I think is what they ment was someone posted on here a few days back that Target was going to stop the 5% on GC. I have not tried yet.

Oh - that I don't know the answer to - not surprisingly, I have NOT read the entire thread, that post just caught my eye when reading on my iPad app since it shows you the most recent post!

Has anyone tried to use their red card at Target since 8/1? Did you get the 5%?

I am not sure since I didn't read all the way back but the only reference to Target changing anything was someone saying that they were told that Target would be changing there computer system to not allow you to purchase a Gift Card with a Target Gift Card, not anything about the red card 5% discount. My husband works for Target and reads all of the bulletins from corporate and hasn't seen anything about changing the discount.

The $10 gift card with a $100 gift card purchase at Sam's is very old. My Sam's hasn't had these in over a year.

I just bought 500 for 475 at Target. Disney Gift Cards in the 50 dollar denominations.

I'm from the Pittsburgh area. Giant Eagle offers I think 20 cents off gas for every $50 you spend in buying gift cards in the store. We recently bought $500 in gift cards and now I have close to $2.00 of per gallon of gas! ( I had some other points already that made it so high!) I think it's a huge deal to go there buy any gift cards for anywhere and get that money off your gas per gallon!!

I just got off the phone with Target though, and now I'm kind of concerned. She said there is going to be a change in their computer system that could mean that you can't use Target gift cards to purchase other kinds of gift cards. I don't want to get stuck with $1,300 in gift cards I can't use. Debating canceling at least half of them. Gah.

ETA: She said we should be good until August first, and could not confirm if the change would affect Disney cards, only that she knew it would change their policy towards Visa gift cards etc.

I asked about the 5% after Aug 1st because of this post. I'm glad to hear the 5% still works. I guess I didn't read the post all the way through to see that it referred to using target gc to buy other gc

Vons had the same deal but max is 25 gallons (even though their info says 30 gallons). But their info also says one vehicle per transaction...

I'm pretty sure you don't get 5% off Target GiftCards, typically (unless there is a special promotion) with your RedCard. You only get 5% off off the other gift cards (because those are "entertainment" cards)

Is there the 4.95 fee for the card like at the store?

I applied the $50 to my reservation last night...and just double checked...there was no fee for purchasing/using it. Not sure if different rules will apply to the $200 deal. Good luck!!
