Where Pixie-Dusted Birthday Dreams Come True! A July Trip Report! PTR Link! Pg. 116

So happy to hear that you found Chelsea's camera. What a relief! What a lovely CM too (my DD always wants one of those spray fans).

Connor has been pining after one for a long time -- it was a dream come true for him!

I loved reading about the camera incident from Chelsea's perspective. So glad they had the camera at lost and found!

I'll have to remember that "you get free stuff when you cry!"

Yes, I think "you get free stuff when you cry" is something we should all remember at Disney. LOL!

Yay for the camera!! :thumbsup2 I don't know if you remember our 2009 story of the lost wallet... We got it back in the mail a week or so after our trip. Gotta love Disney - anywhere else & a camera and/or wallet would never be seen again! :goodvibes

I love hearing it from Chelsea's perspective.

I do remember your story about the wallet because it is always one of my fears that we will lose something like that on the trip! I just love that things turn up at Disney! I don't know if that happens much in the real world.

Glad she found the camera. I loved how she wrote her story.

Thanks! I couldn't resist using it.

Jackie, I just loved reading this update from Chelsea's perspective!!! She did a great job with the details! I'm so glad that camera was found!! And YAY for a great CM who was able to add that special pixie dust that makes Disney Disney for us!!

Hope you have a calmer week next week!!!! Thinking of you!!!

When I read Chelsea's rough draft, I just knew it would be perfect for the update. I haven't read her finished copy yet -- we will see if she made any changes.

Calmer? A little, but not much. I don't know why this year has been so crazy so far. Do your students arrive on Monday?

I LOVED this update!! So great to hear from Chelsea's perspective. I tell you, even though I knew the fate of the camera through FB I still had a knot in my stomach. And if I were you and Charles I would have gone for a drink stronger than coffee after it was resolved no matter the time of day. :rolleyes1

What a great CM to make it all better with spray fans! :)

Looking forward to hearing about your Le Cellier dinner... hopefully Connor got over his 'guilt.' :upsidedow

I had a knot in my stomach just reliving it while writing the update. It was so stressful to discover the camera missing.

I think both Charles and I would have liked something strong to drink, but it would have been a long, hot walk to Mexico! LOL!

Le Cellier is coming up this weekend! Connor didn't seem quite as guilt-ridden the second time. ;)

Sorry about the rough week
But you're one week closer to summer vacation 2011 ;)

I enjoyed reading about the camera incident from Chelsea's perspective. And I love travel writing. What a great way to start the school year. I may try that with my third graders this year.

Thank goodness someone was kind enough to turn the camera in. That was so nice of the CM to sprinkle a little pixie dust on Chelsea and Connor. Things like that make Disney a wonderful place :goodvibes

Yes, we are almost down to 34 more school weeks.

I found the travel writing lesson on readwritethink.org. It was in the high school section, but my middle schoolers took to it like ducks to water.

The CM was so sweet! I wish I had had my wits about me and thought to take a picture of her with Chelsea. She was the best!

I was also glad I already knew the outcome through FB. She did a great job tellin her story. I also remember reading about the rude chiar movers. Glad you had a fun day overall.

Yes, despite rude people and a lost camera, we enjoyed our day!

This was a fabulous update! I love hearing about the camera incident through Chelsea's eyes. Plus your comments were priceless. I hate that horrible sinking feeling you have when you realize you have lost something. :sad2:

I'm so glad the camera was found and Disney magic was restored!

Chelsea had a lot of fun writing about her lost camera, and you know I just couldn't keep my mouth shut with my own comments! LOL!

Disney magic was definitely restored and even boosted by that fabulous CM!

I love Chelsea's update! "If you cry, you get free stuff!" That's awesome! I am so glad you found the camera. And then the CM going above and beyond, amazing!

Looks like a great afternoon, drinks by the pool -- albeit with a few stalkers and weird chair movers.

