that I am way behind on this thread or I might have known. I will be staying at the Grand California. My sister who lives in Nevada and maybe a sister-in-law may come along for the fun as well. So Hello :wave2:

We're all shy. Can't you tell?:rotfl:
Read the first page to find out about all the fun stuff planned for the trip such as the Meet & Greet and the Scavenger Hunt.

Hi everyone! I found our shiny new thread. :goodvibes Back from a very nice and cool beach trip. Had a fantastic time. Came home to 95 degrees. :scared:  Now back to my upside down house. Remodels are fun, but extremely time consuming and MESSY! hope all is well with everyone! :flower3:

FYI .... I had a room at the Hilton this weekend for $80 a night plus $5 for parking fee. Room was wonderful, staff friendly and we did the same thing .... walk to the Toy Story lot and take the shuttle.
That's a great price! How did you get it?

Hi! :welcome: Welcome to the crazy lady's trip! Just stick around and get to know all of us better. Will make meeting everyone much easier. :thumbsup2 At first it is a little scary, but believe me, you won't have much time to stay that way. We pack a lot into our trip. :cool1: Oh, and our ring leader Beth is away for almost 3 weeks. After she gets back, be sure to let her know you want on the list. :goodvibes

WOW! Look at all the new peeps!

One way to ease into it is to come with someone you already know. That's what I did the first year. She came with me again this year, but next year I'll be coming "alone". It's loads of fun! If you want to "ease into" the group activities, I think the Meet & Greet on Thursday evening and the Castle photo are a good start. Then you can just look at your "bucket list" of Disneyland meals and add on any of the group meals that you like. The scavenger hunt is a lot of fun (if you like that sort of thing) too.

"ringleader".... snort.... I was gonna call her our "den mother". :rotfl2:

And since it's supposed to be 100 or higher the next several days, I'm off to the bead store and grocery store while it's still fit for humans outside. Toodles!

OH! I think I met someone from Gig Harbor at the MouseMeet! I wonder if it was you?? :) The PNWMM has been great each year...we usually help each year...this year I helped at registration when you came in & my daughter was a dole whip server!
My daughter will be a senior this year, but I think has mentally departed! It feels like an empty next already!

I woud like to get a pink shirt from last year...Kandace wore it to the MouseMeet & it is SOOOO cute!!

Are they still available & if so, how do I go about getting one?

Send Melody (Tinkermell) a PM. She is the one that makes the pretty tshirts. :)

Ya, just send me a PM, and let me know your size, and I will snoop to see if I have any left. :thumbsup2

Just found out today that my DDKaitlyn (18 1/2) has Valley Fever. She has been having severe pain under her left rib. Valley Fever is a disease that settles into your lungs. It's prevalent in our area, but still rare. I had it when I was 24, but I only know a few other people who have had it. Anywhos, she is going to have to take it really easy for the next 6 weeks before she goes to Australia. It doesn't really go away for 6 months, and that is how long she will be gone. :sad2: I think she will be taking medication the whole time she is there. Our doctor is not even sure if they have the test for Valley Fever in Australia? But he seems to think she will be OK. Going to get more info on her next appointment next week. Just glad it didn't happen while she was gone.

Oh and today I turned 56. Definitely part of the senior citizen crowd.....:sad2: But young at heart! I still loves me ToT, Screamin, Space, Thunder, Splash, Indy and now i get to try Racers!!! :woohoo:

Have a nice day! :goodvibes

Happy Birthday!! See you next month!!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

People get valley fever here, too. I think it's more common here than there though. Hopefully the meds will help her while she's gone!!

Aren't they the cutest? And isn't Kandace the nicest? :)
Welcome to all the new girls! :grouphug: The trip is so mcuh fun. What I love most is seeing old friends, eating and drinking and of course DL. :p

Happy Birthday Mel! Love you friend.:flower3:
(sorry to hear about Kaitlyn having valley fever)

It is so hot here, I am so sick of it. It's been over 100 every day this week with no relief in sight. Blech! I hope Beth is surviving summer in Michigan without A/C. :crazy2:

Mel Happy Birthday!! And girl you are still young AND young at heart. I would NEVER even guess you are close to that age and let me tell you I am 10 years younger and I KNOW you have way more energy that I do!! ;) Hope you had a super fun b-day! So sorry to hear about Katilyn and hope she has fun on her trip!

Nice to meet all the new gals. I went on the trip in 09 and 10 but missed the 11 trip and was THERE during the last one but with my family so looking forward to this year's! My daughter has a cheer comp that weekend but hoping to spend a few events with you all!

I agree about the hot weather! I am SO ready for it to start cooling off. Katy has cheer prac for 3 hours every night and I really worry about them in this heat!

Have a great night everyone!! :)
