There must be something in the water here in Wisconsin.....

I must be the dumbest DisDad...I am going to need help here. I dont understand the meaning of the pictures and it is killing me!!! Am i just thinking too hard about it???

I' going to bed .... to sleep. Get yer mind out of the ... Oh, wait, most of you are married as well. When did I get too old to stay up past 9:00PM?

OK, first of all, I have to say sorry there TL. I couldn't figure out your riddle until just now. I'm with Barry as I don't quite know the second pic, but I finally figured out the name on the first and it came together.

Congrats!

Also glad to hear that everyone seemed to survive the storms safely, I hope that no one had too much damage / disruption. I'll be curious how many of my NYC contacts will be in the office tomorrow as on Friday they were all planning on not being able to come in tomorrow.

I still can't figure out the 2nd picture, but I pieced it together from the other clues. Congratulations!

That water sure is some goooood drinkin', isn't it?

I'll help out. According to his comment on his wife's FB page, the second pic is a "Halfling thief", so a halfling, which kinda sounds like "having"...

Sidenote: Just got off the phone with my recruiter. I have my phone interview tomorrow. Apparently they're interviewing 6 people or so tomorrow, and the only person the company wanted to talk to my recruiter about was me. :woohoo: Now, I just have to work on my answers for the questions I think they're going ask me...

Quite distressing news here out of Magic Kingdom......Angelica is no longer appearing, they replaced her with Pirate Goofy. Not quite the same thing INMO:scared1:

Lancaster, PA hurricane report - I lost a Leyland Cypress tree in the back yard. About 4" rain where I'm at. New construction across the street from lost most of the tarpaper on the roof and most of the Tyvek too.

Otherwise no big problem. Hope everyone else is good

If that makes sense.

If so Congrat's TL.

From what I've heard, NYC wasn't hit too terribly. For the most part, I think they were ok. Upper NY and VT are a different story, however.

OOOOOOhhhhh... Now I get it. :headache:

Congratulations TL!

I just want to say good luck; we're all counting on you.

Monday? I've got three hours till it's Tuesday...

I like this version better! Maybe my boss will agree to be on Korea time today.

Congratulations on your Ruth-y.

Glad to see and hear reports from the Dads in Irene's path. Glad everyone is well and have not suffered too much damage.

On a happier note...if the Phineas and Ferb live show comes near you I recomend going to see it! We loved it!!! Beat the crap out of the Sesame Street stuff I had to suffe through not too many years ago :rotfl2:

Thanks for the reminder, I had forgotten about that show.

Shouldn't you be resting before your interview? I hope that the interview goes well, sounds like your in a really good place though. Come on 50% raise.

Well spending the weekend weathering the storm in an isolated lake house didn't end in a horror move like Tutter suggested. We did get to see a lot of trees blow down, and we had to help the owner chop up a big one that fell across the driveway. Nothing says vacation like paying money to someone else so that you can stand outside in a hurricane and chop up a fallen tree. We should have gone to Disney.

Actually, I'm still at work right now. I work 3-10pm. Then, I'll take a bus and get home close to 11 (although, I just remembered I want to go to the store to get some groceries, so maybe closer to 11:30), then I need to prepare for the interview (trying to think of what questions they'll ask me and come up with nice, long answers for them)...go to bed maybe around 2am and wake up around 10. Not sure what time my interview's at yet, still waiting to hear from my recruiter.

Backhoes are fun!
Yes. Yes they are.

I didn't get around to mowing yesterday. That stump was about 4' diameter and more stubborn than i thought it would be. I ended up tearing up an area of the yard bigger than the garage.:rolleyes1 It was fun though.:thumbsup2

The bad news was that I had to head to the medicine cabinet and pull out the orange bottles from my visit the the dr. a few months ago when I threw out my back. Apparently rolling heavy chunks of wood into the bucket when I was cleaning up wasn't a good idea.:headache:

Yeah... what these guys said. And congratulations TL!!!

I understand that second picture now that we've had that explanation, but I'm still trying to figure out what the otter has to do with anything.:confused3

When the word chop is used in reference to cutting wood it tends to make me think someone is using an ax. Please tell me there was a chainsaw in use.

They were both there last week, my ds and I had a picture taken with her.

You have been added to the DIS Dad's Club list :thumbsup2

Glad to hear the East coast dads checking in after the hurricane! Keep praying for those in flooded area and those without power. I'm certainly glad she wasn't a stronger hurricane like they initially forecasted... that would really have sucked! Or should I say blow? :lmao:
