A Hop, NO Skip, and Many Mishaps to a Disney Dream!

I heard back. It's either a memory chip or slot. He says it should be done later today. The bad thing is, he warned me that my motherboard is on it's last leg. He said it could last awhile or a week. He just doesn't know. He said he just wanted me to know and that my data will be able to be transferred when it happens though. He also said they have some refurbed XP's with more more memory for about $250, plus the memory I had added to my computer should be compatible to put in as well.
I am having it fixed and will wait for now. I hope it does last for awhile, as I hate to lose my "baby". LOL! I do know what he is talking about because someone told me about this a few days ago and said that gateways are famous for this. (I forget what it's called, but basically something kind of bulges out and is not worth it to fix.)
I hope that it lasts for a a year or two more at least....give my computer a little pixie dust!!!

:thumbsup2

I read that on facebook. I wondered if we could do military discounts for WDW.

Yes, currently, there is a 40% off discount for military that we can book. However, for some mysterious reason it is not available on the DTA site. You have to call, but I did, and I booked my friend in a studio villa at SSR with the military discount WITH the dining plan. This is unique because normally, you must have at least 1 day park ticket to get the dining plan, BUT I guess because the military can get their tickets from SoG through the 4 day ticket promotion, they're offering the dining plan. We however cannot get them their 4 day military ticket which is $138.00. They have to get that themselves at either a military TTI office on any base or at the ticket offices at WDW with military ID and at SoG. If they buy their ticket at SoG or a military base, its tax free! :yay:

I'm hoping you get lots more time with your "baby". Our desktop is on it's last legs too. I guess it's maxed out on memory, and runs slower than molasses.
I switched all my editing on to my laptop, took off a lot of the programs off.
The only reason I use it is one of email addresses goes to it.

I got it back...and I am on it now!!! :cool1:
It had something wrong with 2 of the memory slots, so they had to take 500 mb's (or whatever those letters are, LOL) out and left the 2G that I had added last winter. They jsut had to move it around. He said I wouldn't notice a difference from the 500 gone, which I agree. I was working with 500 for so long that now with the extra 2 G things run faster and I'm sure that 500 wasn't much for what I do. I also had a bad sound card...I haven't had sound for a couple of months, so he fixed that too. ( I had asked them too)
I think I might even go and start editing pictures after a bit!

I somehow got "unsubscribed" from a couple of threads...and yours was one.

I am in love and have already told Mark that when we take our cruise in 2013 for his 60th birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary that if we do absolutely NO other excursion I want to do the Dolphin Encounter! The pictures of you and Claire dancing, hugging and being kissed by the dolphin are priceless.

That happens to me every so often too.
It was fun. You guys would love it, I'm sure. I'm trying to give Skip hints we should do it again next year since our 10th anniversary is in June 2012. Thats big farming season, so we'll have to do it in Spring! :thumbsup2
For our Honeymoon...right after we got married we went to a Tractor Pull in Canada. :rolleyes1 Then we stopped off at the 1000 Islands on the way back. We had our actual reception in Nov that year and then the next year in the spring we went on a Cruise. We like to spread things out. :lmao:

you know what. One time my desktop was acting as slow as molasses in January and my IT guy DH bought one of those inexpensive clean-up programs, like mycleanpc or something like that, and ran the program, and it really made a difference. My desktop is a Gateway, its old and has a bazillion programs loaded on it AND would you believe it contains the directories and files from all my previous computers going back to 1989!! I got the feeling that since he works with computers all day at work that he didn't want to sit there and manually clean up our PC. He rarely even uses it himself anymore. He uses quicken on it for family money management, but everything else he seems to use his laptop. I have thousands and thousands of photo albums on it plus lots of programs for graphics such as Print Shop Deluxe and lots of different photo fooling with programs. Most of them are older though. Its got XP and Word 2003. Maybe everyone should try mycleanpc.com :surfweb:

I have been told NOT to buy those by several people. I guess they don't do enough for the money they charge, and you can basically do what they do for free. I use ccleaner alot and that helps get rid of crap as well.(and free)

Glad that you got the computer back! Bring on an update!

Working on it now. I didn't sleep well last night, so I am trying to get some done...then go take a nap! :cutie:

When I last left you, we had finished up the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter and made some purchases.....

After making our purchases, Claire and I walked the short distance to the boat dock and waited. The 1 PM boat was late, by at least 15 minutes, I would say. I took some pictures, but of course those are lost.
The boat came and we all boarded in a nice chaotic way. LOL! But we got on and Claire and I went to the top and back row of the boat again.
The ride was long again. I think it was just over 30 minutes. I shot some pictures of the gorgeous houses along the shores with intentions of telling Skip this would be our new vacation home.
The boat made 2 stops this time, 1 at Atlantis and then one back where we originally got on. We got off at the 2nd stop. I think it was close to 2 by the time we got back.

The Norwegian Epic was now in port too. She was huge as well, but not nearly as pretty as the Dream. I took pictures and eyed her a bit though. I have considered sailing her in the future…but after the Dream, it may be hard to switch lines.
We decided to head back to the ship. Claire declared she had to go potty. So we hurried. I didn’t see one as we walked though that customs building of shops, but I’m sure there was one there, I just missed it. In fact Claire said she saw one and was mad I didn’t stop.
The line was a little long to get through the customs area, but it did move pretty fast, but when you have a child doing the potty dance, nothing is fast enough.
We did get through fast. The guy never even wanted to see our Birth Certificates, just our room keys.
We made a mad dash, well I don’t dash well, but a fast walk, to the ship and again pulled the KTTW out and got through fairly fast, throwing our stuff in a basket to go through the scan. Again, they didn’t want to see our B/C either.
I asked a CM where the closest bathroom was and we ran to it. All was well then! LOL!

We then headed back to the room and found Mom there. She said she stayed on the ship for the most part. I think she said she got off for about 2 minutes, then just decided to get back on and relax. She said she read her book, explored a little bit and just had some “me” time.

Claire and I had a meet to go to, so we grabbed the camera and autograph book and got in line. The Princesses were coming out at 2:45. We saw the morning meets line and it was SUPER long, so I wanted to get in line as soon as possible. We only had a few families in front of us when we got there. It got long fast though.

I then noticed that the other 3 Princesses were on the other balcony.

Then they all proceeded down the stairs and got in place.

I hate to admit it, but Mom is not totally familiar with all the Disney Princesses…Shame on her! She asked who this one was. I told her Tiana. Mom thought she was just beautiful…..and she was...but after all, she is a Princess!

We now had one Princess left to visit. Who could it be?..

OOH, OOH - I know!! Pick me!
Actually, I was just VERY observant in your earlier pictures as they came down the stairs and noticed who was there that you hadn't shown yet!!

Cinderella!! Do I get a prize?

I need to do something for my poor overworked laptop. I have a virus protection program, but now I need to add memory. I should get rid of some old programs and pictures that I've copied onto an external hard drive.

This installment was well worth waiting for! What a wonderful way for the princesses to make an entrance. Claire looks so pretty and you can tell she was excited to see them all.
