What restaurants do you regret eating at?

i have 2:

50s prime time cafe and tony's town square. in both cases the service was very good but the food just wasn't. ick.

I don't regret going to any restaurant in Disney, though some meals have been better than others. How will you know if you like a restaurant (or not) if you don't try it out for yourself? Disney restaurants, like may others have good and bad days. Also, tastes and preferences are very subjective.

Jiko. While it was a disappointment like many WDW restaurants it was the cost that made it a never do again. Seriously we spent over $100 for the two of us to get steaks so hard and dry I was sawing at it to cut it.

Just remembered two more:

GF Cafe - it was terrible and waitress gave somebody that shouldn't be drinking an alcoholic beverage a drink with alcohol (we ordered a virgin drink).

Kona (for dinner) - while Kona is very good for breakfast, the dinner was truly awful.

Restaurant Marrakesh wins the top honors for restaurants we would never return to. The food was horrible - no seasoning at all on mine and I could hardly chew the meat. We barely touched the food and after we left, we went to the france bakery and grabbed some food for dinner.

The dancer was out for about 15 minutes, 10 of which was spent trying to get peoples kids on the stage, another 5 dancing with them and then she was gone.

Very disappointing since I booked the meal for DH to see the Belly Dancer and he didn't really get to see her dance.

I completely agree with you. :goodvibes

Good thing we didn't book the Coral Reef for our upcoming HM!

I would say our least favorite meals were Crystal Palace at dinner. We've had great experiences at lunch and breakfast, but the food at dinner was pretty awful.
Other than that, Mama Melrose. The food was pretty good, but we had to wait over 30 minutes for our ADR because they double booked reservations (at least that's what they told us). Who does that, especially on a holiday weekend?

ESPN Club

The first time I went there, they were not very accommodating towards vegetarians. I asked if they could make the pasta without the meat in it, and they said no...which was weird because any restaurant I ever go to never has a problem making pasta without the meat. They also couldn't make any of the salads without the meat. And they also didn't have veggie burgers. So my only option was the veggie sandwich which I really didn't want.

When we went to Disney a couple weeks ago, my friends really wanted to go to the ESPN Club. I really didn't want to go since I knew I had to have the veggie sandwich which I really didn't like the last time. But I ended up giving in and figured I could always pick up something afterwards somewhere else. Anyways, we were a group of 6 adults and a 2 year old. We told them we were a group of 7. When they called our name to be seated, they pointed to 2 tables of 4. We were like "ummm, what's this all about?" They told us we had to sit at separate tables. We told them that we wanted to sit together and they told us we couldn't. I don't understand why they wouldn't ask us ahead of time if we didn't mind being separated. They just assumed we wouldn't mind sitting at separate tables. And then when we asked if we could at least push the two tables together, they said we couldn't because both tables had separate servers. So we spent that meal with girls sitting at one table and boys sitting at the other. It was so dumb. I think I'm done with that place.

Sorry, just had to say your dog is gorgeous! :)

Coral Reef Restaurant: We were seated in a table furthest away from the aquarium in some ridiculous booth setup where you share a split table with strangers. Everyone was uncomfortable, the food was not good, the restaurant was noisy, and it seemed like it was our servers first night (he was flustered and had trouble getting orders and remembering things like drink refills).

It wasn't all bad, the dessert there was good.

We had the SAME experience there last week. YUUUUCCCCKKKKKY! We were seated furthest away from the aquarium. Our server was horrible and our steak tasted like it had been boiled or something. I was VERY disappointed.

My Chocolate Wave dessert was REALLY good....... but it didn't make up for everything else!

100% honesty here:

My BF completely regrets Via Napoli because we ordered the "family style" salad and has sworn never to eat there again. I agree with him that the salad is way overpriced for what you get. Italian style or not, we expected literally twice the amount of salad we got for the price. Now as for the pizza... Here's the thing. Ordering a full size pizza to feed 2 people, if you compare it to a local NY-style pizzaria, it's way over priced. If you compare it to what you would pay at any other table service restaurant on Disney property for a party of 2, it comes out about even. Honestly, I would go there again, BUT I would order a full size pizza and nothing else. Everything else on the menu is way over priced IMO, and the pizzas are only worth it when compared to other Disney restaurants. In fact, thinking about it, I probably would rather leave Disney property and get an Uno's Deep Dish pizza off property for a lower price, since we both love their pizzas, plus we would have left-overs for breakfasts/other in-room meals.

Our worst dining experience was Chef Mickey's. There was absolutely nothing on the buffet that looked appetizing. We went for dinner, maybe we should try breakfast?

Breakfast..... ......imagine your dining experience memory....just a few hours earlier :lmao:

I regret going to the Captain's Grill at the Yacht Club. We went there for dinner on our last trip. We both got steaks that were just awful - not cooked right, no flavor, super small for the price. The service was incredible but the food...not so much.

Beaches & Cream is off our list now too. We used to love their burgers but the last time we ate there they tasted like those frozen patties you get at costco. blech!

Service was lousy, the steak fatty and way overpriced and the much touted grapefruit cake was stale. I'd like to have my money back on that dinner:wizard:

Trails End... The food here was some of the worst I had on property. The selection was poor and and the quality of the food was low. This is definitely on our list of never agains!

Disney's Spirit of Aloha... The food was not the worst part of this show. Although the food was not the best I have definitely had worse. I was more disappointed in the show itself. It is not at all what I expected and unless you get a priority seat, it is hard to see and hear what is going on.

Our trip in July will be our first time for Chef Mickey's.

Hope this helps you. Below is a list of all the TS meals we have experienced. If you have any questions, let me know :)

Crystal Palace

And why?

for us Hollywood and Vine (nuff said)

Le Cellier for us. I think the main problem was the hype that I had read here. people were raving about how it was the best steak they had every had, which makes me wonder where they go for steaks.

We tried it 3 times because I kept saying to myself, it gets such great reviews until I noticed that most of the great things being said about it were about THE SOUP!!! :rotfl2:

Steak had absolutely no flavor what soever and was definitely not the best quality cut of meat.

Breakfast..... ......imagine your dining experience memory....just a few hours earlier :lmao:

We had breakfast there this past Saturday and thought the food was pretty tasty! Pretty standard breakfast, but tasted good! Character interaction was good and timely! :dance3:
