The Wolfs Dance Christmas 2011 *NEW VIDEO* [from The Wolfs Dance Disney folks]

i just watched this.....it was seriously cool! AWESOME!!! you have a great family, thanks for sharing.

I was so inspired by your family videos. I LOVED the idea of singing a song in different parts of Disney. I also loved the dancing. I stole....um....borrowed these ideas for my own Disney video. This was filmed during our Halloween 2011 visit. The song is only 3 minutes and 24 seconds so it was really hard to cut the footage down to that time limit. You just have to let go of great footage to make it fit. All I used was a Flip camera and imovie05.... yes version 05. I also have imovie 09 but I think it is easier to edit clips in '05. It goes to show that you can just work with the equipment you have and still come up with a good video. I hope to graduate to Final Cut Pro one day. I think I need to upgrade my imac first. I would love any feedback. thanks for watching it.

JStew50, that was great! We were there over Halloween, too, but I think you guys had even more fun than we did! I tried to video the Headless Horseman but missed him completely, but you captured him. And I love the person's face on EE looking at the broken tracks, and the part where someone is dancing with Rafiki, and lots more. Well done!

Teresa, thanks for taking the time to watch it. The person on EE making the face is ME. We ended up riding it 3 times in a row because there was no line. It was hard to muster up the courage for more than once but I didn't want to chicken out.

tinkerone, thanks for taking the time to watch it. It is appreciated. I takes so much time to put the video together that positive feedback really makes me feel great. :thumbsup2

I watched this when you posted it a couple of weeks ago, and could have sworn that I responded to it. Sorry. Great job! Your video really captures the fun. It shows how much you can do with a simple camera! Hope you post again!

Well, two years later, and we finally "did it again". We just finished our newest "Wolfs Dance Disney" video, this time with some real DisBoard help! Hope you enjoy it. You can find it here:

Nearly all of the motivation for our family's hobby/obsession has come from encouragement from the Strategies board. In that regard, I hope we can use this thread to help you strategize your own Disney videos. Please feel free to post any camcorder/video/editing questions you have here. There are several of us who would be happy to help you out. If the question list grows, I'll iron out an FAQ and repost it toward the top later on.

Incredible work!!! Beautifully shot, very creative, and well produced.

My family loves both of your videos and we watch them all the time. If I'm having a tough day, they cheer me up instantly! Thank you so much for sharing them!

Your Disney videos have always brought me to tears. Seeing your Christmas one and your sons at the end declaring their faith brought to me tears on a totally different level. I agree with PP who said "you seriously are the coolest family ever."

Thank you for sharing.

I was watching the second video with my five-year-old grandson today, and we got to the part where one son says "We're going to pour Beverly on Dad's head." There's a puff of smoke, Dad's head disappears - and my grandson says to me "That's how they make the Headless Horseman for the Halloween parade."

I guess now the secret is out.

I laughed so hard!
