The Hero, and His Princess Return DxDDP - Earl of Sandwich (4/21)

I'm back and all caught up!

you and my DH would really get along! He love the Disney pizza, and always wants to go and eat at Pizza Planet and Pizzafari. I usually make up some excuse why we can't eat there ;) because I don't like the pizza, and the other offerings are slim. I didn't realize that the Village Haus had chicken strips! Next trip we can go there, DH can get his beloved pizza, I can get chicken strips and DS can be entertained watching the Small World boats! Your post just created one happy family!

Oh, and you've also now sold me on Tony's! I've heard bad things too, but your food looked so yummy, and you had such a magical experience. What a great idea getting an ADR there to coincide with the MSEP!

Sorry your food wasn't great at Sci-Fi, but I'm glad you had fun. I do like Sci-Fi, but more for the experience than the food.

We are fans of the Sci Fi. I'm not a huge burger person but I love the ones at the Sci Fi...can't wait to have one in August!:)

You had a better experiance at Tonys' then we did on our trip and have made me re-consider having it on my "never again" list.

We also ate at Sci-Fy on our last trip and had a great time there (Dinner not Lunch though). Did you enjoy the PB cake? I found it a tad to sweet for me but I enjoyed it over all.

Yay am glad you enjoyed Sci-Fi - it sure looks like fun! :thumbsup2

Those appetizers look yummy.

They were for the most part lol! We hope to visit again next trip!

Sci-Fi is really fun! Glad you enjoyed it so much!

Glad you like it too!

I am glad I have convinced you on two different place!

Ugh I should have had the burger :lmao:

Give tony's another try lol. It was wonderful!

I'm subscribing...I love your dining reviews, I shall have to go and read your other trip report. popcorn:: I can't wait

Day 3 (5/30) Hollywood Studios – Shutters at Old Port Royale

After a long hot day at the Studios, we were both shot, and decided that we would head back to the hotel, and give Shutters a try!
We approached the podium, and were given a beeper. After waiting just a few moments we were called in and seated at a very cute little table in the middle of the bright dining room.

I had a frozen apple smoothie, and Josh had a berry smoothie!
Our server Donna was very helpful, and brought us yummy bread as well.

IMG_3691.jpg

To start I got the shrimp fritters, they were ok, I don’t know that I would order them again. I only really liked the creamy dipping sauce, the others were ok, I am just picky! They were hot and crisp though, so I can’t complain!

IMG_3692.jpg

Josh started with a ceasar salad. It was good. Fresh lettuce and the dressing was pretty mild.

IMG_3693.jpg

While we waited a took a few photos of the dining room!

IMG_3695.jpg

For our entrée we both ordered the NY Strip, medium rare.

IMG_3697.jpg

Our steaks were good, not great, but filling! After our long hot day, we were just happy to be relaxing in the air conditioning

For dessert with both chose the Tres Leche

IMG_3698.jpg

The whipped cream on this was my favorite part. The dessert it’s self was good, but the cream was really yummy, and rich, and I dipped the fresh fruit on the plate in it… yummmm

Josh- Yea, it was worth the credits, it was fine.
Beth- The relaxing atmosphere, and to call it an early night, but still have yummy dinner made it worth it!

I thought this dining report was a goner! I'm so happy that it is back! :yay:

I've never eaten at Shutters (its one of the few Disney restaurants I haven't tried), but it looks really cute! The food looks pretty good too, one of these days I'll make the trek over to CBR and try it out!

I'm joining in. I see you fell into the dis hole I fell into after our summer trip, lol.

I have no idea what you people are talking about :rolleyes1

The updates here have been very consistant :rotfl2:

Day 4 (5/31) Epcot – Sunshine Seasons

The next morning was beautiful, and we were ready to take on Epcot, but first we needed breakfast! We headed over to the Land, and were in Sunshine Seasons by 9:17!

IMG_3704.jpg

We both chose the breakfast plate, with a coffee and a water.

Josh enjoying his breakfast!

IMG_3706.jpg

Our breakfast was hot, and very filling, neither of us finished our plates! The coffee was Disney coffee, so yea…. It was nice to each get a big bottle of water to take with us though!

Total : Not sure, the receipt has all 0s !

Worth the Credits:
Josh- Wasn’t bad, if you are looking for a quick meal, it is great. If you are looking for fancy sit down, then no.
Beth- Yes, but only because we had credits to burn in this case. I know this isn’t the best use of deluxe credits. I would eat here out of pocket!

Sunshine seasons is a great place to grab breakfast on an Epcot day! I like the egg, cheese and bacon croissant, although I'm not sure they have them any more. I think they changed the bacon to ham, which is a HUGE downgrade in my opinion!

Just joined in! Enjoying your DR.

Glad you are joining in!

I agree, ham is not nearly as good as bacon. On vacation I like bacon and butter :lmao: I restrict those at home, but on vacation I have bacon and butter everyday if I want it!

Joining in. Love a good dining review. I've really enjoyed your reviews so far! :)

Welcome and thank you!!!!! I am trying to finish this up, then I think I am going to take the mini reviews that I am doing in my TR and turn them into a full review thread here :lmao: I guess I am in a DISing mood!!!

Day 4 (5/31) Epcot – Chefs De France

Seating time : 12:30

I had booked Chefs De France without telling Josh that Remy might be coming through to say hello as we ate, so I was a bit nervous when we went to check in, and they told us it would be just a few moments.

However, we were quickly sat at a beautiful little table right on the windows overlooking the France pavilion and the lagoon!

To start I got a Diet Coke, and Josh got Coke. With our drinks our server Emillie brought a crunchy tasty baguette!

IMG_3733.jpg

For my appetizer I ordered the House Salad. It was lightly dressed, and very yummy.

IMG_3735.jpg

Josh went with the escargots, which he says was really good. It me, it look really greasy. He offers me some every time he orders it, but I have yet to take him up on it...

IMG_3736.jpg

I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to do for my entrée, I wanted to be adventuress, but in the end I went with the Macaroni Gratin. It was very cheesy, but not quite what I had expected. It was VERY heavy, and I didn’t finish even half of it!

IMG_3737.jpg

Josh chose the Chicken Crepe, and he ate most of it!

IMG_3738.jpg

This photo does a really good job of showing where we were sitting! I loved being on the windows, it was so fun to people watch while cooking off in the restaurant!

About this time I noticed that Remy was starting to make his rounds, and I was getting really excited! We had timed it right!!!! Josh on the other hand, had no idea what that there was something going on!

Now it was time for the big decision… Dessert!!!!!!!!

I went with the mouthwatering amazingness that is the chocolate cake.

IMG_3741.jpg

And Josh went with the stuffed crepe!

IMG_3743.jpg

We both really enjoyed our desserts! I ate my whole slice of cake!

IMG_3742.jpg

Just as we finished settling our bill the matradee and Remy rolled around!

IMG_3749.jpg

Remy squeeked at us for a few minutes, and then was off to the next table! I love the lady in the background’s expression!

Beth- I loved it! I think we will eat here again at some point! I loved meeting Remy!

Love the "Worth the Credits" part! We're trying to plan our DDP meals and this is SO very helpful! Looking forward to more reviews!

PS Please thank your "Hero" for all he does to keep my family safe!
