Everyday I will post where we are having dinner, and we will dedicate one meal to the Disboards!!!!!! So pick ur plate that u want reviewed and I will do it for u!

Tonight...... Les chefs de France!

What would you like to have reviewed?

My apologies if you've already mentioned it, but are you on the dining plan? I remember last August Chefs de France had a special section of the menu for people on the regular dining plan, allowing us to order an appetizer/entree/dessert. I was excited, as this was a way to get french onion soup included in my meal. Could you let me know if this is still available? I'd love to know what entrees are included too. Thanks so much and have a great meal!! :goodvibes

What a fun idea! I loved their adult mac & cheese (it had a deliciously unexpected nutmeg flavor) & my DMom loved their beef tenderloin & mashed potatoes. Their French onion soup & cheese plate were also spectacular! I wasn't crazy about their profiteroles, but she liked the chocolate mousse cake. Have a great meal!

anything seafood would be great?

You must be having a blast! We can't wait...less than 4 weeks!

Hi All!

I didn't get any review requests before my reservation, so I just sort of ordered what I wanted to! ;)

Tonight...... 50's Prime Time!!! Get your requests in early and I will check my IPhone from the table!!!!

A couple of things to note: All 3 kids got the kids fish with mashed potato, and my DS ate 2 portions! Evidently they loved it ;)
The boy has never been a fish fan, so it must've been pretty good. The chicken was really outstanding, I would order it again for sure. We had the chocolate mousse for desert which is not on the video because I just about shoved my entire face in it after the first bite. It was chocolate heaven, and I am totally not exaggerating.

For lunch we ate at Puck Express and I had the salmon. The CM at the register said that it came with potato. It did, underneath a huge bed of greens. I was skeptical to say the least, however like everything else I've ever had there, it was divine! The dressing, or sauce, or whatever was on those greens was the perfect compliment in the perfect amount. DIVINE! DH had the bacon wrapped meatloaf and he is ready to go back just for that! I'm trying to talk him into Floatworks for lunch, just to try something different.

Please feel free to send suggestions for CS meals as well, as we are pretty much open to where we eat lunch!

SEE YOU REAL SOON!!!

I'd love to see a review of the duck please :)

Oh I'm sorry! I didn't get this before my ressie!

Yes we are on the DDP. I ordered from the Prix Fixe menu getting soup, entree, dessert. I did not see any excluded entrees, and my DH ordered the tenderloin. It would be my ASSUMPTION that you could order whatever entree?

We did have a great meal, thanks! Normally I would get the French Onion, but it is really warm here right now and it just seemed heavy. I actually haven't had red meat at all since we arrived, and I'm a carnivore at heart!

Well if anything seafood includes the kids flounder, they loved it! ;)

My husband got the steak there the last time we had dinner and it was really good. Hope you try it!

Yes the tenderloin is my DH's first night tradition, they always cook it perfectly rare.

I'm going to assume you are getting an app, entree and dessert. So to start maybe the blue claw crab cake, then the fried chicken and the boston cream parfait. Have fun and look forward to the reviews.

Yep, just finished dessert at Prime Time!
Tomorrow...... The Grand Floridian Cafe

So it's time for yesterday's dining review!

First up, lunch at Floatworks. DH took some pics of all of our food this week, but we are really concentrating on the video, so I will get pics up as soon as we can.

For lunch we had Gumbo, Meatball Sub, Chicken Quesadilla, and Muffaletta.

The Gumbo: This was really just average. It didn't have a very "gumbo-y" taste to it and there was no plop of rice in the middle. For a soup it was very very good, but for Gumbo, not so much. There were big pieces of chicken and andouille along with the okra, and I love that!

Meatball Sub: The bread was nicely toasted and the sandwich was quite big. Not as big as the Cheesesteaks I saw going out, which were GINORMOUS, but more than enough for 1 person. The meatballs were very very large and you almost needed a knife and fork for this one.

Quesadilla: Average, run of the mill, chicken quesadilla. It did come with rice and beans though, and that was a nice twist! Sour cream and salsa as well. Inside the tortilla was just chicken and cheese.

The Muffaletta: Oh...... my.......... Gosh!!!!!! I will be back just for this. The bread was thick and soft and warm, the cheese was oooooey gooey heaven, and the tapenade..... delicious! Very good sandwich, one of those that it really doesn't matter if you are full or not, you are going to finish it! I have been concentrating on putting down the food when I'm full, so up until this sandwich I haven't completely finished anything at a meal yet. The Muffaletta was the exception. Well, I did only have half seeing as DH and I split the Quesadilla and the Muffaletta. He's lucky he got any of it, frankly.

We stopped later in the day for a snack at The Brown Derby and we all split the Famous Cobb Salad and the Crab Spring Rolls. Thomas brought out a basket of bread with Hawaiian Sea Salt as well. When DH (a butter connoisseur) tasted the bread and butter, he literally GASPED and said WHOA really loudly. Evidently it was delicious. The Crab rolls were tasty and served a bit like sushi with pickled ginger on the side. The garnish was a Crab claw that was still filled with meat, so we liked that a lot. The Cobb was too mushy for me, but DH loved it! There was A LOT of parsley and I felt like that overwhelmed the other flavors. There was not a lot of big lettuce pieces so it didn't feel much like a salad. There were, however, HUGE chunks of avocado, so I picked all of those out and ate them before handing my half over to DH. :thumbsup2

And now, 50's Prime Time!!! Our server was fantastic! Megan did a great job playing the part!

I thought I would lose it at the end when she said "It's just a small bean after all"!!

Finally, we stopped in to the ever famous Earl of Sandwich just to split a couple of subs between the 5 of us and taste them. DH got the Full Montagu and really really liked it. I got The Original. I am a huge fan of Roast Beef, Cheddar, and Horseradish. But this sandwich was really really fatty. The bread was good, but I'll either switch sandwiches or stick with Puck Express next time.

Ok, so post your votes for dinner tonight at The Grand Floridian!!!!!!!
See you real soon!!!!!

Wow that fried chicken does look amaizing...i have not been to 50's pt yet, but i may have to put that on my list just for the chicken. the pot pie looked really good too...I happen to love dark meat.

Then you would love it!! The pastry seemed to have a cheese baked into the top crust, maybe Asiago? It was very good! Congrats on winning the pick for last night! We go on number of requests and there were 2 votes for Fried Chicken, but I couldn't find the other voters name before we shot the video :lmao:.

What's your vote for tonight?

Wow!!! What a tiny menu!!! Not alot to choose from! Okay, so I would choose the:

Shrimp and Prosciutto Penne Pasta - Served with Asiago cheese sauce and asparagus tips. - $18.99

and for the important part of the meal, either:

NY-style Lemon Cheesecake - Rich, New York Style - $3.29

Tiramisu - Lady Fingers and mascarpone - $3.29

or

Chocolate Fondue - Dark chocolate ganache, accompanied by diced fruit for dipping. - $6.99

Are you on the DP???