Thank you! Yes, I love that comment of hers! So Chelsea! :lmao:

I can't even imagine how Chelsea must have felt when she realized her camera was gone:sick: I can relate when it come to forgetful children, we call Jasmine Dori most of the time...she will leave the family room go half way down the hall, come back and say "what was I doing"....let's just say if she carries the backpack in WDW, I don't really relax.

Nothing like a pina colada by the pool....I can taste one now:cloud9:

Yes, Chelsea is just like Jasmine -- totally a Dori! LOL!

I could definitely drink a few pina coladas right now!!! I was just thinking that I might need one or two this weekend!

Loved this update! :thumbsup2

Chelsea did such a great job writing her story. What a relief it must have been for you guys when the camera was found, whew!

Hope your next week at school goes better

Thank you! Yes, I think I went weak in the knees when the CM came back with the camera.

This week was a little calmer -- more of a tropical depression instead of a hurricane. Hopefully, I will hit my stride soon.

Glad the camera was found!!! Poor Chelsea...I can just imagine that sick panicked feeling she must have had. Tell us more about the rude chair movers, please.

We were all a bit sick to our stomachs during the whole ordeal.

Oh, those chair movers. :sad2: They were right beside us and instead of asking me to scoot my chair over a little bit -- which I would have gladly done -- they waited until we were in the pool and shoved my chair way over onto my shoes and knocking over my water bottle. Some people.

What a great update Chelsea! I am so glad you got your camera back and got spray misters too boot! Nice! I love your essay and I'm glad you mom posted it!

The trip to the pool looks pretty relaxing, except for the 11 year old stalker. yum - pina coladas!

I will be sure to pass your comments along to Chelsea -- of course, that will mean I have to confess to using it in the first place.

I love pina coladas -- I think they are my favorite summertime drink.

Very possibly true!

I read somewhere this week that this summer has been the hottest one on record. I believe it! I am looking forward to fall weather.

Oh man, I can't believe we paid fifteen bucks for one of these (well, Brooklynn did, anyway) when all she had to do is cry! She knows how to cry with the best of them. No telling how many she could have gotten!

:rotfl: She may could even score something way better than a spray fan!

Truthfully, I am just so glad the camera was found so easily. I'm sure you all will hold your cameras a little closer, as will the rest of us, because of hearing about your experience. That could have been any of us! Too bad Chelsea had to go through such trauma just to help all of us learn lessons for the future.

I agree! I know I was double checking the cameras (and everything else) the rest of the trip.

Thanks for sharing the story again through the two points of view.

I thought it would be neat to share this experience from Chelsea's point of view.

You have not seen my child :rotfl2:

I am glad I am not alone! LOL!

LOOK OUT - that will be a reality in a few years. Love Chelsea's expression behind the wheel.

Don't I know it! I get cold shivers every time I see that picture!

My DD is a Dory too. When she is having one of her moments I just usually say " Look, shark". It helps diffuse the frustration I begin to feel at her cluelessness.

Good idea! :lmao: I am always getting frustrated with Chelsea forgetting things. Second day of school she forgot her glasses at home. I was not a happy camper about that.

I was a couple updates behind but thanks for your handy-dandy links so I caught up quickly!

Cool pirate ship pictures :thumbsup2

I have yet to actually spend any time in Innoventions, I suspect the boys would love it so we may need to make it a priority next time!

I would love to see the POTC film sets!

You and your boys would have a blast in Innoventions. So many cool interactive things to do.

I loved reading the camera story through Chelsea's eyes!! Of course I love that someone turned the camera in but how sweet of the CM to give the kids the mister fans!

We were thrilled with getting the camera back -- the spray fans were such an added bonus!

Excellent update. Enjoyed "hearing" about it from Chelsea.

Thanks! I just had to share her point of view on the whole thing.

Great storytelling, Chelsea!

So glad that someone was honest enough to turn the camera in to L&F. And how sweet of that CM to sprinkle a little pixie dust on Chelsea and Connor!

Thanks! Yes, we were so happy someone turned that camera in! It really restores my faith in humans! At least the ones that vacation at Disney! ;)

what a great update...thank Chelsea for me too...great writing :thumbsup2

and I loved that she calls you Momma...my kids called me Mama too :goodvibes...my brother always teases me (we are such Northerners )

so happy the camera was found :cool1: and hey never would of thought you'd need a picture of yourself to prove that is your camera...good thing to know and glad they asked...

so sweet about the misters too...

J~

Thanks! Oh, yes, both my kids call me Momma -- we are southern to the core. LOL! Yes, I never would have thought about the showing pictures to prove the camera was ours -- so much easier to identify camera now that we are in the digital age.

What a great essay...good job Chelsea!

Thank you!

This would be us too...except Hannah would be making comments like "Well you should have been more careful with your camera so you wouldn't lose it." (Hello pot...meet kettle.). Alison is forgetful too. I think it's all the hormones. Hannah is selectively forgetful.

Oh, that so describes both Chelsea and Connor. Connor is so "selectively forgetful." Another thing I blame on Charles. LOL!

Loved hearing the lost camera incident from Chelsea's point of view. She did a great job! Hope she gets/got an "A" on that essay! The CM was so nice to give Chelsea and Connor those mister fans. Yay for pixie dust!!

Thanks! Pixie dust in excess! It was such a silver lining in the cloud of lost camera despair!

Aww, great update Chelsea!!! I really loved reading her writing. I teared up a bit at her calling you Momma and Charles Daddy. So sweet -I feel like I could hear her voice. What a great CM to give the kids mister fans!!!

Ah, thank you! I love her writing, but then I am supposed to since I am her mom. :goodvibes

I didn't get to ride TT this trip, but Sarah and DH did - I bet she didn't know about those licenses! I'll have to remember that for next time!

Connor has wanted one of those on our last few trips, and this time he had money set aside for one. LOL!

Chelsea's swim suit is super cute too - makes me think of AKL!!

Yes, both her swimsuits this year were animal print ones -- the other one had zebra stripes. They would have been perfect for AKL last summer!

I'm glad you all survived the first week of school! I still can't get over how early it is. Do you get out in May?

We do get out in May -- this year our last day will be May 20.

What a great essay, Chelsea; so glad it ended happy!

Thank you! I agree -- it would have been such a tragedy if we hadn't found the camera.

:lmao: Just think what you would have gotten if the camera *hadn't* been found!

Ha ha ha! It might have been something really, really good. ;)

Don't you think he deserved something a little stronger after all that?

Oh, most definitely, but it was too long a walk to Mexico.

Oh, Jackie...are you really prepared for the next few years???

Nope, not at all! :lmao::scared1:

Oh I just loved this update!!! Loved reading Chelsea's perspective (and your interjections ;)) I previously knew the outcome of the fated camera but the story behind it...the wonderful CM and the pixie dust I love a happy story!!
Enjoy your weekend and get some rest....and maybe another update

Tracy

Thank you!!! Yes, I had to keep the spray fans a secret for the trip report! I was DYING to tell everyone about them, though! I am such a lousy secret keeper! LOL!

You are in for such a ride with your new teenager!

It almost doesn't bear thinking about! I think I will be in denial for the next couple of years.

Loved the update and seeing it through Chelsea's eyes!

Thank you! :goodvibes

Sorry you had such a rough week, Jackie! I'm enjoying my last couple of weeks before I have to head back too....summer goes by way too fast!

Yes, it does! I remember as a kid summer always seemed to go on forever! Now, it just speeds by in the blink of an eye! Enjoy your last couple of weeks! :goodvibes

LOVED Chelsea's perspective on the camera incident...she did a really good job! :thumbsup2 "I guess you get free stuff when you cry, huh?" What a classic line! :rotfl2: I'm SO GLAD to hear that the camera was found though...and the fans...totally cool! :cool1:

Thank you! I couldn't help but laugh when I read that line of Chelsea's! It is so her!

Can't wait to hear about your dinner at Le Cellier........LOVE that place! :yay:

Oh, it was fabulous in so many ways!

Enjoyed the update in "Chelsea's words." Glad the camera was found and all was well again.

Hope you had a good first week back to school. I had a good one, but exhaustion is catching up with me now.

Thanks! Yes, I was so relieved we found the camera and could go back to enjoying our vacation!

I hear you on the exhaustion! I have been so tired the last couple of weeks! I am already ready for Labor Day weekend.

So enjoyed your last update, Chelsea's essay was lovely!
Did I mention that Baylor lost his new camera at COP in June? He didn't cry though and I don't think he would have even for a mister fan... ;)

Did she ever get a disco ball for her locker?

Thanks! Oh, no! I can't believe Baylor lost his camera on COP! Poor guy! :(

Nope, we never found a disco ball for her locker, but she did get locker beads for it! :lmao:

EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS!!!! :rotfl: You'll be in my prayers my dear. Every.single.night. ;)

Yes, please! I will need them!

Great update!! Loved hearing it through Chelsea's point of view, what a great idea! I can tell how much she was crying in that picture with their new fans. What a horrible moment turned very magical though, gotta love Disney! "Free stuff when you cry..."

Thanks! Yes, her eyes were very puffy from crying for almost an hour.

Love the way Chelsea's essay fell with the timing of your trip report. It was a pleasure to read. Cute update. :goodvibes

Thanks! I was actually surprised that she chose that incident -- I figured she would go for something from her Texas trip.

Ohhh, poor Chelsea! Her description of the event was just heartbreaking with her loud sobs! :(

I'm so happy to hear that the camera was found though!

It was heartbreaking at the time, too, because we didn't know if we would ever see that camera again!

We were so thrilled to be reunited with that camera!

Loved the update from Chelsea's point of view. Glad tha camera was found. I agree with everyone else with the comments with Chelsea in the car and you new teenager. LOL I will also be praying for you!

How did Connor react this time to parking at Bech Club again?

Thanks! Yes, Chelsea was having entirely too much fun in that car. LOL!

Connor seemed a little bit better about parking this time...maybe because we got away with it the first time.

Jackie ~

I just read your October 2009 trip report. Those Dragonberry Coladas look delicious! I'll have to try one in October - hope they still serve them!

I have an EPCOT F&WF print hanging in my kitchen too. It's from several years ago....
IMG_1173.jpg

Welcome, Debbie!!! Thanks for reading! Charles and I already checked out the menus for this year's Food and Wine -- sadly, no Dragonberries, but there is going to be something called a Torched Cherry Colada. That sounds yummy, too!

Love your print! Have you seen the one from this year? I keep thinking it would look really good in the kitchen with last year's. ;)

My daughter is also turning 13 this year. Her birthday is a week from today! Don't they grow up SO fast???

OK, off to read your trip report....

Debbie

Yes, they do grow up way too fast! I can't believe I have a teenager!

I was 2 updates behind.

I would have had a very hard time letting go of the plan. But then again DH would have had a hard time too. I don't think I've been in that side of Innoventions in years. We have done the other side a lot.

It was tough to let go of the plan, initially, but I am glad we did! You need to explore that side of Innoventions -- very fun!

I'm so glad Chelsea's camera was found and turned in. She did a wonderful jog retelling the story. And the lesson learned is priceless.

Thank you! :goodvibes

Michelle (now 20) got a Test Track license when she was 15. She was chomping at the bit to get her permit. Danielle keeps asking for one and I really need to break down and let her get one too.

Connor was bound and determined this trip -- he has wanted one for several trips now, and for whatever reason, has never gotten one. He knew this trip he was making us stop to do it. LOL!

