The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

since you were alone on the mexico ride, how creeped out would you have been if pinata donald turned to you on the ride and said "hello"

sorry that pic of you all alone on there just reminded me of a scary movie for some reason.
:confused3

Wow, you did a lot in those EMHs. We definitely have to give them a try this summer. Love the night shots around the World Showcase. We must do that as well!

Erika

EMH 's are the bomb. Most times the place really empties oput. During the summer, going back out ofter the sun goes down is a must. If you can stick it out until the last hour you will have the place to yourself. :goodvibes

It was a little creepy. I took full advantage or being alone and using the flash though :ssst:

I did keep waiting for something to jump out at me. :lmao:

What was really funny is that I still had a backlog to get off. I was about three of four boats back and had to wait until I got to the dock station. I almost wanted to just get up and walk along the boats to get off but I did not want to get kicked out. :lmao:

Man, you pack a lot into an evening! I hope by my next trip that the kids are able to do some late hours. I haven't been able to take advantage of evening EMH yet!

Center of the front row for Soarin'! :woohoo::cool1:

And French! :confused3 :rotfl2:

Liesa and go all out at EMH.:lmao:

Something to be said for solo touring. :goodvibes

I got some pixie dust for Soarin' that's for sure. Not sure about the French. Either I ran into French people or the CM was French. I wrote down French and not France so I don't think there was a crack about going to France instead of California. Now that is going to bother me more. :rolleyes1

That panorama picture is really cool :thumbsup2

I think I would have been a little creeped out riding a ride all by myself

I never have been able to stay for very long during nighttime EMHs, I'm always too exhausted from going all day, sounds like I'm totally missing out!

Pat, you panorama is awesome! The software is pretty easy to use.

What? Someone got sick on M:S Orange? They probably had someone tell them that it was no big deal.

I'm with Faunt, I might have been a little creeped-out going through the Mexico ride all by myself....probably thanks to watching "The Funhouse" back in the early '80's.

"French" on Soarin'....French fries? French toast? French kiss?

Oooo Oooo, I remember Horshack.

Thanks and hats off to GB and Glenn. The program was very easy to use. I just have to be sure to take more and make sure I over cover the area.

Mexico was a little creepy but cool at the same time. ;)

Sometimes a break in the room or just taking in a long cool show is all you need to recharge. Evening EMH is worth it.

Thanks again to you and GB for the tip. The software is SO easy to use.

Probably. It seemed like maybe the guilty party who told her it was no big deal was sitting with her. She did look a little green

It was a little creepy, but kinda fun. I could flash ( the camera ) away and no one was blocking my view as I slide from side to side to take pictures.

I went back and looked at the notes again. I have
12:59 Soarin' 3rd to last in
Single rider score go to front of line- French - center row 1.

Of course I thought I would remember. :rotfl2: Maybe the subtitles on the video w/Puddy were in French? Maybe I tried to chat with people around me and they were French?

Maybe there were people wandering around speaking French who did not understand why i was put in that line ahead of others? Maybe just French people just wandering around. :confused3

I remember one ride where the CM was announcing something cute as you were waiting to be put on the glider marks. Maybe it was that ride. Maybe that was French? No that was something about having glass slippers and taking them off on the ride.

I am sure it was hilarious and now i can't remember it. :headache:

I had to laugh at that story! I had some weired notes for my TR as well which I had no idea what they were about. :rotfl:

I was very impressed with your late evening at Epcot! I am not sure I could ever really do that, I would be way too scared not to make it to rope drop on the next day and I still love rope drop!!

Usually it is my handwriting that hold me back since when I am jotting things down i usually can't read it afterwards. It does say French pretty plainly but for the life of me I can't think of why. :lmao:

Doing EPCOT until midnight is not too bad. I can make rope drop the next morning. It is the MK until 2 or 3 am that sometimes are more difficult. :rolleyes1

I, too, took a last Glas und Porzellan sign picture.

Nice job on the mural. :thumbsup2

Of course you take that picture before it goes away. :lmao:

that program is SOOOOO easy to use. Click on the pictures and then hit panorama and let it go. It does all the work. I will have to plan to use it more. Even easier that using the panorama on the camera.

Day 2
Friday July 9th
I had set the alarm before going to bed at 12:48am. What was I thinking???? In any event, something is beeping at 6 am ! I promptly hit the snooze button. 9 minutes later it goes off again. This time I actually get up. Why do I subject myself to this tourure when I am trying to relax?

