Trip #8; But Was It Great? A WDW MAYcation with a side of LegoLand & Celebration, FL!

I'm still here too, Shelly. Loved the video! Your boys sure had fun! That quiet pool looks like the one that was right outside our room when we stayed a couple nights at BC.
What a terrific photo of the boys holding the globe. Very creative!
Well, being the ice cream junkies that we are, I went back to find your 'first day ice cream' day so I could see where you bought it, lol, and am taking mental notes. That, and that the Illuminations viewing spot. What great Epcot pics!
:)
Love all the food pics too! Very helpful.

Glad you're still here!

Thanks! The boys did have a good time. :thumbsup2

Oh yes, I'll never live the ice cream thing down. And you know just where we will be stopping for ice cream next time we are in Epcot!! ::yes::

What a nice way to end the evening. Ice cream, Illuminations, a leisurely stroll through France, great pictures, and a jump in the pool! That was so funny! My girls thought that was funny that he yelled "in your face!" and then got out and said how cold he was!!

I'm still in the mood for a steak (we had pork tonight).

OMG what a funny video! Your boys are hilarious! I love all of the pictures of them.:thumbsup2

It looked like it was a beautiful night! I just love Epcot at night. And Illuminations looks beautiful. We saw the show on an Illuminations cruise this past trip...that show never gets old!

And DD is doing better, thanks for asking! Her bite is gone, and the antibiotics really took care of it. Now she is back to herself, driving me crazy!:rotfl: I'm just glad she is all better!

Great update Shelly!

The Yacht Club lobby looks nice, maybe I'll have to give there a try one of these days.

I loved your pictures of Illuminations and the rest of the nighttime pictures of WS, I just love Epcot at night!

Great video of your DS lol

Beautiful pics of Epcot and Illuminations! Where did you say you were watching from??
Loved the family pics in France.
The furniture in your room looks darker than I remember. I think our furniture was white. From pics I've seen the YC has the dark furniture.:confused3
Interview #1 today!!!:yay:

It was the perfect ending to a great day! :goodvibes

I just told DS13 that he is famous with the ladies now from his pool video and he has a big smile on his face!!

You had better get yourself a steak tonight! ::yes::

Thanks Lauren!

Epcot is beautiful at night. :thumbsup2 IllumiNations is awesome. I bet it was super from the cruise!

So glad your DD is doing better. That's how you know when things are back to normal -- when they start to drive you crazy again! :rotfl:

Thanks Monica! :)

The YC lobby did look nice. Nice and quiet! Much more relaxed than things over at the BC. Too bad they share the same pool.

Glad you enjoyed the pics and video! :cool1:

Interview #1 today!!!:yay:

Thanks. We were about somewhere in Japan and USA. It was a great spot!

The headboard was a darker wood. I think the rest of the furniture was mostly white though.

GOOD LUCK on your interview!!! :wizard: :cheer2:

Only 2 days left to report on!!

Day 7: Friday May 4

Today was a sleep in day! Not exactly sure what time we got up or even what time we got to DTD. We had an 11:30am lunch ADR at T-Rex, so I know we got there before that!

We decided we would just window shop before lunch and then make our purchases after lunch. And we would save the Lego Store for after lunch altogether!! DS10 could not wait to get there after the big let down on the shopping at LL.

The kids wanted to go in the Pin Trader store and see if the pin board was open.

But first the kids stopped for their traditional Mr. Potato Head pic! I have one of them with this thing from every trip!!

We got checked in at T-Rex and were seated a few minutes later. At first the hostess said we were going to be seated in the Ice Cave and we were so happy! We had sat in there the only other time we ate at T-Rex and it was super cool. But then she looked at the paper again and said – oh, my mistake (as we were walked thru the ice cave), you will be sitting over here.....And took us to a table right outside the ice cave. Meanwhile, the ice cave was nearly empty. But whatever. It was still a decent table.

DH got the Bronto Burger with chips and coleslaw.

The kids both got mini-corndogs and chips and jello.

And I got the Supersauras Sampler appetizer for my meal. It is awesome and huge! I don't think I ate half of it. IDK how anyone could eat it (or even part of it) and then a meal. :faint: It comes with spinach & pepper jack queso with tortilla chips, bruschetta, chicken quesadillas, and onion rings.

Everything was very good and we loved our experience there again! It can get a bit loud in there and dark at times, but we really enjoy it! (Okay, DH might think it's too loud, but the rest of us really enjoyed it!!)

And T-Rex is one place we just can't pass up dessert – Donut holes with chocolate and caramel dipping sauce. :lovestruc

Up Next: Will we finally get to ride that dang hot air balloon???

Dang Shelly!! That is a LOT of food!!yes yes!! Tell us about the hot air balloon! I am sad that they are getting rid of it! I guess it is a definite thing too...I have read several places that said after they remove it for repair, they will not bring it back. I thought it was so fun!

I can NOT believe you ordered that monstrous appetizer.:rotfl2: That is enough food for a family of ten.:scared: It looked so good-- I'm glad you ordered it!! Which of those were your favorites and did the boys help you eat it??

Your DH looks like he is saying "I'm only here b/c you love it and I love you so there ya go."

:rotfl2:

I do think I'd like to try it--- although I remember looking at the menu before and not seeing much that my low fat, no calorie nothing fried or yummy DH would eat. Maybe I'll have to force the issue one trip. I love the Wooly Mammoth!!!!:grouphug:

It's sad to see how big the boys have grown year after year at Potato Head. Aww, they are so grown up looking.:sad2:

Thanks for another wonderful update--- It can't be almost over!!

I really want to try the TREX restaurant near where my parents live (I have a more difficult time justifying it at Disney, since there are so many other places I haven't tried). Unfortunately, by the time they built it my youngest brother was too old (he was never really into dinos anyways) and Gideon is still too young. Maybe he'll hit a dino phase in a few years... right now he's all about trains! Everything is a "choo"...
The food looks good though, so maybe next time I'm in the area...

Are they getting rid of it?? I know they took it down after that one in China (I think it was China ?) crashed, but I thought it was supposed to be brought back...

That was so much food. And it was all so very good. ::yes:: I'm not sure which one was my favorite. I liked them all a lot, just couldn't even come close to finishing any of them!! The kids had a few tortilla chips, but that's it.

Yes, DH is not in love with the place. He likes the food, but not all the other stuff going on. :upsidedow

Yeah, IDK if there is much for 'healthy food' there...Maybe a salad!

I know, I think that Mr. Potato Head gets smaller every year!! :rotfl: It can't be that my babies are getting bigger, right?? :scared1:

We love going to it at WDW because it's not WDW owned, therefore it's something different! My kids are WAY past the dinosaur phase, but they love the place. It's just really neat!!

Oh my boys went through the train thing too!! We even took them out to Strasburg (PA) to the train museum and to see miniature train displays, and to go to the Thomas the Tank Engine store! :upsidedow

I ordered the appetizer sampler plate too and I couldn't eat all of it. It's a lotta food but so good!

It is a ton of food!! :faint: But so good! ::yes::

Yum, your lunch at TREX looks delicious! That appetiser looked humongous!

Can't wait to see if you finally got to ride the hot air balloon, and what your DS purchased at the Lego store lol