It was really neat to include the story from Chelsea's point of view and I'm so relieved for you that they were able to find it.

Can't wait to hear about World Showcase:goodvibes

Thank you! We were so relieved. It was like a great weight had been lifted off my shoulders!

I don't know Jackie - I think Sully could give Chelsea a run for him money on most forgetful child. ;)

:rotfl:

Travel writing - what a fun assignment! :cool1: Thanks for sharing Chelsea's essay with us. That was a fun way to tell the story of the missing camera. :thumbsup2

I found the lesson plan on ReadWriteThink.org. They have lots of neat lessons on there -- I have used quite a few.

Chelsea , you did a great job tell us about your lost camera. I enjoyed reading about it even though I had seen on fb that it had been turned in.

Thanks! I couldn't wait to share the entire experience with everyone!

I loved the mother/daughter update. I also love the picture of Chelsea and Connor after finding the camera. You can tell Connor was just as happy as Chelsea about getting the camera back.

Thanks! Oh, yes, Connor was just as happy to have the camera found. I think he was as stressed out as the rest of us!

Totally great story! How convenient their assignment (and her subject choice) was right in line with your TR!:rolleyes1

 It was actually a bit of a coincidence that Chelsea chose that particular incident. I do have to confess, though, that once I found that lesson on the Internet, I knew I would have to use it. I am such a sucker for travel writing! (Obviously ;))

In the future, we will hope for some really fun mother/daughter Disney trips for Jackie and Chelsea, and we will get to share those through their stories. Mother/daughter trips are pretty awesome!

I can't wait!!! :goodvibes Chelsea was talking the other night about how we should go to New York City just the two of us. I think that would be a lot of fun, but I don't know how our boys would feel about being left behind.

So glad she found her camara. Love to here the trip from Chelsea's point of view. One of the reasons I love trip reports is to hear all the diffrent ways people view things that I have looked at a hundred times. WTG CHELSEA it was great

Thanks! I know Chelsea enjoyed writing it because she never complained about it. ;)

Whew! All caught up! I've been off the Dis for awhile enjoying the summer. Love the trip report! Thanks for sharing!

Did you have a great summer? Glad you are enjoying the TR!

So glad Chelsea go her camera back! The gifts were a great way for Disney to make a stressful situation magical!

The CM was so wonderful! I wanted to give her a hug!

I think I may have to spend some time in the Innovations building next time!

Can't wait for more!

Yes, the Innoventions building was lots of fun! We probably could have spent all morning there!

Hey Jackie! Okay so I am still trying to get myself in order, but I did at least get to read how you guys just went with the flow that Epcot morning, and I was totally in agreement with Charles getting you to change a few things, especially with the Sum of All Thrills -- good call!! :thumbsup2

I was so glad I didn't balk at Charles wanting to change the plans. We had so much fun hanging out and playing that morning!

Okay, and like everyone else has said, that photo of your now teenage daughter in the car with that emerging, alluring, bat of her eyes? Um yeah. You's IN TROUBLE IN TROUBLE IN TROUBLE... :rotfl2:

I suspected as much. :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I gotta go back and continue and make sure I didn't miss anything -- I did catch the whole crying eyes with the free spray fans... THAT is soooooo cool, and SOOOOOOOOOOO why I love DISNEY!!!! :goodvibes

The CM totally surprised us with those spray fans! I really thought she was going to come back with some tissue for Chelsea! No wonder it is so hard for us to branch out and go anywhere but Disney!

Oh, and absolutely the travel writing assignment = that is perfect, and I sooo love all the wonderful bits from Chelsea and her narrative POV -- great "voice". :thumbsup2

Thanks! We were actually working on "voice" with that assignment. I am glad she was successful at it! :goodvibes I liked the assignment because it was so much better to have students doing just one event from a trip instead of trying to write about an entire trip. It made their essays so much sharper and more exciting to read.

