When in doubt, feed the bear....but not that!!!Day 6- Last day blues

I love the footprint and the peg on the walkway at Pirate's! One of my favorite little details.

I have trouble with my AP all the time too! On my New Year's trip, it would work, then not, the work, then not. SO frustrating.

No more collecting the Fastpasses for a big DIS ride. It's every DISer for himself on FP collection, we ride when it's a walk-on, or we just meet and eat somewhere instead of ride.

Or meet for a show? I like meeting to eat. :cutie:

Nice picture of the Magic Kingdom Christmas tree! :santa:

It was a beautiful day.

A JC DIS meet sounds like a lot of fun and yeah for getting a bonus FP! :cool1: I hope your AP is working and you don't have to take a trip to guest services.

JC cruise was a great idea. Thanks to Memom for suggesting it. :worship:

My last AP started that but only after a few :rolleyes1 trips. I have learned to look when the CM "helps " me get a FP. If it is only the machine then I can usually get another one.;) I figure it is the least Disney can do. :rolleyes1

You are pretty observant to spot the plain clothes dude! I am pretty clueless when it comes to that sort of thing.
I usually am too. My friend B has eagel eyes. She once recognized some reps at a Trade show we both attended as being on our plane to the show a couple of days prior. I don't know how she does that.

I love your picture of the wenches in PoC. I still can't get any pictures to turn out in there, but I am going to try again in June.

I can usually get the wenches. I think because we are moving straight towards them. I have so much trouble with anything on the side of the boat. I think because the boat is moving and the animatronics are moving too.

So many little details everywhere. I can always find something new. I can't wait until Fantasyland is done. Lots of new things there.

I have trouble with my AP all the time too! On my New Year's trip, it would work, then not, the work, then not. SO frustrating.

I was having lots of issues as you will see. I hope it was just the crowd levels and the overuse of the machines.

Dole Whip meets are always good especially if we can get the area with all the tables near Aloha Isle!:goodvibes Lunching Pad is another good place too! Frozen Coke and a cream cheese pretzel!Yummy! Or how about popcorn and a parade? Food and friends at Disney always a great combo!

I will miss the old FP ways...but I'll have to get used to it. :guilty:

Me too! :sad2:

Always. There are so many places at MK, the rose garden, TSI, Adventureland, etc.
EPCOT has many nooks and crannies too. :thumbsup2

I walk over to BTMRR and use my AP.

IMG_2724.jpg

Score I get a FP. I had to wait a few minutes to get another one with the Card the CM gave me.

IMG_2725.jpg

Karma I tell you. I get up to the machine at the right time and nothing. Now the card doesn’t work.

Yeesh. I tell the CM and he gives me a new card. So now I have 2 for JC and 2 for BMTRR

I walk back out. I stop long enough to take in a little Johnny Depp.

IMG_2726.jpg

I hear from Chris. He went to DHS and rode ST.

I think this would make him happy.

He is not. :headache:

He has some issue with timeline and plot points. It is all blah, blah, blah to me.
As near as I can tell he is having trouble suspending reality for the ride. A ride that nothing to do with reality. :confused3
Oh well.
So his plans for the trip are now disturbed. He is getting huffy and I am trying to not let it get to me. There is plenty to do and it is not my job to find him entertainment.

He won’t even ride a second time to get a different scene. His loss.

I tell him I am heading back to use my FP for TSM but if there is nothing there for him he can do what he wants.
He is heading to EPCOT. I tell him I will call him when I am done at DHS and then I will head to EPCOT too.

I wanted to catch the last day of the storytellers. < Remember that>

MK decorations in the Emporium.

IMG_2728.jpg

I hop aboard monorail coral

IMG_2729.jpg

Make my way back to the busses at the TTC.

IMG_2730.jpg

What pulls in? A Lake Mary bus. Not a Disney Bus. Huh?
He is going to DHS so we all hop on.

The back of the seat. It was a nice charter bus. We had regular radio music too.

IMG_2731.jpg

Back at DHS in 35 min from monorail to getting off the bus.

IMG_2732.jpg

Apparently we are not the only one who takes pictures with BO.

