Chapter 4 ~ "I can't hear you, my eyes are closed."​

After dinner Ana and I went off to Liberty Square and hopped in line for the Haunted Mansion. The wait only said 20 minutes, not too bad for 7 o'clock at night in MK! Since I had been there, they had remodeled the queue line and it is so amazing! The scenic and direct route. It probably takes the same amount of time, but the scenic has cute interactive stuff! Right before we got to make our choice for which, the CM directing traffic TOTALLY looked like Taylor Swift, in my opinion. Agree?

So the queue is so well done. They have the busts, an organ, instruments, you get to play with the book case- it's just really cute. We had fun modeling the busts and playing the organ. There was also a grave to a ship captain that squirted water. Despite the puddle around it, people were still surprised when they got shot with some water. Oh, people

So inquisitive.

Ana decided she really wanted to go on Pirates, so we went in that direction. The wait was nonexistent. We walked right on. I love when that happens! The ride never fails to make me smile. I love how the Jack Sparrow looks exactly like Johnny Depp. It's nice they incorporated the movie with the classic ride!

So, I'm convinced everything in that gift shop is meant for play. Why am I in Disney to buy a plastic sword? So, of course we tried out lots of the pirate garb. <-- I just wanted to use that smiley. It has to to with trying on clothes...sort of.

Pirate Princess for LIFE! Ignore my weird face. It's a bad angle.

"I can see Russia from my house!" Hahaha, sorry, for some reason that popped into my head as I looked at the picture. Oh, Sarah Palin. Sidenote on her, have any of you seen Jenna Marbles on youtube? Her stuff isn't exactly disboards appropriate, but you should really check her out. She's hysterical. She has a video of her being Sarah Palin hosting a cooking show. Okay, back to Disney!

Mickey Dreds. Um, YES! Much to my surprise, I actually saw quite a few people walking around with them on.

The Pirates League...aka, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for boys. Even though my friend Katie and I called them once to ask if there was an age limit on princess makeovers...they said no... I so WISH! I would have if it wasn't so dang expensive

Before heading out of Adventureland, we spotted a cart selling Glazed Almonds. So delicious. We each got some. They are seriously so good. They have them at our county fair each summer, but they just can't compete to Disney's. Ha, I look so awkward in this one. like "hehehe look at my almonds. THEY'RE MINE."

Next off- Tomorrowland! I really wanted to go on Space Mountain, since the last time I had been there it was being remodeled. Though four years ago, the last time I went on, we got STUCK on the ride. It was terrifying. I started crying...and some lady went ballistic. The CMs were not being very comforting nor telling us what was going on. But that was a while ago, and I do not hold a grudge. it's one of my favorites!

However, the wait was much much too long, and all the FP return time was for 11, and we wouldn't still be in the park. So we detoured to go get Buzz Lightyear FPs since the return time was in like, 30 minutes. Woohoo!

Ana told me she's going to start calling all the CMs by their names. I thought that was so precious! She was like, "they have their names on there for a reason." It was such a great idea. We both started doing it, but she was much better at remembering to do it.

While we waited we headed to The Laugh Floor! I adore it. Roz is so...Roz. I should have added her to my favorite character list. "We might not have enough power to open the exit doors..."

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but the skits were a little different from two years ago. Well duh, Allie, of course they changed it! It just never occurred to me that they would. It was still good though, so I approve! The one line from the show is the title name. Buddy Boyle or something? Wahh, I can't remember. But his joke is trying to guess the guys number, but he says it outloud. And he's like, "don't worry, my eyes are closed, I can't hear you." LOL.

We then walked down to use out Buzz FPs. The wait wasn't that long anyways, but we still got to pretty much walk right on. I love how in the line they make it sound so urgent. "Evil Emperor Zurg is against the Galatic Federation." Calm down now. We'll fix it.

Ana kicked my butt. She always manages to get the 100000 targets and I get like, 20000 total. What a fail! It's hard for me to aim with that laser thing, I always miss. TSM is much better, in my opinion, but Buzz has been around for my whole life, so I'm not going to hate on it! No way.

