Counting Our Nuts Like Chip & Dale, a Financially Aware PTR *Update 4/17 Pg 62 *

Hi I'm joining in! I have only read chapter 1 so far but I am subscribing and will be back later to catch up! :goodvibes
Congratulations on the weight loss! You both look amazing and I'm sure a lot of hard work went into achieving such success!
I can't wait to come back and read more.

I like the 30 Day Challenge idea. Can't wait to see what the rest of the questions are (I guess I could Google the challenge and find out, but where's the fun in that?).

I agree with you and Marc- Magic Kingdom is my favorite. Love the atmosphere and the nostalgia. Hollywood Studios is my runner up too. Love the rides (especially TOT), the shows and the old Hollywood feel.

Love the 30 day challenge! Fave park is a tough one. Probably MK followed very closely by epcot. Can't wait to see what else you have in mind for your ptr - I am sure we will be thoroughly entertained until January!

This is a tough one for me because it changes all the time...I know what my favorite ride is...but favorite park...right now I think EPCOT holds the title with DHS in close second! I just have found a new love for WS and of course I adore Soarin'

You know what, I never would have guessed that. It's such a pretty, old Hollywood style sign. I notice it every time I'm there.

I haven't played Apples to Apples, but my dad gave us two versions for Christmas. We need four players. As Squirt is too little to officially count, we haven't been able to play yet. LOL
Oh my goodness it is so much fun. I really love it. I hate that you need four players though because I never get to play it. :lmao:

Awww. I miss you most there too.
Although, now that I've gone with BF, I'll never ever be able to go into Mitsukoshi without thinking of him and his new obsession. But, don't want to spoil that part of the story. ;)

I think you DO have a better picture. It's a close-up. I'm almost positive I saw it on one of your TRs. I like that one too, though there's one of a lovely reclining lady that makes me think of Jessica Rabbit that is my personal fav.

BF and I had a lot of fun the last time we played that.
I know I do have a better picture somewhere, I think it is on one of my photobucket accounts since my computer crashed last winter I lost a lot of my photos. I must find it, I think Jen took that picture and it was at night all lit up. :thumbsup2

I'm glad to hear this, I changed from the Yachtsman to Narcoossee's. We were going to be eating steak all the time & I wanted lobster!:cool1:
Lobster is the best!

Eat lots of lobster for me. One of my favorite places is Cape Cod, but it has been many years since we were last there. I love those lobster pounds! ;)
I haven't really been to the Cape too much except to visit Marc's grandmother. I'm a Maine girl at heart. We had a great day out boating yesterday and then on the way home I stopped and got a lobster roll at my favorite place to take home, it was the best way to end our day.

My DDs have Apples to Apples Jr and we have so much fun - laughing our heads off - playing that game! It makes us even sillier!

Boring PTR? You? Never!!
Awww, shucks. Thanks!

Have a wonderful weekend in Maine. I hope its cooler there than everywhere else! Nice borrowed pictures! Perfect!
It was really nice on the boat yesterday. The drive home was a little hot since my AC broke about 2 weeks ago in my car. :headache:

Have a fun time in Maine this weekend! Love your Parks 30-Day Challenge! What a great idea!
I'm loving these silly 30 Day Challenges on Facebook. I actually want to see if I can find a Simpsons one next.

Oooh I love the 30 day park challenge! I might have to steal that if I get bored on my PTR later on...:rolleyes1

I love the signs at DHS! I love all of the old Hollywood stuff there!

My friends and I used to play Apples to Apples all the time!:thumbsup2
You may steal it, I will let you. :lmao: I adore old Hollywood, it just makes me happy.

Congrats on your ADR's. Love all the pics. Have a great time this weekend!!
Thanks, we had an awesome time yesterday!

Hope you are having a blast this weekend!

My boys are both out on the water, too. Trent is wakeboarding on the lake and Drew is going down the Harpeth River by either canoe or raft, I can't remember if he said. I'm landbound. Homebound, even. Gotta recuperate from this week and just stay in this house and go nowhere. I'll be back to normal tomorrow.

Isn't it great that there are different tyes of parks to give everyone the experiences they love best. Your least favorite is one of my favorites, and that's one of the great things about Disney - there is something for everyone!

Magic Kingdom is the classic park.
I love exploring the countries of Epcot, and Soarin' is my very favorite ride in all parks.
Animal Kingdom speaks to my heart in so many ways.
Hollywood would be my fourth pick, but how can I say that when I so love to see Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast with my girls.
And what's my favorite freefall hotel?
And Fantasmic - oh, how I love that big white boat full of Disney friends!

