We get there on the 17th. Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Are you taking a lime green Mickey head with you? Maybe I will spot you in the lounge!!

If they don't greet you at the bus, make sure to identify yourself as Club Level guests to a Bellman or another Boardwalk person, so they can help you--they may need to call a Concierge person down to escort you up.

I can tell you that we did this and LOVED it.

Well that was a much better description of the excursion than I read on-line on the WDW site. Thank you! $45 sounds like a deal to me. I think we will all enjoy it.

I really appreciate the feedback!

I don't have any lime green Mickey Heads to identify us.

I will be sure to identify us if we are not greeted. We have a Garden Suite. Can't wait.

The bus does take a different route, but it doesn't stop there. The driver points out various animals you wouldn't normally see on the KS AND STOPS THE BUS to get a better look. We saw ostrich eggs, lions basking on a rock, hippos, gazzels, baby giraffes cavorting with each other, etc - that we never saw on the usual KS ride. You're also allowed to stand up and look out each side of the bus (when it's stopped) so you can view things you might not see otherwise. You're encouraged to take pictures - no one rushes you thru. You can really relish the experience.

I am sorry they are discontinuing this excursion. Grandkids and I have done it 3 times. Love all the info the driver gives, all the stops for photo ops. I like being able to stand and see, and stand and take pictures. Grandkids really enjoyed the excursions....and it was reasonably priced!

We are really bummed about this being discontinued! We were scheduled to go last trip, but we all ended up with the dreaded tummy-bug and missed it! We really were looking forward to it this trip, but alas......:sad2:

I was wondering do the Standard Club Level Rooms at the Boardwalk Inn come with a balcony or not?

Yes they do :)

The ones overlooking the boardwalk are quite narrow and enclosed, i.e. they have a solid base, I also had a garden view CL room and the balcony was wider but more 'open'.

This is the boardwalk view, hopefully it gives you an idea of the depth.

I was wondering do the Standard Club Level Rooms at the Boardwalk Inn come with a balcony or not?

Yes but they ones I have had have been relatively small. I've been in 3 BWI CL rooms and all have been much smaller than CR. They have all had a table and 2 chairs but they just fit.

One of my friends that I'm traveling with for my bday in May got a PIN in her DH's name over the weekend. We were able to book BWI CL with the 35% off even though her DH isn't traveling with us.:cool1:

We thought about trying for AKL CL but there are 3 of us going and we thought we would be better off at BWI CL.

Now I just have to finalize ADR's so I can send those off before our 180 day mark on Friday.

Found a photo. This is from the dreaded "behind ESPN" room but I don't think the others are much bigger:

Just made our summer reservations today.

We'll be at Poly gv cl June 30-July 5
and
BC gv cl July 5-15.

We love, love, love BC CL but have never stayed cl at the Poly.

If anyone has been there recently tell me what you thought about it.

We usually book gv room at the Poly but since we'll be there over the 4th of July thought it might be worth th extra money not to have to fight the crowds on the beach to watch the 4th of July fireworks.

How are the evening appetizers? Any good gv rooms I should request?

Thanks!

That is a narrow balcony for the Boarwalk. The chairs would have to be in the room to sit in them. :scared1:

We are looking at a few different opyions for our next trip. We are trying to decide betweena few resorts and two of them are Club Level. Which do you prefer between the YC CL or CR CL?:confused3

Without a doubt I would go with Club Level at the Contemporary.

I stayed in both CLs in August and as far as the lounge is concerned, I thought the YC did a much better job by having a dedicated lounge staff working in the lounge. The CR had the IPO staff doing most of the work in the lounge, which meant that frequently the lounge was not replenished or cleaned as often as the YC's lounge. However, the view from the CR's CL lounge is amazing.

As far as the resort is concerned, I would definitely choose the CR. I prefer the easy access to the monorail and the monorail resorts and being able to walk to the MK. I also prefer the décor of the CR rooms and being on Bay Lake and having everything right in the Tower. It's just a personal preference.

Let us know what you decide:)
