Show me your Evening Wear!!!

Everyone looks great! :yay: I'm feeling much more confidant about that little black dress I've been looking to wear.

Anyone ever feel over dressed...

It's possible that between now and the cruise I could find a few more of those cute little dresses.....:rotfl2:

Nope--I never felt over dressed:goodvibes Dressing for dinner is one of our favourite parts of the cruises (yes, even the kids--DS11 loves puttin' on the ritz)

so did anyone go formal for formal night though? Did you see any guys with tuxes on?

Well DH and DS always wear tuxes (DH has his on in the photo I posted). WE have seen anywhere from 10 to 75 percent or so of men in tuxes depending on the cruise (the 75% was Christmas) with about 20% seeming to be the average.

We always go ALL OUT with beautiful dresses and lots of bling lol!
my DH and DS always wear a tux too. I buy DS's on ebay for under $30 each year and DH rents on board.

Its the one time we ever get to dress up and be fancy

My husband always wears a tux and I always wear a formal dress. For semi formal night he wears a suit and tie and I wear a cocktail dress.

For our first 7 night cruise we rented the tux & shoes for DH so I wouldn't have to pack them...might do that again next year for the Med. This is not a good pic as it was just a self-timer one in the cabin before we headed out to dinner but you get the gist.

I added this dress to my wardrobe for our Princess cruise to Alaska summer '09. Plan to take it for my next cruise.

This was a 2-pc dress with lots of glitter. I wore it for 2 cruises and retired it. It was shedding too much glitter. This was our May 2008 cruise.

Oh glitter on dresses is a MESS! I had one once for a Christmas party - floor length with a big 'ole slit up one leg. Everytime I crossed my legs I picked my pantyhose & got glitter stuck all over them!! :rotfl2:

I totally know about the sticky glitter.:headache: It was all over my skin. I was reading cruise critic and they have a fashion thread and discovered that glitter dresses are a major faux pas:sad2: since the glitter can adhere to other peoples' clothes and they are not happy. Too bad because I really liked the style of the dress and it was comfy. Oh well, I got to go buy a new dress (the wine colored one in the first pic) and actually got another new dress that I don't have pictures of yet. It is another cocktail style in a bright raspberry pink color.

It helps to see pictures of what others are wearing. As a future first timer, I have no idea what to pack for myself or the kids. I love seeing what others are wearing for dress clothes!

my daughter and her niece (my granddaughter) on formal night

I love everyone's outfits!! I hope I can get DH & DS to agree to rent tuxes for formal night. They can wear their suits on semi-formal night. I might even let them get by without the jacket on semi-formal night
