The Official 2010 MNSSHP- Tips,Tricks and a few Treats !

So excited! Thanks for all the fabulous tips. This will be a surprise trip for DD, so I'm just bursting trying to keep this a secret! I know she'll have such a great time, thanks to everyone sharing their know-how!

So the party ends at 1200 - how long do they keep the shops open? Do they close them right at 1200 (I figure that is kind of late for folks working)? Looking at all the pictures there is some serious shopping I may want to do...:)

Does anyone know if they have any special pins they offer for the party? And is there only merchandise they put out during the party or is everything available all day?

I'm wondering if there's anyone who attended the Sept 18 party that could help me with a quick question?

We're going to our first ever MNSSHP this Saturday, Sept 25. We're two adults who's primary focus is the parade and HalloWishes (plus the HM enhanced photos and Cinderella's carriage).

I was wondering how early we should find a spot for the parade and HalloWishes? The forecast is sketchy, so I want to try for both parades (not risk waiting for the second and have weather be an issue).

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hello -
We just got back from Disney today actually but we did attend the party on the 18th. I would suggest getting a spot for the parade quite early - you can see most of the parade from a bit of a distance though. We were directly behind the front row and we were in place about a half hour before the parade. We were able to see all of the parade.
The fireworks were a bit of a mess up for us as we ended up behind the castle over in the Liberty Tree area. We lost track of time and had planned to get out front earlier but oops! Soo.. I'm hoping someone got video of the parade from in front of the castle as I would LOVE to see it.

I wanted to add my thanks for posting the popcorn bucket pic. We'll be eating several buckets I'm sure.

Yes, stores close at midnight so shop early there are special party pins - one for each night.

Does anyone know if these will typically sell out before the last parties? I don't want to get too excited but that popcorn bucket is CUTE.

No kidding! I thought everyone was talking about just another cylinder shaped one. I thought we don't need ANOTHER one of those. Now I want this one. :rotfl:

I see that October 31st has sold out, as expected. Does it typically sell out around this time (earlier/later)?

Also, we plan on going November 1st, but we want to wait to buy our tickets until we are there to make sure the weather is good and no one is sick. We'll be there about a week before that date. Are the odds pretty good that date will still be available? I could switch things around to pick an earlier date, but I thought this one might be the least crowded. My biggest worry is that if something happens and we can't go on Nov. 1st, there are no more parties left to go to! :scared1:

Ornament ::yes:: MNSSHP Shirt ::yes:: Exclusive Pin ::yes:: Reusable tote bag ::yes:: And now a souvenier popcorn bucket ::yes::

Looks like everytime I go and think I will spend less on gift shop merch I end up being wrong :rolleyes1

Thanks for posting the pic of the popcorn bucket-- I too thought we were just talking about some round plastic bucket -- but that little thing is so cute we may have to buy two to use as around the house halloween decos next year.

I have updated the first post again to add times of events and a couple more videos links !!

Does anyone know if it is flavored popcorn, I do not like the taste of reg popcorn, but want a bucket. Or can they sell it w/out popcorn? I do not want to just throw it away...

We are headed to MNSSHP late next week and with tropical storm Matthew out there possibly headed to the US I am worried about the rain. Can anyone tell me what things are typically canceled at the party if it rains? I really want to go but if they cancel the fireworks and/or parade we will be so disappointed!

WOW - just saw October 31st is sold out. I suspect that folks who wanted to go then and didn't buy tickets will buy the dates closer now (i.e. October 29th, etc.).

I agree! I love the bucket but since I am going Nov. 1, I worry about items selling out. :sad2: I've heard both if an items sells out prior to the last few parties that's it and also all parties have the items... maybe someone knows a more definate answer????:confused3

Again THANK YOU ALL for all your party posts, tips and pictures. I cannot wait to go...rain or shine!!!!!:dance3:

If you ask I don't see any reason why they wouldn't sell it to you empty. You'd be paying the same price of course, but it'd be better for them since that's more popcorn to sell.