IMG_2733.jpg

The TSM standby time has swelled.

IMG_2734.jpg

I am almost in my seat 5 min later.

IMG_2735.jpg

I am all warmed up baby.
A new personal best.
I really rocked the first screen this time. I think I hit some good ones on the alien ring toss too.

IMG_2736.jpg

IMG_2737.jpg

Can you see the shout out?

IMG_2738.jpg

Tin Toy was one of the shorts and Lasseter was the director of Toy story and the short.

11:37am

IMG_2740.jpg

With DHS being so crowded I headed over to EPCOT.

IMG_2742.jpg

IMG_2741.jpg

A boat is coming in.

IMG_2743.jpg

I actually have to wait a bit to board and I am entertained by this duck. He would dive down, fully submerge and get some grass.

IMG_2744.jpg

IMG_2745.jpg

We finally shove off and I get off at the Swolfin and walk by the Boardwalk this time.

As I pass the Pizza window I verify that I can use a CS credit there.

I heard you could but I want to be sure.
I wish I had checked some other things just as carefully.<cue the foreshadowing music>

IMG_2747.jpg

I could not help but mutter mine, mine, mine as I pass the wedding pavillion.

IMG_2748.jpg

I entered through the IG and noticed some preparations for NYE.

I'm back Pat and mostly caught up (with wrestling the last couple of weekens and Mark and I out celebrating), I've gotten behind everywhere again. I couldn't open two of your links, but I did catch the last one with the MINE MINE MINE MINE'S. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I love all the detailed pictures you take.

I'll try to stay on top of updates now.

You have been a busy bee lately. All for a great reason. :cool1:
I did recheck the links and they all work now. :flower3:

I kept my eye on those birds as I muttered MINE MINE. :lmao:

Pat -

I am exhausted already with the traveling around you have done this morning. Phew! I don't think I could ever keep up with you.

Great pictures!!!!! Love the duck with the grass. :goodvibes

I also love the picture of the street performer in HS.

Great score on TSM. Score for FP! 130 minute wait is insanity.

I am not sure why you are cueing the foreshadowing music, but I'm starting to get nervous!

So now I had 2. I had time to kill. I wanted to get some extra so we would have enough for a meet tonight. Sadly we will not be able to do this anymore.
Time to kill? You could have been shopping for some extra New Year's pins........ :rolleyes1

I think Disney will end up regretting the enforcement of the FP time window! So many of us use it to avoid the huge crowds and heat of the day, and return later in the evenings knowing we can still get some ride time in, which spreads out the crowds. I can see it leading to a lot of us not returning to the parks as much at night after we leave and head back to the room, and even taking that opportunity to go off-site for meals and entertainment.

I tend to spend a lot more on souveniers and snacks/food/drinks in the evening when I'm not dealing with the heat and hectic crowds that make me want to do the basics and get out of there, with no time to stop for the extras. :headache: Having a stack of FPs we can use later is usually a huge incentive to go back in the evenings, even if we aren't totally motivated otherwise.

Have you ever noticed every ride with the conveyer belt has unique “footprints”
Okay, yet another thing I have to look for on my next trip! Will it never end.......... :confused3
BTW, are you available for tour guiding??? :goodvibes

Some great pictures, and nice "scores" on the extra FPs!

(back later to give you grief so you don't complain about getting so much of it on my TR.......) ;)

All caught up! Sorry I've been missing. We've been dealing with some family issues with my in-laws lately.

Awesome score on TSM! And I had to laugh at Chris' inability to "suspend disbelief" on Star Tours. :rotfl2:

I'm shocked I tell you. Shocked. :scared1:

Shocked you haven't hit AK yet! Man.. you were on a mission. 3 parks already? :lmao::lmao:

Those crowds were bananas. And I don't mean this guy ---> More like this guy --->

I wonder what was going on with your AP? You made it through the turnstiles fine. :confused3

I can't wait to see what you do next. popcorn::

Pat -

I am exhausted already with the traveling around you have done this morning. Phew! I don't think I could ever keep up with you.