LOVE those frozen cappuccinos!!!!! :thumbsup2

You know that was another time I said to Charles, "Happydog says there are good coffee drinks at the stand by Mission:Space and Test Track." :rotfl:

The update from Chelsea was great! Nice to see a little into a 13 year old's mind. She seems to be a pretty good kid, just a typical teen!

Thanks! Chelsea is a good kid! I have been lucky so far!

I have to say that I really don't like Crocs, but I noticed your Cleos & thought that they are cute. Well I received my pair today & I LOVE these sandals!! They are so soft & comfy, thanks for the tip.

I wish I could take credit for your Cleos, but I don't own a pair. :goodvibes I may have to go look at them now, though.

Hey, I just found your trip report & it's great.
We stayed at Caribbean Beach a couple days after you. it's such a nice resort. :)
can't wait for more updates. popcorn::

Thank you! I am glad you are enjoying it! We just loved our stay at CBR!

How awesome that you posted the update from Chelsea's POV, she did a great job with the story! You can totally tell that she had been crying in that picture that you posted with the misty fans, her poor little face is all puffy. So glad that the camera was turned in and all was well, plus she got free stuff for crying ;)

Thank you! Yes, poor Chelsea had cried and cried the entire time we were looking for the camera.

I also want to hear more about the rude people that moved your chair at the pool! Did you have your stuff on it, were you on it?? Details please!

Yes, it was quite clear I was sitting on the chair. Instead of asking for me to try and scoot over a little bit, they waited until we were all in the pool and shoved my chair over. It was on top of my shoes when I got back. I would have gladly moved it had they only asked. :sad2:

:goodvibes great tr subscribing

Welcome!!! Thanks for reading along!

I was asking about the Locker disco ball because they must have been late coming to Kansas.
I kept looking but never found a display at our Target.
Then all at once, it was there and they were gone!
Except for one.
I got it, for Chelsea. :goodvibes

Ahhh!!! You're the Bestest Fairy Godmother in the whole world!!! We love our Miss Anita Wigd!!! Thank you!!! :goodvibes

Hi Jackie-
I have been MIA from the boards all summer. Running after 3 little ones left time on the computer to just about pay bills (at least I hope I paid them all). I have missed all of the DIS people. Did you ever get to Huntsville for Star Wars? My husband and DD loved it. I stayed home with the boys. But now I am back. We booked our trip. I can't decide if I want to dust off the old PTR or just start a new one. Anyway, glad your trip was FABU! Love all of the pics. Watching your kids grow is amazing! Anyway, subbing now. :thumbsup2

Jackie excuse me for getting OT here for a minute.

Erin: The title of your TR intrigued me so I'm subscribing!

Silly me! I get you mixed up with Lesley all the time. You two are so similiar to me, sorry.

Really, those Cleos are so cute & comfy.

Hope school settles down soon for you. I can't believe that schools have started already, seems like the kids got out for summer vacation just the other day!

Oooooh! How fun! :dance3:
Are you going to tell her, or just let her open the surprise package when it arrives?

I haven't said anything yet...;)

Hi! Glad you are back on the boards! We have not made it to Huntsville yet. Of course, time is running out. Charles and I were talking about maybe going Labor Day weekend. It's the drive along a bunch of back roads that seems to be making me hesitant. I don't want to be lost somewhere in eastern Alabama! Hurray for booking your trip! It's always so much fun to plan a Disney trip!

Jackie excuse me for getting OT here for a minute.

Erin: The title of your TR intrigued me so I'm subscribing!

It is a very cool title! :thumbsup2

I will have to check those Cleos out! School is still a little crazy. I think part of it is that we have gone to 100 minute classes and I am covering twice the material I normally cover.

Summer vacation did seem to start just the other day! Time flies during those breaks!

I can't wait!!! :goodvibes Chelsea was talking the other night about how we should go to New York City just the two of us. I think that would be a lot of fun, but I don't know how our boys would feel about being left behind.

