Walkway is on the 5th floor of BLT and goes into the 4th floor of Contemp. I can't remember how the room #'s go in relation to the floor #'s.

Yes, 2 full baths in 1 bedrooms.

I think sleeper would be fine for 16 year old. My 10 year old slept in it just fine (I know a big diff. in age -although my ds in 55 inches tall,) but I remember reading a lot of reports of adults being fine sleeping in the sleeper.

I think requesting a 5th floor room would be fine, especially good for the convenience. We were going to do this last year, if we didn't get our request of a high floor on the North and outer part of building met. We ended up getting those requests met and had the best Lakeview room ever...-really it was a view of MK. If we can't get a room like that this year, we'll be requesting a room on the 5th floor, for the convenience.

Thanks for all this info!! Im thinking my 18 is tiny and will be happier on a chair than in a bed with her nearly 6 foot tall sister:lmao: It's only a couple of nights, so I think it will be fine.

BLT room numbers start at 71XX for the first floor, 72XX for 2nd, 81XX for the 11th, etc. Ok, its coming back to me now -71 as in 1971:thumbsup2 thanks for helping me to figure it out.

Ps-- you don't remember 2 full baths in BWV because it didn't have it! I think only BLT and AKV 1 BRs have the two full baths.

Yes, only BLT and Kidani have two bathrooms in their one bedrooms; Jambo doesn't.

AHH! That explains my seemingly faulty memory! And the sleeper chair is new too! Well, that makes them more useful to us...When our kids were bitty, we would bring the grandparents and did the 2 BR, but they were in the pack and play then (kids, not the GP:rotfl2:), since then the one bedroom didnt feel like it would be worth it (other than kitchen and laundry) so the last few times weve been weve just stayed in a studio or Wilderness trailer. (last trip we stayed at the other park "which cannot be named", for teens and grandma to meet the boy wizard..btw) so since then AK and CR have added new villas and they seem to have a few more benies!! Sounds good to me! Thanks for the help!

All of the rooms have the pod coffee makers:

.

is there a difference between a pod and a K-cup.
(i know what a k-cup is - use them in work-- but the pod??? not so sure.

The cups and pods are NOT interchangeable. The pods are flat filters with ground coffee in them and not plastic cups:

I took that last month at WL, but they are the same as the CR.

Do they supply d-caff?
Yes, they do:thumbsup2

Same concept but it is a different system (like VHS and Beta). Pods are harder to find, at least around here but similar.

Re: Pullout chairs at BLT

I'm 6'2" and 190 pounds and I would have no problem sleeping on one of the pullout chairs.

It would be snug - it's not the width of a twin mattress - but the length was fine and the mattress pretty comfortable.

Oh My! well, then she should fit at 100 pounds and 5 feet 4! And if she wants to switch off with her 5 foot 10 1/2 foot sister, I will use your post as proof it can work despite her protests:lmao:

We just took our daughters ages 6 and 4 to WDW for their first trip. Stayed in 1 Bdrm lake view at BLT. Wanted MK view but all were booked. I requested high floor even room and north tower. We got all of our requests!! The CM at check in even said "we were able to get all of your requests!" Room 8410, 14th floor nearer the center tower on outward side of curve. From the balcony, we had a view of space mountain and the castle! We watched Wishes from the balcony on the nights that we got back early enough. The room was in great condition. Only issue which was very minor was cold water dripping from master rain shower head. Didn't care about it enough to call about it. Having kitchen with our perfectly delivered Garden Grocer groceries was great. Girls slept beautifully on pull outs and we loved having a real bedroom. I am sensitive to noise and heard absolutely nothing the whole trip. Loved walking to MK. Loved washer and dryer. Two full baths worked perfectly. Stroller delivery from Orlando Stroller rental and especially Kingdom Strollers (love you Matt!) went perfectly. Overall just a great stay!!

We stayed at the Poly on our last trip to the world and my kids LOVED the Electric Water Pagent. I was wondering if this comes by the Contemporary. We will be in the Garden Wing, and I'm not worried about seeing it from our room, but I was more wondering if there was a good place to go see it from.

It floats by around 10:05pm at the Contemporary. A good place would be the Marina area unless you have a Bay Lake view then you might be able to view it from your room

You can definitely see the EWP from any Bay Lake View Tower room and from the Garden Wing rooms that front Bay Lake and from the beach. You can also watch from the 4th floor windows that look out onto Bay Lake.

WDWKOOK! I will posted!
:goodvibes

Thanks so much for posting your BLT one bedroom review, twodogs! Isn't it great when all your requests are met?! Sounds like you'd return to BLT? Did you book a BB or are your DVC?

On our first trip to CR we decided to save $ by going for a Bay Lake view. We loved it! In fact if they offer us a free MK view upgrade next time we would have to really think about accepting it. The Bay Lake view has a wonderful "zen-like" feeling. You hear the boats slowing moving and tooting their horns......it's very relaxing.

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm excited!!

Hello, I have spent the last few days reading over all the great information you guys have provided on this thread (thanks!). I finally signed up as a user today to start asking more questions and get all the helpful information I can for our first family vacation!!!

We are planning our trip for Nov 2013 and are very interested in staying at the CR. Our children at the time of travel will be 4 and 3. Here are some question I have from the start:

1-What is the best way to book our trip (we are in the US) should we just go through Disney?

2-How can we save? Discounts? Open a Disney CC? American AA card?

3-Any tips for those who have traveled with young kids, please give me any advice you have.

4-Walk or take the monorail? I have heard walking really is not that bad.

5-Stroller for the kids or do parents find they just want to walk and end up dragging the stroller around? Where to rent a stroller?

6-Chef Mickey dinner? Are there set times for this? We are a early dinner type of family (example 5pm) how do we book a dinner to meet Mickey?

7-MK view room or Bay Lake view? If you have the Bay Lake view do you get to see the sun set? If you have a MK view what time does the firework show start?

8-Splash pads or zero entry pools at CR? Although our kids have been in swimming lessons neither know how to swim.

9-Flight cost, this seems to be so costly. We will be coming from Dallas Texas and all the prices we have checked seem so high (1300 for four RT)

Sorry for all the questions. I am just really excited about planning our first trip and I want it to be really special. I am not sure when we will be able to go again. Thanks so much!

We will absolutely stay there again. Perfect set up and location for the parks our kids are into right now. We just booked the room through the WDW website. We are not DVC members but can see why people might want to be after this trip!! They were great t BLT!! I will try to post room view pics later though may have already been posted by someone else.