That day I really bounced around a lot.
Not having MK on the radar for FP for the JC meet was my goof. That caused the impromptu trip to MK whick was not as crowded as DHS. My desire to do a more attainable rope drop at DHS swayed me along with apparently everyone else. :lmao:
I think my original plan to to hit DHS and then EPCOT for storytellers. Then we arranged the JC meet so I had to flex out a bit.

Great pictures!!!!! Love the duck with the grass. :goodvibes

I could not believe that duck swam DOWN 5 or 6 feet to get that grass.

I also love the picture of the street performer in HS.

Dorma Nesmond is a funny lady.

Great score on TSM. Score for FP! 130 minute wait is insanity.

I may have been whooping it up a bit during the ride. :lmao: I can't imagine more that 2 hours in line. The queue is nice but man 2 hours in line - no thanks.

I am not sure why you are cueing the foreshadowing music, but I'm starting to get nervous!
Be afraid, very afraid....

Time to kill? You could have been shopping for some extra New Year's pins........ :rolleyes1

:headache: I tell you I had the other one in my hand, and I put it back. :sad2: Now If I had gotten that text earlier..... :rolleyes1

I agree. Taking something away, even if it is just enforcing the window will lead to back ups in hte FP entry if the poor CM has to listen to every excuse from everyone.
I read March 7th but that is a Wednesday in the middle of college spring break. :confused3
It will be interesting to see how they deal with htis during the heat of the summer.

Okay, yet another thing I have to look for on my next trip! Will it never end.......... :confused3

So much on the list. With Fantasyland opening soon there is a "whole new world" to explore. I would love to your tour guide Barbie. But I don't have to wear the outfit do I ?

Some great pictures, and nice "scores" on the extra FPs!

(back later to give you grief so you don't complain about getting so much of it on my TR.......) ;)

I was having some real trouble with FP machines this trip.

Grief - you mean you are giving me grief on your TR too!!!!

All caught up! Sorry I've been missing. We've been dealing with some family issues with my in-laws lately.

Hope it all gets resolved soon. Good to have to back.

Awesome score on TSM! And I had to laugh at Chris' inability to "suspend disbelief" on Star Tours. :rotfl2:

I was pretty pumped. I had a good game that time. I may h ave celebrated in the car a bit. :rolleyes1

I could not believe he was disappointed in ST. His expectations may have been a little high. :lmao: I think he got the same sequence I got that morning and it was not one of the better ones in my opinion so I encouraged him to ride again but he refused. He complained the sequences were from diffferent ST movies.

So I tried to explain the warp was a bit of time travel but he was not buying it. Yet he loved ST 1.0. Go figure.

But then again he doesn't ride ToT either. :lmao:

I'm shocked I tell you. Shocked. :scared1:

Shocked you haven't hit AK yet! Man.. you were on a mission. 3 parks already? :lmao::lmao:

I was saving AK for NYE. :lmao::lmao:

Those crowds were bananas. And I don't mean this guy ---> More like this guy --->
banana032.gif

I love the flat banana. :lmao: Apparently I did not pay attention to the crowd calendar for DHS but hey when everything is a 10, crowded is crowded.

I wonder what was going on with your AP? You made it through the turnstiles fine. :confused3

I can't wait to see what you do next. popcorn::

No real problems in the turnstiles, but once the CM had to scan the AP instead of the machine reading it, then a trip to guest services is in order.::yes::

I could not help but think about my own brother Chris when you were mentioning Chris' inability to suspend reality on ST. :lmao: My bro Chris is a HUGE Star Wars fan, but fortunately for me, he didn't really do anything to put a damper on our ride and he didn't seem to notice the "inconsistencies".

Great score on TSM! My favorite for sure. I always try to better myself when I ride it.

Chris loved the 1.0. Before it closed he spent lots of time riding it over and over. I am hoping he was just being a brat when he said he didn't like it. Sometimes he will set his expectation too high and expect something that isn't even posible. :cool1:

I wear my arm out every time I ride. :lmao: It seems like I always need a warm up round. Sometimes I get the timing right and well sometimes I don't. :upsidedow

So your son was mad about the movie in ST????? It wasn't "real" enough for him? :rotfl2: This totally cracks me up!
