Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Cruise, Oct 30th,2010 Magical Western NewTR link 4/10

Not as good as your face but I had to share. That's me front left and my wonderful son who as you can tell knows when the picture is being taken. I am too busy screaming. Here I look like I'm laughing but that's just in between screams. Some interesting reactions here too. The poor little girl next to us looks scared to death. The girls on the right were pretty funny and yelling as loud as me. :lmao:

OMG, what a great report so far!! I love the fact that you got the charger from YC, Disney rocks!! I like the tip about the tripod with the camera and have always wondered about those gorilla pods and if they really work, my night shots came out so bad for most of our recent trip and it drove me to buying a new camera :rotfl2: Completely envious of your headless horseman pic, I tried twice to get that shot and the camera just would not cooperate :sad2:.

I don't get the french thing but Tim's favorite quote from te Simpsons of all place is "the French are cheese eating, surrender monkeys". I took french in high school and love it all so who knows.

The dual trips to Italy for food sounds devine. I need something to think about while I am burried under all this snow. UGH!

Chef's was on my list but I wasn't sure if the girls would enjoy it without Remmie. I do know that chocolate cake well. I think we had it 3 times this trip...lol. It was Beth's favorite thing.

For $500 I'd stand on the table and sing it in French. :lmao: ...and I'm part French. It's all about the Benjamin. :thumbsup2

That's HILARIOUS!!! So many different expressions on that ride! Is there a thread of these pics somewhere? If not, I'm going to start one- thay are really soooooo funny!:rotfl2:

Everything looks great so far!
Cant wait for the cruis!

Hi Bill! It was great to meet you! Hang on- we are almost to the cruise....:yay:

OMG Rosie...:rotfl:

As my back up I want Marv on the SPOONS!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Very nice....:rotfl:

The big thing about the gorilla pod is that you have to have something to wrap it around or stand it on, and you have to try to make it as level as possible. But it definitely does work!

And thanks for the HH compliment- he was riding much slower this time, so I think that's how I got the pic. I was actually surprised it came out!

I love that Simpsons quote! And what do you mean without Remmie? Isn't he still there sometimes?

Have you dug out of the snow yet?

This made me :rotfl2:!!! I'll let Fred know!

French food finished, we weighed our options for the remainder of our night...wander around the countries? Go back to BCV and hang? Actually find a spot and WATCH fireworks for once? Run like crazy people (against the hoardes coming in to watch Illuminations) to Future World and hop on some rides and then run back like even crazier people (against all the exiting hoardes) to hit Stormalong Bay for a few quick nitetime slides before the 10pm close??? Hmmmm...which do you think we chose?

DUH...of COURSE we went with the most complicated and convoluted choice! Swimming uphill and upstream, against the throngs of people heading to watch Illuminations.

I kept stopping occasionally to snap pics, but we were moving FAST! Talk about UBER-COMMANDO!

PA290521.jpg

We thought our best shot to maximize rides was to head to Mission Space, followed by Test Track-

PA290522.jpg

We all are good on team green - that's the more intense one, right? I invariably try to get on the wrong one everytime- Orange- so if I've got this confused, I'm not all that surprised. And yes, we walked right on.

PA290526.jpg

Good thing about a family of 4- we get our own car. And THAT means...we can act REALLY, REALLY stupid on the ride!

PA290528.jpg

PA290529.jpg

It's GO TIME!

PA290531.jpg

PA290532.jpg

PA290533.jpg

We were all cracking each other up, yelling to hit the Hyper sleep & Timmy wake up! We're gonna crash on Mars!! Hit the brakes! Bank left! Bank right! Tyler do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around! Pull back! PULL BACK!!!! Etc, etc-

PA290534.jpg

PA290535.jpg

Don't move a muscle-

PA290536.jpg

We had a lot of fun hootin and hollerin on that one- AND on the next one. I think we walked on Test Track at a minute before 9!

PA290537.jpg

We were the last car of the night. And just so ya know, I kissed ALL the monkeys in my car when the ride was done-

PA290538.jpg

Even though I messed up the order of our umm... evils....

Timmy can never resist the pull of this car- even when he was four! Just what is so great in there? Does anyone know?

PA290539.jpg

But we had no time for that tonight! Stormalong Bay closes at 10 pm- and it was already about 9:15! Run FORREST!!!! RUN!!!!!

Up next!

i am all dug out :) We haven't has a snow day yet. Guess we are a hardy bunch. I think our final total was 14 inches. Minneapolis got a bit more than we did. I am just north of downtown.

I was under the impression that Remmie is there during certain hours. I would love to see him

love the pics on the rides, I got yelled at for having my camera out. lol

Test track pic is awesome as always you take such cute ones lol

I love how much fun you had together on MM! I'm always mixed up which color is which, also! I love the green side, Jim not so much. I convince DSIS to go with me, and she had to make a trip to the little girl's room with a CM right as we exited. Kind of ruined her day. :sad2: The Orange side is fun, too, but not the same. Ummm, I'm not sure about the colors, either. I always think green means wimpy cuz anyone can GO on it :confused3 At least we are on the same page! :lmao: Maybe green is the color some people turn on the intense side!

I told me kids last night that you had 14" and no snow day- they think your girls got jipped! :rotfl:

So what are Remmie's hours? Does anyone know?

Love your TT pic! And you're right, there should be a thread for these. Goofy ride pics or something.

I was hunting for one last night, and couldn't find anything, so I think I'm going to start one. :thumbsup2

Great Update Ellen !!!

Thanks Rosie!:goodvibes

How did they yell at you on MS? I guess Big Brother is always watching- just maybe not quite as much 10 minutes before closing. :rotfl:

How awful for her! I've never done orange- although I have almost done orange many times, by mistake! Shouldn't they make the colors more relatable? Like, RED is the intense one, and BLUE is the calm one? Very confusing. Good thing I always have someone with me to pull me in the right direction.:thumbsup2

Great update!popcorn::

Thank-you! :flower3:

Epcot was done for the night, and in case there was any doubt in our minds, we were once again slammed with the masses and hoardes of people exiting the park as we swam uphill and upstream as fast as possible- we needed to get back to BCV, change into bathing suits, and get down that slide at Stormalong Bay before the pool closed for the night. Could we make it?

PA290540.jpg

Can I just say, it was a LOT more challenging than even heading to the rides had been. As you know, the fireworks finish, and there is a mass exodus from all over the park. But we were DETERMINED!!! ANd we kept yelling at the boys to stay with us! It was really kind of ridiculous and funny at the same time-

PA290541.jpg

I did stop for a couple pics, and you KNOW that meant I had to make a mad dash right afterwards to catch up!

PA290543.jpg

PA290544.jpg

We were finally back at BCV, changed into swimsuits, and WOOOHOOOOOOO! We made it! Time for our first ever night time slide at SB! :woohoo:

It's very dark in this tube at night.....
PA290545.jpg

PA290546.jpg

I definitely got my clocks cleaned on that first one, taking pics and all! :rotfl:

PA290547.jpg

PA290548.jpg

PA290549.jpg

We had fun swirling in the whirpool...
PA290550.jpg

PA290551.jpg

PA290552.jpg

PA290554.jpg

And then....it was time to get out. We all felt pretty pleased with ourselves, crammin' all that in to about an hour and a half!

PA290555.jpg

PA290556.jpg

Just a little more to come in the next post....

After we dried out and changed, i went for a little walk around BCV...

I loved that this villa decorated their balcony- I saw them doing it the night before. Wish I had brought my gorilla pod! Our room was two floors directly above, I think.

Look Lonnie- a bunny!
