Mrs. AJRitz just called me on the way home from the ENT doctor with The Bug. Apparently, the problem is that my daughter (like my wife) is cold-blooded*. The docs over the weekend assumed she didn't have an infection, since she wasn't running a fever. Today, the ENT did an actual nasal swab and there were so many white blood cells that they couldn't even ID the specific infection. They've started her on Augmentin. Hopefully, that'll get the cough under control quickly and she'll start feeling better soon.



*This isn't meant as an insult. My wife's basal temperature is about 96.5, instead of 98.6. When a thermometer reads "normal" for her, it means that she's running the equivalent of a 100.7 fever. If the thermometer says she has a fever of 101, for her it's really more like a 103.1! It's beginning to appear that The Bug has the same issue. It's loads of fun every time you have to deal with a new school nurse, a new doctor, etc. They have to be educated that, if she's not feeling well and her temp is "normal," that means she's sick and we need to be called to come and get her.

Glad to hear it was just minor injuries.

That's enough to scare a child off of a bike for quite some time. Madison is very lucky and brave.

After Barry and AJ's news, we could use an amusing story...

So today, FB locked my account due to concerns of someone hacking into it (so if I sent you a phishing scam, I'm sorry!)

Anyway, I had to go through the security checks for FB and for my email, but since I'm at work (and it blocks FB), I had to have my wife's help in going through the photo identification part. Should have heard her trying to describe the photos for me over the phone.

"This one is a heavy-set guy at Disneyworld"..."Here's another heavy-set guy at Disney with his family"..."This one has a goatee, does that help?"... :lmao:

Despite the hardships, I managed to convince FB that I was me! :cool1:

:lmao: heavy guy at disney world??? that kinda narrowed it down.:lmao: after my love affair with three packs of marlboro light 100s a day back in 2003, i put on a few, ok, 35 pounds. its been holding off the "you should start excersing and eating better, not so much sugar in your diet" talk from my doctor. for now. i know im running out of time with that excuse.:lmao: i have to come up with something else. help me out!! im sure you here other doctors in the break room."guess what old smith said why he cant excersice.:lmao:i need an angle!!:thumbsup2 the bad part is tammy and my doctor talk to each other. :eek:

Dole Whips may be exchanged for Bacon or Princess Pictures but I don't know what the exchange rate is.