Speaking from experience, just leave the refrigerator full of food, and they'll be okay. :goodvibes

Maybe they can go on a camp-out, canoe trip, or something Conner likes to do the same time you girls go off. You could all come back and share your fun experiences!

You and Chelsea will truly have so much fun. Jill and I laugh until it hurts so often when we are together without the guys. We have the same touring style, too, so it's nice to be able to come and go as we want to without taking any of the guys' little 'quirks' into consideration. Girl trips are more relaxed and drama-free. :)

I am so excited about Chelsea getting her special package in the mail! :woohoo:

Good idea! Knowing my boys, they would be just as happy spending the weekend playing video games together.

Me too!!! I will have to make sure to take pictures!!!

July 19, 2010: Part Three

We had some time to kill before our Le Cellier reservation, so as we entered Epcot by way of the International Gateway, I made a couple of suggestions.

Me: We could go ride Soarin’.

Charles: Nah.

Me: We could go see Captain EO.

Charles: Nah, I don’t want to do that, either.

Grrrr. :headache::headache::headache: I was feeling a little cranky at this point.

Instead, we went to the United Kingdom to pick up my BIL’s England World Cup t-shirt. (I had texted my SIL the night before with World Cup t-shirt choices, and she had responded with a shopping list of shirts my BIL and nephew wanted. After all, at the prices they had been knocked down to, it was hard to resist for anyone who loves soccer as much as our family does.)

071-1.jpg

072-1.jpg

We just wandered around for a little bit after that -- looking in shops and browsing the carts that line the walkway from the United Kingdom to Canada. Soon, it was time to check in for one of our most anticipated meals.

073-1.jpg

We had never eaten there before, and we hadn’t even wandered down the path that led to it. It was an entirely new experience for us.

074-1.jpg

075-1.jpg

076.jpg

077.jpg

We sat and waited for our table to be ready. We didn’t mind too much since it was nice and cool inside Le Cellier.

I amused myself by taking a couple of pictures.

078.jpg

079.jpg

Suddenly, one of the Cast Members was asking, “Is there a Chelsea here?”

Chelsea hesitantly admitted that her name was Chelsea.

He held the phone out to her and said, “You have a phone call.”

Chelsea was so confused, but her face quickly broke into a grin when she realized she was getting a birthday phone call from Goofy!!!

Afterwards, she told me, “He even said my name. He said, ‘Hi, Chelsea! I hear it’s your birthday!’ and then, he sang to me!”

What an adorable moment of Disney magic! Charles even got a kick out of it!

Soon, we were called to our table.

Love the chandeliers!

It was a lovely meal! Chelsea ordered the Raspberry Pomegranate Lemonade, and I think the rest of us ordered soft drinks of some sort.

Needless to say, we all ordered the Canadian Cheddar Cheese soup to enjoy with all the yummy breadsticks. The pretzel bread was by far my favorite.

For our entrees, Charles ordered the prime rib (based on Happydog’s DH’s recommendation), Chelsea ordered the filet mignon without mushrooms and with the cream cheese mashed potatoes, Connor ordered the chicken with mashed potatoes, and I ordered the salmon.

The kids goofed around while we waited on our food.

Yes, that is my daughter examining her make-up in a piece of silverware.

Everybody really enjoyed their food, but I was very perplexed by the sides served with the salmon. They resembled modern art installations more than actual food. I think they were meant to be egg roll type things, but they looked strange and tasted even stranger. I neglected to take pictures of our entrees, but I did find a picture on the internet to show you what the salmon looked like.

For dessert, the boys split the mousse, and Chelsea and I split the maple crème brulee. The Crème Brulee came out on a decorated plate.

Chelsea insisted on scraping off the chocolate.

Stuffed to the gills, we rolled ourselves out of Le Cellier. It was time to save the world with Kim Possible.

On our way to the rendezvous point, I had to grab a couple of quick pictures of France and Morocco. Ah, Morocco, how I love you!!!
