Basking in the Glow of the (not so) Creepy Clown -2/11-Pictures, Final Thoughts, PTR!

We left off with a crying, melting child as we made our way out of the MK gates.

It was a short-lived meltdown, by the time we got to the buses he was fine again.

As we made our way to our bus stop we noticed there was a bus waiting for us! Love that!

We boarded at 1:50 pm and were on our way - we saw our first Tronorail sighting on the way back to the BW

Joe was very excited - he will be at the midnight showing if he can make it happen!

By 2:05 we were back at the BW

As we went to our room I snapped a few pics to capture more of this beautiful resort

This is the small gift shop just off the lobby that sells DVC stuff (and some generic items as well)

I loved the carpet - it was so beautiful! Henry was surprisingly still awake at this point and knew just where to go to get back to our room.

I'm pretty sure I already posted a picture that looks just like this, and you might see it again. I remember snapping the picture and thinking throughout the week that I really wanted to make sure I got one of it and couldn't remember if I had taken one!

Back in the room Henry and I laid down and were out in minutes. I haven't a clue what Joe did - except he told me later that he went down to the hot tub at one point.

Eventually I woke up and poked around the room, relaxed, caught up on FB, read the DIS, etc. until Henry woke up.

By 5:02 (no, not 5:00 or 5:05 - 5:02 exactly! ) we were back at the buses - and one was waiting for us! We were on our way back to MK!

We arrived within 20 minutes including a stop at the Swan and Dolphin. It really didn't take very long at all even with the extra stops, so the sharing buses wasn't a problem to me at all.

See that balloon CM? I recognized him from other people's TRs and had to get a close up shot!

Anyone recognize him?

I want to be there RIGHT NOW.

Amazingly Henry did not ask for a balloon once this trip!

We had a goal in mind.

Where could it be?

I'll give you a hint. It was dinner time.
And we were at the MK.

If you guessed

You were RIGHT!

OF COURSE!

But!

This just wasn't any 'ol stop at Casey's. This was to be a Corny Dog DIS Meet!

Just as we approached Casey's my phone rang - it could not have been better timing.

It was Liesa! (All7OfUs)

Liesa: "Hey, where are you at?"
Me: "Outside of Casey's."
Liesa: "Me too!"



And yep, sure enough - there she was. We were like oh...what? 5 feet away from each other???

We quickly greeted each other, hugged, said a few words and got down to BIDNISS! Let's order!

We both knew exactly what we wanted.

Is there ANY question?!?!

While our food was gathered/prepared we made our way back to the door area

to take in a moment or two of the Move It, Shake it, Celebrate It (or WHATEVER it's called!) parade.

I gotta say, I was a bit bummed I didn't get to see Mr. I on the other side of the float with his mardi gras beads!

The music was catchy - looked like a lot of fun...but well....corn dogs take priority.

We got our food and found a spot on the really uncomfortable bleachers in the back. I get the theming, but really - I would MUCH prefer more normal tables over the bleachers.

All well, won't stop me from going there, not when these beauties are available!

Woot!

Drool.

Liesa and I chatted - it was like we had known each other for a very long time. We didn't skip a beat, talking about our trips, lives, and more. It was a wonderful time!

Tate was hanging out in her bag and made his way out - there wasn't any way he'd be missing those Golden Delights!

And of course Mickey wanted a bite too.

Henry had a BLAST playing with Tate. Poor dude probably almost lost his mustache! As he was playing with him he appropriately made tooting sounds for Tate and he opened his rear putting in and taking out pieces. Now, if you also read Liesa's report this will be even funnier due to all the bodily function talk over there. And here is the truth of the matter ----- he normally doesn't do that!!!! He only made Tate toot! His rear fell off at one point (or maybe he didn't have one to begin with?) and Henry immediately asks, "Where's his butt?" It all just made Liesa and I laugh even harder.

All too soon our meals were done and it was time to go our separate ways.

I am a GIANT!

It truly was a wonderful DIS meet! I'm honored to have met such a wonderful woman. I hope our paths in life cross again before we meet in heaven. But if not, see ya there! (and if you haven't gotten to know this chick, I urge you to do so - she's awesome!)

I had brought a gift for each of the DISers I was meeting this week, Liesa, LL (Leslie) and ClaireW, but guess what? They were forgotten at home - and they are still here! I need your addresses ladies and eventually I WILL get them out to you! Liesa; however, did not forget her gift...

It's a pen! Very cool! I had purposely covered up the country name there with my thumb, unsure if she was going to be able to share it for security reasons - but she has. She's from Kazakhstan! (or least has been for the last 9.5 years)

Joe, Henry and I made our way out of Casey's and we ended up pausing by this sign - I had never really read it before.

I loved the "Information" column!

Ahhhhhhhhh! Let's just stand here and soak for a bit, shall we?

Okay, moving forward, let's go here

And hit a few things we missed this morning.

10 minute wait, let's go!

Henry often carried his Mickey like this, claiming it was his "bag". I think it's because Joe takes a bag to work everyday. Who knows!

Gotta love Roz!

I have several pictures of this, but I think it's so funny!

Into the show we went - which was great, as always. It's always kinda the same, but a little different - I haven't gotten tired of it yet, and Henry thinks it's HILARIOUS, so that makes it even more fun for us. We had a lot of good sports and they picked an awesome Sully - he was a big guy with a big 'ol white beard.

And...I broke a rule.

I always want to snap a couple pics in there - so finally I just quick did one!

After Joe, Henry and the Rule Breaker left the show, we headed this way

Great updates, Brook. I am so glad you got to meet Liesa. I've never met her but I thoroughly enjoy talking to her on the DIS. Glad you got your corn nuggets at Casey's (we don't eat there, but we have stopped to rest on the bleachers and they are uncomfortable...but then we sat in them for years between baseball, basketball and wrestling ).

I'm going to guess Jungle Cruise.

Looks like you guys had fun on Buzz and the Peoplemover. I am so glad they are back th old name. Henry looked so cute on the moving walkway.

How cool that Henry got to meet Buzz and how cute was it that he thought Buzz left the meet and greet to be inside the ride. Glad he got to shoot the gun on the ride.

I have been lurking trying to catch up on your TR and havent really had time to comment yet...but we were just down there at the end of September and I saw that same balloon guy. I had recognized him from previous TRs, but could only get a picture with his head turned, bummer!!! I also tried Caseys for the first time and it was AMAZING! I was so excited I could get cotton candy as my dessert with the dining plan

I loved the carpet pic! As weird as that sounds. I just think it's so neat how each Resort is so different in all the detailing.

Oh man, Little Guy HAD to have one of those balloons with the Mickey head inside the clear balloon thing. You will not believe it- it lasted 2 whole months once we got home!!

How cool you got to meet Liesa! She's little like me, so I didn't feel so short around her.

Monsters, Inc. is so fun! It's great when you get a good group of people in the same show as you. They make it more fun!

I didn' t know Oso was at a character breakfast! We aren't big DHS people but I think Aiden will really appreciate it this time around so I really need ot do some digging on what is and isn't there.