I can't pick one park. :sad2:

No way. No how. :upsidedow
I won't make you pick one park. I'll let it slide...this time. :rotfl: Marc & I had an awesome time at Animal Kingdom last September and made better memories of that park for me. I mean who could forget this?

Thanks for joining in!! :goodvibes It's been a lot of hard work for sure, with a lot more hard work to come!

There are multiple versions of the 30 Day Disney Challenges so you might not even find the right one!! That is why I didn't post the link, didn't want to ruin it for those who want to be surprised.

Love the 30 day challenge! Fave park is a tough one. Probably MK followed very closely by epcot. Can't wait to see what else you have in mind for your ptr - I am sure we will be thoroughly entertained until January!
Thank you, I am going to try my best. I am hoping to actually make our countdown calendar today...if Marc ever wakes up and goes to the store with me. :lmao:

This is a tough one for me because it changes all the time...I know what my favorite ride is...but favorite park...right now I think EPCOT holds the title with DHS in close second! I just have found a new love for WS and of course I adore Soarin'
I think every trip things happen or your experience is different and you like other parks more or less. Like in January, I loved our time in Epcot and you know how quickly I can get overloaded in there! :lmao:

I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! Marc & I went to Maine yesterday to rent a boat with my parents. It was a lot of fun. My sister-in-law wasn't able to get out of work but my brother and his dog Dylan joined us as well. I have a few pictures but I will spare you the pictures of me tubing, let me just say that I did MUCH better than I did last year. It was a lot of fun, just one of the many activities that I can enjoy more now that I have lost weight. My goal for next summer is to have lost even more weight so I can really be the tubing master of the family. I did have one scary moment when I was trying to get on the tube from the boat and I totally flipped over into the water and took some giant gulps of water, talk about scary! My brother felt bad because he had been helping to lower me into the water and he thought it was his fault, it wasn't. After boating, Marc, my Mom and I fell asleep in the car with my Dad driving until we got to my parents house. Then Marc & I picked up lobster rolls to go for dinner at home. The lobster rolls were the perfect way to end our day!

Before getting on the boat.

We are both super sore from yesterday and both got a little too much sun. I decided last night that we needed to make a countdown calendar. So we brainstormed and came up with a pretty cute one.

I even calculated the cost it took to make it since we are counting our nuts afterall. $8.22 total. Not completely cheap but I'm okay with what we spent because it was left over cash from what we brought to Maine so it was "extra" money.

Here is the final product.

Isn't it cute? I love it. We used post-it notes for the numbers, coloring sheets online, pictures and stickers. We had the stickers and Mickey Heads at home. Everything else we bought today. I colored the alien from Toy Story and Marc colored the other two.

Some closeups.

I picked out all the pictures except for the three that Marc insisted on. He picked out the Tower of Terror picture, Remy's picture and the pictures of us on Expedition Everest. I love when he gets involved in Disney centered activities, it makes me feel like he enjoys our vacations and I'm not forcing him to go again.

I love your countdown...sooo creative... And you look A-mazing!!! :thumbsup2

Randy just saw your countdown over my shoulder and wanted to know why we didn't have a nice "adult" one :rotfl2:

LL, I love it!!! I totally want to steal this idea from you for my next trip! :goodvibes

I want to make a countdown calender like that! I am not that creative though :lmao: Ok my favorite park is Hollywood Studios since I love ToT and RnRC. I also love to eat at Sci-Fi. I think we are going to skip it in September so we can try some new ones (Brown Derby for one).

Adorable calendar. Can you come do one for me now? I am so NOT that creative. Love creative people!

You need to get that AC fixed. OMG. It took 10 minutes just for my AC to cool off the car yesterday. I can't imagine having it broken. UGGGHHHHHHHH!

I love your countdown calendar!! I'm just randomly writing "we're going to Disney!" on a whiteboard we have up on our fridge, with the occasional poorly-drawn Cinderella castle . Yours (obviously) looks MUCH better!

Yeay for a fun day of boating and tubing! Love the picture of you and Marc! The thought of lobster rolls is making my mouth water. I wonder if our Publix has any good lobster meat...it wouldn't be as good as fresh Maine lobster, but it might do.

Okay, I am in total love with your countdown calendar!!! I WILL be stealing that idea later on!!! Hurray for Marc getting involved! I know what you mean because I always feel the same way when Charles gets involved in vacation planning as well.

Very cool calendar! Awesome job on it!!!

Sounds like a very fun day was had out on the boat!!! Glad you were able to have a fun, relaxing weekend with your family!

I love your countdown calendar! I just stick with the numbered Mickey heads on my door, I'm not super creative. Wicked cute!
