Well, ours was 59.00 a nite and my other 2 were half off each. So, I dont know why they told you 67.00. Are you staying on site as well?

I added the FB page, thanks! I hope to talk to someone who will likely be their concierge or who can relay some info to them for us. Although Rocky has anxiety, he does like playgroups once he warms up, I just need to explain that he needs that time to adjust and see if they can accomodate. Our other dog gets anxiety and has gotten sick from it before so I would like to let them know that too. But from what I have read here I am confident they will let us know right away if there are any issues.

Request to have STEPHANIE GARCIA. She is awesome and took really good care of my boys! She went above and beyond to take care of them! All of the staff is really good too. Ask for Leonora and shoot, the short haired blonde gal...cant think of her name....LOL

I just wanted to correct something that Cheryl wrote. They absolutely DO have playgroups on the weekends (my babies played all day). They don't offer Doggy Daycamp on weekends, because that's a whole different story. But there were lots of options for us to choose from: they did playgroups, play & stay (saved me $, woot!) and I got a couple of one-on-one playtimes for my little one, who's still a bit needy.

Was it a little more expensive than we originally planned? Yes, but well worth knowing that my guys were having a great time.

And by the way, we had a great vaca, too!!!

They stayed together in a vacation villa, and I really think they miss everyone there, and especially how much they were pampered! They got a lot more attention at BF than they do at home (tough with my job and the kids )

The staff is clearly as crazy about dogs as I am, especially the people who took care of my guys. I have to tell you, everytime I checked up on them, whoever I spoke to knew everything about my pets and was able to give me details. Whitney is the kennel manager, she was totally on top of things, and Taylor played and played with them, especially the puppy.

I'm not really good with pix, that's DH's job, and we're still working on a big vaca album. I don't know how to upload photos to this! I only see a link to insert a URL??? Sorry...

Thanks for your review. Makes me feel much better to read good reviews. What kind of dogs do you have? Planning on Disney in March. We will probably be boarding our Pug there. She will be 10 months old at the time. I just worry about her getting too hot which is quite dangerous for the breed. Hoping to book a villa or even a VIP suite for her Grandma refuses to watch her for us .

I am sooooo glad this thread is here! Our 10 lb. toy schnauzer will be staying in a Best Friends villa for 10 nights: 11/11 - 11/21. We'll be staying nearby at POFQ so it'll be super convenient to drop in & spend time with her.

What kind of bedding is provided? In all the pics you see the nice cushy beds but I'm not sure if those are provided or brought from home? I bought a cheaper dog bed/donut thing at Ross the other night just to give her something she can snuggle down into a bit. I'm just not sure what to expect with the beds.

I've been a little concerned that my Riley Belle will get cold at night. She sleeps curled up against my legs under a blanket. She's such a little cuddler. I made her a snuggle sack to see if she'd like somthing like that (which she does!). I'm going to whip together a few more before we go so I can refresh them a few times during our visit. Also, I'm going to start putting her clean baby-size blankets in my bed one at a time, sleep with them a day or two, then seal them up in gallon-size ziplocks so they have that familiar smell. I can also rotate them every few days.

Still need to buy a new sack of rawhide chewies. I also need to dig out the box of toys she tore holes in so I can sew 'em up. She'll think they're new again!

Planning for pooch travel is every bit as involved as planning for the kids when they were little guys. I wouldn't trade it for anything, tho.

I'll be sure to come back with a full report...and pics!

Sounds like you are on top of the dog's packing list . Please let us know how you/Riley liked the kennel. I was thinking of booking POR for our stay so that we wouldn't have to go very far to see our dog.

Just returned yesterday. Our little Molly stayed in one of the regular kennels. I am sure they treated her well, but she just wasn't happy. She gets stressed when we are away from her, which isn't Best Friends fault. Molly didn't eat for the first two days. (The workers didn't tell me either. I had to ask. I was a little upset that they wouldn't mention to me that she hadn't eatten in two days.) But once I mentioned it, they mixed some chicken broth and parmesan in her food bowl, and she ate well after that.

I love how close the resorts are to Best Friends. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge. There is a little side road that runs from the MK resorts to the kennel. It was so quick! It took me less than 5 minutes to get there from our resort. Port Orleans is super close. We may try it next time.

All in all, I think we'd use them again. The experience was positive for the most part.

I love the way you are packing your baby up and taking all the steps to make sure she is super comfy away from home! You sound like me!

The beds are just like the ones you buy at walmart or petsmart. They arent like super fluffy, but they lay them on the concrete blocks that are in the villas and VIP's. My boys laid on them sometimes, but I would just take their beds from home and they would use those. So, whatever you take with you will probably be good too.

Poor Molly! My Rascal is the same way about stressing out when Im away. It makes me feel soooooo guilty! LOL...but glad she is ok now! I cant believe they didnt tell you about her eating...that makes me kinda mad! Geeze! We were at the Poly and we would take that side road you are talking about and when we had little traffic, it took about 7 minutes for us to get there. Not bad at all, but I still wish that BFPC would provide some sort of shuttle to the kennel. Its not WDW owned, so its not up to them to provide trans, but it would sure be nice if the kennel would.

I love POR. (It will always be DIXIE LANDINGS to me) and I told my DH next time, Im staying there to be closer to my fellas! LOL

I think so...the reason I prefer the suites over the villas, is the personal pet concierge. That alone is worth the extra money to me. They get more time with a person and more attention.

The villas looked real nice, they have the TV as well, and its not as big as the suite. I didnt like it alot cause its in a row of other villas, and there is alot of activity with the staff taking the other dogs out, the back and forth, etc.

If you have the extra to spend, i would shoot for the suite! And yes, its just fine for one doggie!

Hello ms mouse! I dont know about the reg villas being quiter than the VIPs to be honest with you. There are only 4 VIP suites and they are off on the other side of the kennel. The reg villas are near the regular boarding and there is a long hallway where the staff walk back and forth to get the dogs, so there is always activity there. Its not like constant barking and things like that, but it is busier than the VIP suite area.

The web cam is awesome! Me and my DH have a smart phone and we always were checking the cam! It just wasnt updating after 6 pm and that wasnt good at all! So I would wonder what they were doing after we went and visited them that evening! (Im very paranoid! LOL) Maybe they since fixed that problem!

Hi. I was just wondering if anyone has had their cats stay at the kitty city? We will be down there next yr for our wedding and honeymoon and are seriously considering taking our lil furry daughter with us. My only concern is if the cat condos are really confining. I've seen very few pics and was just wondering if anyone had anymore information regarding boarding their cats. Thank you.
