The Force is Strong in This One: SWW and Celebration VI, Disney Done Differently

Oh, the Magic of Disney. I love how he thought everybody thought he was Boba Fett. This is the reason why we go to Disney.

Agree with Reelmom - this is why we go to Disney too!!! Truly magical!! So glad the interaction with Boba Fett was amazing.

Oh how fun!! That is the pixie dust that Disney is made of. What a magical time.

I agree, the interactions look amazing this time! :thumbsup2 Anakin looks super good in his Boba Fett costume, I can see why he got comments :) I just love that last picture of the two of them together, and how silly about the "arresting dad" part!

I agree about Disney. I was with some of my friends the other day, and they wouldn't stop saying how Disney is not fun once you are older. :sad2: I couldn't disagree more.

Oh yeah, by the way, is Grumpy getting revved up for college? :hyper: I know freshman year of college was probably the best year of my life :) I had a couple of friends go to culinary school, they always posted amazing pictures from their cooking classes! :goodvibes

Why thank you! It was definately a magical moment!

Grumpy went through a ride phase, where he wanted thrill rides. Now he is more interested in the food, and dining around the world. F&W Festival time is his favorite. We get him one of those gift cards and put money on that for him to taste his way around the world. The money goes fast, after that's gone it's out of his pocket!

He became even more excited when he found out that a friend of his he met one summer at driver's ed is going for baking and pastry certification. She'll be there a year with him. He's going for a degree. She went to a vo-tech school so she already has that training plus she works in at a restaurant now. He is going in cold turkey. Never set foot in any kitchen other than our own. I think he has ambition to be a lifelong student. He'd also like to get a degree in marine biology or environmental engineering. But then he also feels the call to become a missionary. He volunteered through high school at a homeless shelter and felt like that was where he was to be. He did food prep once there, but mostly served food and chatted. He loved that they had hydroponics in their garden. Disney helped set that up years ago. It's great that they get to enjoy fresh vegetables from the garden. Since space is limited there in the city, most everything was grown vertically. It was very cool! I volunteered at their women's shelter until Anakin started having seizures, though Anakin did go with me a couple times. After reading the book Same Kind of Different as Me, we were all inspired to volunteer there.

Yes, very magical. Boba Fett was just one of many truely magical M&G that day and the next day. The characters did such a superb job! The cms escorting them were just as wonderful!

Very special memories for all of us!

I never went through a thrill ride phase mainly because the roughest ride I can handle is Pirates of the Caribbean! :lmao: I have terrible motion sickness, which is one of the reasons why I love Disney so much---there is still plenty I can go on! :yay: I think my ambition is to be a lifelong student too, Grumpy and I sound very similar! I would love to just go around and rack up as many bachelor's and master's as I could---if money was infinite of course!! ;) I am in school right now majoring in Biology (Ecology, Evolution, Conservation Science), Plant Biology, and minoring in Environmental Science. I hope to go into conservation work someday. ::yes:: I also love hydroponics, big greenhouse/plant fan here, hence the reason I want to intern at Living with the Land.

But I also love to volunteer like Grumpy, I think my vocation in life is definitely to volunteer at children's hospitals, it's definitely something I want to do throughout my life---if only my health would improve. :worried: I also used to love working with special needs children through Special Olympics and therapeutic horseback riding. Those are my two true volunteering loves: sick children and special needs children. :goodvibes

I hope Grumpy has a smooth transition to college! Glad he knows someone going in, that's always nice! :goodvibes Continued prayers that Anakin remains seizure-free and continues to make strides in all aspects of his life! :)

And now you know way more about me than you ever wanted to! :lmao::blush::blush::blush:

It does sound like you two have some similar fields of interests.

That's great that you like to volunteer. There are so many opportunities in our own communities.

I don't think he'll have any trouble transitioning to college. He's been taking college courses while in high school. thanks for the well wishes for him!

love the Boba Fett pics, esp the one with Goofy :lmao:
so happy Anakin had such a magical day with his costume :)

when does Grumpy start school? sure he is excited! great news he will have a friend attending too!!!

Loving all the Photopass Pics! So glad Fedex finally found you. It is good that they contacted you and didn't just send it back.

