Pixar Weekend @ Epcot

My 2 1/2 year old DD has been obsessed with Wall-E for the last 2 weeks - she's been watching it daily, sometimes twice! She is going to be SO excited to meet him!! We'll be at Epcot Friday afternoon/evening & all day Sunday. :goodvibes

So glad we have a late flight out Sunday night, looks like we are headed to EPCOT for a 3rd day this trip. I LOVE IT! Wife and I are just going to spend the day for meet and greets!

Darn, we leave Saturday morning that weekend! And to change our flight to later would cost us $75 a person (can't do that for 6 people). I wonder if they will have anything on friday, probably not. :confused3

I'm pretty sure from the article that the meet and greets are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - so if you go on Friday - you should be ok! Actually, we are planning on going Friday strictly for this so I hope we are ok too!!!

I'm not sure about doing this... how bad do you think lines will be? We're arriving there on the 15th and were planning on doing MK for the whole first day (classic). We only have 6 days there... the characters are cool but Woody & Buzz are usually out and so are some of the Monsters Inc. guys right?

i think its going to be busy. not only is Peter Noone playing, but with the rare m&g's it will draw in more people. we'll be there on the 14th

We'll be there too! We are there from May 2-14 and staying at the BWV so a quick walk over! The granddaughter's will be with us too. I seldom seem to choose the right dates when these things happen, guess I got lucky this time.

We arrive the 15th and have planned on going to Epcot to catch the last day of the flower and graden festival but now my grandsons will love this. It is there first trip to Disney and it will be even more special.
AWESOME!!!!!:woohoo:

any thoughts on whether the M&Gs will appear in groups e.g all the Monster inc chatacters together, or whether they will be out a couple at a time on a rotational basis

Yay! Our Epcot day is May 13! Can't wait to get a photo with Wall-e! Gonna be crazy crowded! :cool1:

do they do this every year???

This is the one weekend we just cant go...or else we would be there!

This is the first time I've seen this happen. I think it's because this year the Flower and Garden theme is Pixar/Toy Story. Of course, whenever they do something new and it has a positive outcome, they sometimes will repeat it.

This sounds so awesome! We are AP holders adn only live 2 hours away, so we are seriously debating putting up with heat and crowds to take part in this on the Saturday! (Heck, if the family doesn't want to go, I may go solo! ):rotfl2:

That is awesome! I would love to be able to go that weekend!

I think I'm more psyched than the kids. We were never able to get Bullseye's autograph before he retired from MK - have never seen some of the Monster's Inc and Bug's Life characters listed outside of the Pixar Parade.

We're making a special trip just for it. Just a nice coincidence that my birthday is that Friday

FWIW - I know we started looking way late in the game, and I know its always different for DVC than regular resort bookings, BUT the only villas available on points for booking on 5/13 yesterday when we called was a 1 bedroom at BWV or SSR. We snagged the BWV room and DxDP!!! :cool1:

What a grand sounding week-end! We get there the afternoon of the 15th. May not get to the park in time.

Don't forget this is Pixar's 25th anniversary as well. I think that is the big reason behind the theme and the events for this year.

Wow, it sounds fantastic....now I need to decide if I am going to try to deal with the crowds or just pick a different park for the day and go there at night?
