The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Drew would go with me -
10% to spend time with his Mom and 90% for the free eats. :upsidedow

I have already started talking about the NYE trip with him.

First he was disappointed we were NOT on the DP. :lmao:
Then I asked where he would want to eat and he said
Whispering Canyon cafe. :rotfl: Apparently he needs to "right" his wrong with the large drink.
:lmao:

I told him I can do without the detour at Ft Wilderness but instead we could look at the Christmas decorations. He was actually OK with that. :woohoo:

:yay:Yay, so glad your wait list came through for part of your NYE trip. :wizard:Sending you some pixie dust that the rest will come through!

Port Orleans looks so nice. Jeremy and I may have to venture over there for some beignets. I always say I am going to do but never make it. The pool looks like lots of fun.

Wow, you got soaked on Kali!

POR looks so pretty. I meant to get over there and explore it when I was at POFQ but never did squeeze it in.

So far I have SSR booked the first half and AKl booked the last half. I did put in for a BWV standard view waitlist since it is less points than SSR. :ssst:
I won't be heartbroken if that doesn't come through but it doesn't hurt to try. :confused3

It is nice to venture over but I hear you on making the time to do it.
Sometimes it is worth it to hop over on the way to or from DTD.

Wow, you got soaked on Kali!

I had the waterproof camera and of course the classic rear facing going down the waterfall. :lmao: You see how wet the boy got! Everyone else on the boat laughed at me and then asked if my camera was waterproof. :lmao:

Exploring is good for a cool day right before or after DTD.

Your last updates had me rolling :rotfl2: - especially the lady in time out! What the....... was that all about? :confused3

Then the wet Kali pictures. :rotfl: Nah - not wet at all.

Cool Kali queue pics. I need to get some pics back there.

The alligator (or was that a croc?) close up. (shudder)

Then the fact that you got a picture after each section of TSM. I give you props for coordination. :thumbsup2 My usual score is yours half way through, but now I will google or youtube TSM cheats before I go again. Thanks for the tip!

Now - here's the funny thing. I just realized I arrived at POFQ last year on Sept 11th. Too funny!

Just a little peek inside my head. :rolleyes1 I saw her and my first thought was she was in time out.:lmao:

The Wave... came .... right.... over ....our .... heads...:lmao:

The last time I was back there we must have walked fast and in the FP line- I never saw the queue. :confused3 After people were posting how amazing it was I was wondering what I missed.

Did you see the bit of that guys shirt in his tooth?

Having the camera ready and spinning I was surprised I could even see the score. :rotfl: One of the Youtube videos was saying about how high you should be able to get your score in each section so I guess that was what I trying to do.

That is too funny- We left that day and as you will see had quite the send off.

Our dinner tonight was at the GF. 1900 Park Fare to be exact. I was going to surprise Chris but considering how other things have not quite worked out, I thought I better warn him.

I explained to him that this can go two ways, he could play along and have some fun or be a pill and ruin dinner. He did not agree to have fun but he did agree NOT to be a pill.

With the monorail situation we figured it would be better to take the bus to MK and then the boat.

Again we are early for dinner, so we look around.

We had our picture taken up front but did not buy it. $31.90 for the picture… Um No thanks.

Since we were seated right at the beginning of dinner we got to see the introductions of Cinderella and Prince Charming.

Suddenly Lady Tremaine goes by

P9105181.jpg

And I think they are asking the little girls to dance.

My son takes this opportunity to ask Lady Tremaine to dance. :lmao:

Overall dinner was Ok. I was a little concerned that since I was losing my voice and beginning to cough a bit, I should stay away from the foods I am allergic to. I had a tough time trying to figure out some ingredients but overall what I did eat was good.

As for the Steps. Well, they were …. Nice. A bit too nice. Lady Tremaine was great . Anastasia did yell across the dining room once when a little girl at a nearby table had figurines of them. Other than that they were pretty well behaved. We waited to see if they would act up, but nothing.
We were done around 6. Chris was going to head to DTD and I was going to monorail crawl a bit.

Next up the rest of the night.

First some pictures of GF floor.

Who know when these will come in handy? ;)

Here is where I rode Dumbo and got nothing but dirt and sky. I will spare you.:lmao:

Great photos at 1900. We've never gone (my good friend Nicki did NOT like the food at all, so we've avoided it). I love the pics of Chris dancing with Lady Tremaine.

That area for the Skyway is now all gone...it will be strange not to see it there.

I don't know what Chris says about his experience at 1900 Park Fare, but if he says that he didn't have fun, I don't believe him. The smiles say otherwise! I can't believe he danced with Lady Tremaine! Now that's quite the trooper!

I orginally booked with the intent of embarrassing Chris. :lmao: I am glad he decided to have some fun with and I had fun watching it.

I am surprised Chris found food he liked, he can be picky but I think he got the roast beef and was good with that.

I probably will not book it again. It was good for the experience but not totally worth it for the food.

I will be sad to see the changes but happy at the same time.

Oh I think he had fun. He got up and asked her with absolutley NO prodding from me. It was hilarious. My pictures are blurry because I was laughing so hard while trying to take them.

I wish the Steps were a bit more obnoxious but Lady Tremaine was great.

Funny dinner! I would have thought that Chris would get serious marriage proposals from the Stepsisters - I thought they woudl be going after all the men.... :confused3

I love the flower arrangements at the Grand. I was talking with a CM once who told me they get fresh ones every single day! That's a LOT of money spent on flowers. Imagine what one arrangement costs. Seems like one should be good for several days without showing any wear or wilting, but I was told they were changed daily. That seems wasteful to my frugal self, but I admit, they are gorgeous!

I love that Chris asked Lady Tremaine to dance!

MeMom, I agree with you on the flowers, changing them out daily is wasteful :sad2: I wonder what they do with them when they are done with them - just throw them out? :confused3

He went with me to get an all expense paid trip to Disney world!!!:lmao:

My mother ( who can be a slow walker at times) used to complain that my dad would race ahead and always be way in front of her.

I am not a slow walker but his legs are longer than mine and he just races ahead, always has. As soon as he could walk he ran.

What is funny is when he has no clue as to where he is going. We have taught him that lesson a few times.

I had no idea about the shirt but it makes sense. I guess since the boat goes to DTD it matters.

The POR pool was nice. The last time I was over there I was lost and rushing for beneigts and overshot POFQ. :lmao:

I am :lmao: as much at this, as the actual update!!! Which was a great one :goodvibes

Of course my internet would be poopy today- I can't see any of your photos from the last couple of updates, but I can picture Chris dancing with the Lady. And HE asked HER to dance- epic!! I love that he turned the evening into a fun one!

I see comments on teh arrangements being changed out daily, and am mystified as to why they'd do that!! Arrangements like that stay fresh for days! I wonder if "changed out" means they stick a few fresh ones in to replace the older ones?? I dunno seems awfully wasteful to me!! :confused3

We really tried to play up to the Steps but they just were not playing along too much. WE offered a token for marriage and Drizella made a polite comment but then moved on. :confused3 We had fun but the steps this time were being " well behaved" :lmao:

Oh I agree. I would hope those flowers go to a hospital or retiremnt home or someplace where they can be enjoyed for a while longer.

I also hope they grow the flowers somewhere on property so they are using what they grow.