I had a mission, 2 rope drops!

I ready myself for the day. I had my crocs on the day before so this morning I had many blisters to attend to. Luckily I had the Bandaids and the Neosporin and managed to carefully bandage each and every one of those darned blisters.
I am completely ready and down to the POP food court at 6:49am. I filled my mug full of coffee, added the necessary sweetner and lightner and made my way to the bus stop.
I approach the DHS bus stop and what do I see? The bus pulling out …. Again. :headache: This time I wait. I did not have long.

IMG_3443.jpg

A mere 8 minutes late I was looking at this.

IMG_3444.jpg

Yup it was 7:10 am. I had 50 minutes to kill. Believe it or not I was not the first one there. I walked on up and found a “lucky” turnstile.

IMG_3448.jpg

I looked for a friend I heard was missing.

IMG_3445.jpg

I hear Bo was “away”. A vacation perhaps, to a spa maybe. Perhaps he was distraught when he first heard a certain fan may not be visiting. Well that family changed their plans and now he was gone.
As I waited the crowd was building.

IMG_3446.jpg

IMG_3447.jpg

It was nearly time to be let it. I was so close to the front. Right as predicted at 7:45 or so we were let in …. To go stand at the rope. :headache:

IMG_3450.jpg

The Rock and Glow stage was special for Summer Nightastic.
The fountain without anyone in sight.

IMG_3451.jpg

The time was now…

IMG_3452.jpg

I texted MeMom and asked if everything was still on schedule to meet up. The plan was the Taste of Africa after the parade and later the MSEP at MK. The message I got back was AK but maybe not MK, they were trying to spend as much time with Trent as they could. That and it was near the end of their trip and exhaustion was setting in.

All the CM’s came to the rope to meet the crowd. When the TSM CM’s came down they had bad news. TSM was down and would only be available for FP. AGAIN?!?!?!?!
This was the second time this happened to me. Either this happens often of I was just unlucky.

I watch the rope drop show and perform to the best of my ability in the Toy Story Trot. I get this little beauty.

IMG_3453.jpg

I did not attempt to get in the standby line this time.
So let me recap-
Up extra early
Out the door and to DHS by 7:10
Wait 50 minutes for rope drop so I can get FP and ride
Only to have TSM down.
Now What?

I left you standing by TSM with a FP in hand. The problem, I couldn’t use it for 1 ½ hours. I said I was trying for 2 rope drops remember? This would kink up those plans.
The fast thinker ( and planner ) that I am, I had a plan B.
Lets walk down to ToT and RnR.

IMG_3454.jpg

The Summer Nightastic promotion had some changes for ToT. I was excited to experience those additions and try to figure out if they would stay. We all know now that those changes were somewhat temporary. Since I was not entirely sure what was coming I did not catch it with the camera.
When the doors first opened your picture was taken. As you ascending to the drop part, your picture is projected on the doors in front of you. Then it disappears. Ooooooohhhhh spooky.

What I know now is that they refurbed the scene you ride through that summer and now the eye holds that picture. If you are quick you can catch it.
My horrible redneck picture

IMG_3456.jpg

The dump shop

IMG_3457.jpg

That amused me. The same amenities available in the resorts room were available here.

It was only 8:23 so I walked over to RnR.

It was down too!!!!! What on earth was going on! That was my summer stress talking. My moring EMH was just about a bust.
No worries – plenty of time to make rope drop at EPCOT.

I wanted to check here for the coins on the counter.

IMG_3458.jpg

:rotfl2: I guess the booth has air conditioning.

I walk back towards the entrance to document the absence of BO.

IMG_3459.jpg

IMG_3460.jpg

I see 2 CM’s so I ask “ Where’s Bo?” They both confirm that Bo has gone o
ut for refurb but have no idea when he would be back.

I explain that there is a family coming in a couple of weeks and there is a sweet girl who loves Bo. She will be sad if he is not there.

She is taking notes. She tells me to have them check in guest services if he is not back. I think "score” this may work.

As we talk I learn neither one of them really realized Bo was gone. :scared1: :scared1:
Karen volunteered Walt for this.

IMG_3461.jpg

With a couple of the summer nightastic items crossed off my list in DHS I make my way to the boat dock.

IMG_3462.jpg

It is now 8:40. Would I make the rope drop at EPCOT?