Wearing that costume really turned into a good thing! Love that Anakin got to arrest his Dad.:lmao: I'll keep a look out for Boba Fett at Celebrations!

Thanks! This was only the start of the day.

I'm so glad they contacted us.

It turned out to be a great thing. The most amazing part was the weather cooperated with him. Early on it was sunny but the temps were low. Then as it got hot in the afternoon it got overcast and began to drizzle. Eventually it poured, but the timing of the downpour was impeccable...but that's yet to come in the TR.

I hope to crank out some updates today. Anakin is sick with a bad cough, so it will depend on how much mommy time he needs.

We took a glimpse at the Dark Side, now we’re heading to the Light Side hoping to catch Kit Fisto and Shaak Ti. I wish I had taken notes, because the cm with the Jedi M&G was truly awesome! He had personality plus! Anakin the character was out again. We had already seen him, so I asked the cm when we could expect to see Kit Fisto and Shaak Ti. He gave us the time and started talking to my Anakin. He saw the how excited he was about meeting Kit Fisto and Shaak Ti. He asked him a few questions about Star Wars, and was surprised of his knowledge about Shaak Ti and Kit Fisto. The CM said the force is strong in this one. He was able to answer questions that dh and I had no clue of the answers! There was lots of time before they came out.

Someone suggested we go see Captain Rex so we walked over there.

I love the wording on the backround, “Strong with the Force”!

We still had some time. We debated eating at Pizza Planet. We stopped in there and read the menu.

I’m sure it’s always been there but we never noticed Buzz up there before. We hung out at Pizza Planet but decided against eating there.

It was soon time for Kit Fisto and Shaak Ti!! Anakin was sooooo excited to meet them! He was flapping in anticipation even before we got there. His cm friend was there and saw him right away and waved, adding even more to his excitement! It was so nice he acknowledged him! He told the characters that the force was strong in this one. They complimented his Boba Fett costume. And he assured them that he wasn’t Boba Fett, that he was more of a jedi, but he is wearing it for “Bonus Boba Weekend”.

He handed Kit Fisto a Kit Fisto Star Wars trading card to sign. There was quite a bit of conversation over the card. Everybody wanted to see it. He gave Shaak Ti the autograph book to sign.

Kit Fisto went to sign the trading card, but the pen showed up very light. He asked the cm if he had another pen he could use. The cm pulled out a thicker permanent marker. It worked perfectly!

They engaged Anakin in conversation while they signed. He made himself at home and ate up the attention and interaction.

Once Kit Fisto was finished with the card, Shaak Ti handed him the autograph book to sign.

Even as they were posing for pictures the conversation kept flowing!

Next up: Light Side, Dark Side or Lunch? Yes…

How wonderfully fun that was!! I love the attention that the CM and the characters paid to Anakin. You can see the joy in Anakin's face!

love all the pixie dust being showered on Anakin! know he was on :cloud9:, he does know his Star Wars trivia :thumbsup2

Yes! He was definately in his element. It was dreams come true as his favorite movie characters came right off the screen onto the streets of DHS!

No doubt, he was! Every now and then he would encounter someone who would feed his trivia ear and he'd learn new facts.

I'm interested to see what he thinks when he realizes how little he knows compared to the people who will be at Celebration.

Followed your suggestion to Judy and wrote it in word, off and on this morning. So worked on it in between. Ready to copy and paste it!

Glad you followed my suggestion, hope it helped!

Love all the new pictures. Looks like Anakin had some great meet-and-greets! :goodvibes

I hope he's healthy for Celebration VI! How's he doing?

Dh has lost 25 pounds since SWW. He swims in his new costume, and the pants are very loose on his Obi Wan costume. I don't sew, neither does he. This should be interesting as he doesn't want to go to a seamstress, he wants to fix it himself.

Oh that is fantastic!! Congratulations to Goofy!! That should definitely be interesting. I don't envy you at all.

His cough is much better. He had a seizure last night though. The count starts over again. :(

I'm not sure how he is going to fix everything. The shirts can pass, but the pants are really baggy and saggy (if that's a word).
