Hey everyone. Today is our 5 month anniversay!!!
And I'm finally getting round to those vendor reviews I promised months ago! Sorry it's taken me so long
Ok, first up.................
Meri L Hurst - Planner : 10/10
I really liked Meri and found her really good at responding to my emails. She was planning her own wedding at the time but this didn't cause any problems. She was super nice when we spoke on the phone and lovely in person too. Everything went to plan on the day so full marks to Meri
Elizabeth Sutton : Floral Planner : 10/10
Elizabeth was lovely when we spoke on the phone and understood exactly what we wanted for the day. To be honest we didn't spend a huge amount on floral (I think the WP is really beautiful as is) but what we did have was really lovely. I sent swatches of fabric which was matched to our cakes, my bouquet etc. Our blue chair back ties were the only thing that didn't match exactly but I can't say it bothered me as they still looked lovely. She was super quick at responding to emails too!
Jason Angelini - Photographer : 9/10
I reeeeaaaalllly wanted to give Jason a 10 out of 10 but something held me back slightly. Don't get me wrong, Jason is a fab guy, great photographer and I would recommend him in a heart beat...there was just a few shots I feel we missed out on. Perhaps that was partly our fault and should have spoke up but to be honest the day just whizzed by and it was only after that I realized we had missed them. It was just little things like a shot of me on the staircase in the GF, a pic with our officiant etc, on the beach with WP in the background. Also we have very few pics of the DP (infact there isn't one of me or Phil there). As I said, I still recommend Jason and wouldn't want this review to put people off as he really is great, it's just me being truly honest.
Trinity Wedding Video : Videographer : 10/10
If I could give 20 out of 10 I would. Seriously. These guys were wonderful. David and Kristina are a married couple and are really friendly and great to work with. Some times we didn't even notice them (in a good way!). They were so unintrusive (is that a word?! lol) and we got our sneak peek the very next day, which blew us away. We should be getting our final full length video this next week and we can't wait to see it! Worth every single penny. Book them today!!
Tropical Trio: Music : 10/10
Created such a wonderful atmosphere for our reception. They don't sing but that doesn't matter, the music alone is just lovely and perfectly suited our party. Highly recommend!
Mickey & Minnie : 1000/10!!
Seriously. Worth every single penny. We kept them a secret and the reaction they got from our guests was fabulous. The four children at the wedding were over the moon (Phil's niece ADORES Minnie Mouse!). We weren't sure if anyone would dance being as there was only 19 of us but Mickey & Minnie soon sorted that out. They literally got everyone on their feet dancing. You get them for 30 mins but it felt like they were with us for much longer and they spent time with everyone for photos. So much fun!!!!!!!
Major Domo: 10/10
We didn't actually use Major Domo in our ceremony as we had a best man and a ring bearer and didn't want them to feel redundant. Instead we had him as MC at our reception. He was one of the things my mom said she was so glad we had as he made everything flow really easy and no one had to worry about annoucing things like dinner being served etc. Great fun.
Ted - Caricaturist - 9/10
The ONLY reason I'm not giving Ted 10 out of 10 is simply because everyone didn't manage to get the picture drawn and these were going to be our favours (my parents didn't get one in time and were sooooo disappointed). Everyone who got one though loved them and he was a really nice guy, just restricted on time. Very talented guy
Landau Coach - 10/10
I felt like Kate Middleton in the coach! LOL! We had to have the roof up on the coach (which I was a tad sad about as it looks so pretty with it down). It was a really sunny day and it was noon so I think it would have been really hot with it down, plus it was quite breezy, so I can see why it needed to be up. I still felt like a Princess regardless
Pastor Kirk Bane - 9/10
My friend (a past Dis Bride) recommended Pastor Kirk as he had to step in for her wedding when her officiant fell ill the day before
He's a lovely guy, infact we are friends on Facebook now! The only reason I'm not giving full marks is he was sometimes a little hard to get hold of and disappeared super quick after the ceremony! Still recommend him as he is super nice.
Fireworks Cruise: 10/10
Just amazing. The perfect end to our day. Our guests still talk about it now.
Staff at the GF: 10/10
Super nice and helpful, nothing was too much for them.
Food and Drink :10/10
Delicious!!!!!!!! Loved the cheese pototo gratin, so yummy! Everything was fabulous, there was just sooooooo much of it.
Cake : 10/10
Exactly what we asked for, so couldn't have asked for more.
Wedding Pavilion : 10/10
Beautiful and just perfect. The construction boards I fretted about so much in the run up to the wedding?.........I didn't even notice them on the day!
Whitehall Room & Patio :10/10
Picturesque, peaceful...perfect
The patio was ideal for our reception and it was lovely seeing the castle
Sago Cay: DP :10/10
Again, just lovely. Loved the fact that we could see the castle from all of our locations
So there you have it! Finally! As you can see I was pretty much thrilled with everything from our wedding day. I seriously believe we couldn't have asked for more. My life long dream as a little girl literally came true that day, the sun beamed down, everyone had a fabulous time, we were all so happy and I married my best friend in the whole world surrounded by the people I love the most....it doesn't really get better than that does it?
If anyone has any other questions please just let me know. Will hopefully get round to more of the whole trip. Thanks for reading,
Nat xxxx