The MSEL Parade was about to start so we tried to rush out to the front of Main Street USA before it was total mayhem. My parents were waiting when we got up there so we head right out! It was only about 9, but we were BEAT! Getting up at 4am AND traveling is rough.

Before we boarded the monorail a CM stopped me. What, do I look like a threat to security or something? I stopped and gave him a confused look. But he told me he loved my shirt and high fived me for being a monorail lover Phew! He also gave me and Ana monorail stickers that resemble the aviation wings that flight attendants wear. They're both stuck to the back of my trip journal! Love.

So after the monorail came the tram...and we were the last parking lot it stopped at (Happy 84). Figures. I already had my rant about the annoyance of getting to the MK with a car, so I won't again.

We stopped at The Screen Door for some breakfast food for the next few days then finally headed up to our room. Such a long day! Ana and I popped in 27 Dresses and I wrote in my journal. We were dead tired and were asleep by 11. Early Disney night! Tomorrow is Animal Kingdom and back to the Magic Kingdom!

I totally agree about Buzz. Jess always whipped my butt but I beat her at TSM. I just like it better.

Nobody ever noticed my monorail shirt!! Lucky! Don't they know I'm a die-hard fan!?

WOW, she does look like Taylor Swift! I wonder if people ask her that a lot Im guessing she must get asked it a lot considering where she works and how many people a day she must encounter. If I looked like that I would want to work someplace where no one could tell me about it all day, Id get annoyed with it easily Maybe she likes it though, like maybe she takes people telling her that as a compliment. (Ok that is all IF anyone even says it to her, maybe people are too afraid to incase it's the real Taylor Swift).


I would hate to get stuck on Space Mountain! Did they turn the lights on when it happened? I feel like that would make is easier to handle.

I can't blame you for being tired at 9 after sucha long day! How did you even make it to 9

I totally agree about monorails replacing all forms of transportation. I mean, it is just that awesome. I'm sorry you missed the "Por Favor Mantenganse Alejados de las Puertas" part. That's the best part of that whole spiel, but there's always next time

You and your friend look great in your Mickey ears! I love that jumping picture. LOL @ both of your misconceptions of "on three". Hahahaha, but you still got a great photo. Great face pictures with your friend I love your "OMG" face, totally priceless, especially where Ana is totally ignoring the fact you aren't smiling hahaha to the Deuces!

The food at the Plaza restaurant looks really nice. That steak dish your dad got looks really good. I may have to try and figure out what that was. And those milkshakes sound very refreshing

The new queue looks awesome! I can't wait until I go next year to finally see it. It'll probably take me a lot longer to get through the queue than usual. I'll be taking pictures left and right hahahaha I LOVE the Haunted Mansion!

The Jack Sparrow animatronic on POTC is so life-like! If I didn't know any better, I would think Johnny Depp was standing right there. LOL @ you guys enjoying the pirate attire! Love the SNL Sarah Palin line, Tina Fey did such an awesome job portraying her. I may have to check out that Jenna Marbles video on YouTube.

I'm so glad someone thinks TSM is better than Buzz. I always beat everyone on that ride, not epically lose. Also, I can never find where the laser is pointing on Buzz and I just get a terrible score, but you both are definitely better than me. Ugh, yes they did! It totally ruined the effect. You could see all the tracks, it was just weird. And scary! Because those lap bars are so tight! No way out! I was freaaaaking out. The lights did help though. If we were sitting there in the dark...I may have died.

I do too! It's so cute, and not very scary And it did, but it was fun. And the other route was just a mob scene, in the scenic route we got to at least walk around and breathe....then rejoin the mob scene to get into the preshow room.

Huh, I'll remember that for the next time! Because I suck so badly at it...My mom is super good too. Like, really guys!? Ugh. But TSM is better I think... the theming is adorable and it's a lot easier to get points!!

I totally agree about modeling the different hats in disney gift shops. i always have to take pictures with every cute thing i see in the store. I usually only end up getting one or two items from a store if anything at all.
