After you get your card, email customer service, telling them about how some new customers are receiving a $200 enrollment bonus, and that you would like 100 Disney Reward dollars to be added to your account to bring you up to that $200 number. They will credit your account 100 Disney Reward dollars. They did it for me. If they don't, call them and keep calling until you get it.

I am interested too. And for those that have the card, do you feel it is really worth it? I have an Amex Blue Cash that I use for mostly everything which earns me a decent cash back reward. Not sure if there is a good reason to open another card.

I have the Amex Blue card as well as the Disney Visa. I use the Amex for most purchases and the Disney Visa for the purchases that Amex would only pay 1% cash back.

I never use my Disney Visa. I own it for the rare times it gives me a discount (Disney Stores) and perks when I go to Disney World/Disneyland. I use the Chase Freedom card for my everyday purchases.

I use Amazon because they give cash back... but I have Disney and plan to upgrade it to the premiere this year to get the 5% for the first three months and 2% after that in order to help pay for our trip in October and our cruise in 18 months. Then it's back to Amazon and cash back!!

hmmm I've been hearing abou this Chase Freedom, looks like it is better than the DisneyVisa, it gives you the 1% Plus you get the bonus of possibly getting 5% back too? Am I reading that right? Much better than the every once inawhile mailings DisneyVisa sends out to earn %3 more

Disney’s Premier Visa Cardmembers earn 2% in Disney Dream Reward Dollars on card purchases at restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations and at most Disney locations at Walt Disney World Resort, the Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line and Disney Store. Cardmembers earn 1% on all other purchases made with the card.

So you have to crunch the numbers ... You are paying $49 per year for an additional 1% of Reward Dollars in some categories. $49 is 1% of $4900. Will you spend more than $4900 per year at restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, and at Disney? If so, the you are essentially paying $49 of real money for a Disney Gift Card in the amount of 1% times that amount you will spend.

However, balance that what you would be earning with your current card. For instance, Chase Freedom has 5% back on gas for 6 months of 2012, 5% back at grocery stores for 3 months, etc.. Also, Chase Freedom gives you those rewards in cash back, not a restrictive gift card. As of now, I'll stick with the Chase Freedom.

You have to have a minimum of $20 in rewards and there is an option to request a check instead of getting gift cards. Really easy and takes less than 2 weeks to get the check.

ok I think I'm gonna sign up for this one, another $100 toward my disney vaca I need all I can get now that my family of 5 have to move to a moderate I can't believe how much more this vaca is costing compared to my others but will be well worth it

I was thinking about upgrading to the premier, but after number crunching it doesn't make sense.

oh no POOH I just this second got thru completely my online registration for the $100!! POOH POOH! Maybe I'll have luck like I did with the DisneyVisa, I had got $100 but saw others getting $200 so I asked them for it and they said yes

What categories would earn a higher % using Disney vs Amex? Just curious.

Also, I need to check out the Amazon card if it is a straight 2% on everything it may be better than Amex.
