"Now That's What I'm Talkin' 'Bout!"- Our 1st DVC stay-May 2010-Wrap Up 9/23

How did I miss that you started your TR?! I'm so sorry. Anyway, all caught up. I love your room at AKL! Yay, for DIS meets. The girls' AK outfits are so cute. :cutie: Breakfast at TH looks delish. It's on my list to try soon. Your July trip is really starting to sneak up on you. Almost time to pull out the luggage again. :cool1:
The GG looks like a ton of fun. How cool that you got the park to yourselves.
Bummer about forgetting the camera for BBB. At least you had the phone and PP. The girls are adorable in their princess dresses. Did they get a picture with Ally? Can't wait to see the PPP pics.:goodvibes

Leanne, I love the pics from BBB! When Lauren is a little bit older we are definately going to do that!

What nice gifts you had waiting for you! The Mickey and Minnie are so cute! The Disney bag is awesome too!

Leanne -- I believe we paid right around $150 for 2 adults and 1 child. Since the baby was only 13 months, we didn't have to pay for her. And, to tell the truth, I thought it was worth every penny! There are some things that you do that you just keep thinking "I'm paying how much for this?" (or maybe that's just the cheapskate in me lol) but I didn't feel that at all for the cruise.

Yep, I keep thinking that maybe we should have had the kids a little closer together, but I don't know if I could have handled 2 really little ones at the same time. :scared1:
I know what you mean, wondering "I paid how much for this?? :confused3". I'm glad you had a good feeling about the cruise. The prices seems pretty reasonable to me too.

I know for certain that two kids in diapers would not have worked for me. There are good things and bad things about having them spaced out. I keep reminding myself that I will have one child in college at a time, one child in high school at a time, etc. Those will be the perks. The oldest child not understanding that a toddler and a tween are expected to act differently....well that's not so hot.

Hi Barbara! Welcome to my TR!! :welcome:

The room at AKL was fantastic and we loved meeting up with new and old friends. :goodvibes

My July trip is around the corner and I haven't done much beyond making dinner ressies. :scared1: I really need to get my plan together. I just found out that a good friend I work with and my best friend from childhood are going to be down at the same time, so this trip is going to be so exciting for those reasons as well. You know it's so funny, whenever I meet a DISer I get so excited about talking to them that I completely space out and don't even think about getting pictures. I've done this a couple of times now, you'd think it would be at the top of my list. :confused3:laughing:

Thanks Alicia! I'm sure Lauren will love it as much as she likes to dress up.

The gifts were so awesome. Makes me teary to have so many great friends! :goodvibes

So when I left off we had just met up with Joe and were making our way over to CRT. We parked the stroller and with no one waiting I checked us in. We went inside and got in line for our pics with Cinderella.

I took a pic of this as we were entering...

Before too long it was our turn to get our picture with Cinderella. We got some autographs and the PP photographer took our picture.

Here's the pic the PP took and we received while eating. Don't mind me, I'm trying to hide my backpack ...
IMG_0386.jpg

After our pic we immediately went up stairs and we were seated in a great location. We weren't right next to the window but close enough...check it out.

Within minutes we were greeted by our waiter Don. Funny, he was our waiter last year! Don took our drink orders and then we had our first wishing star ceremony. Here's the girls with their wands (they were slightly different this year. ).

Josie is trying to wink at me...

IMG_4647.jpg

As soon as the wishing star ceremony ended we started meeting princesses. First to our table was Snow White and she made such a big deal over Lindsey being dressed like her. Look at this..

IMG_4653.jpg

We had Snow sign Lindsey's BBB folder as a special souvinier for later down the road. Here is a pic...if you look at the left side you will see where she signed it. This is also a sneak peek of some of our BBB pics.

Next we met Princess Aurora...

Then Ariel came around...

Finally Josie agreed to get up and get in a pic when Belle came around...
IMG_4666.jpg

After meeting the princesses Don brought Joe out his cupcake. Don had us sing Happy Birthday to "King Daddy"-and you all know that Joe really ate up being called "KING" right...I heard that for a good 2 or 3 days. :rolleyes1

IMG_4668.jpg

Right before we left, Joe decided to take a picture of the girls inside the castle. The first one is normal little girls and the second one is Josie with what she calls her "crazy eyes".

The food here was pretty good. There was eggs, bacon, sausage, and hashbrowns and all of it was pretty good. Disney bacon leaves a little to be desired but overall everyone enjoyed their meals and had plenty to eat.

Next we decided to catch a couple of rides. We headed to Fantasyland to check out what the ride times were. Peter Pan and Pooh were already at 30 minutes each so we said we'd wait for those and we jumped on "it's a small world". Like always the girls loved it. Next we made our way over to the Haunted Mansion. We walked right onto it! While we were riding it stopped twice. I thought Josie might get scared but she didn't she just kept pointing out all the neat stuff going on around us. As we were exiting, I decided to check out what the wait looked like for Tiana and Naveen.

When we got there only 4 families were in line so we quickly jumped in behind them. As soon as we got in line the CM took a rope and put it behind us. Family after family kept coming up and the CM was telling them that we were the last family for that round. They could come back at 12:15 if they would like to meet Tiana and Naveen. I couldn't believe how nasty people were with her. It was so eyeopening. I really felt sorry for this lady because she had to listen to a lot of hoodoo.

Before we knew it we were next in line. Josie was so excited! I took this of her and Joe while they sat on the wall waiting for our turn...

Here's the "I'm up next" photo...
IMG_4670.jpg

I have to say upfront that this was probably THE BEST character interaction we had of the trip. Tiana and Naveen spent at least 10 minutes with the girls and Tiana just went crazy over Josie. Here are some pics of our experience.

IMG_4677.jpg

Tiana also signed Josie's BBB folder. She did a great job with it..

oh and here's the sneak peek of PP pics...

That's all I can fit into this installment but I promise to have more on the way! I'm determined to get this finished before we head out in July.
Up Next: Josie's first roller coaster ride!!

The girls are simply adorable. I know. I know. I always say that but I always mean it.

We have never eaten at CRT for any meal and now that Hunter is older, I am pretty sure that we won't be eating there any time soon. That is, unless he wants to go all teenager boy on me and go there so he can eye all the pretty princesses.

Glad to hear that the girls handled the stopping and starting on the Haunted Mansion well. It's done that with us before. I've read that it stops in order to let handicapped people get on and then it restarts again. I don't know if it's true but that's what I've read.

I'm always baffled by guests who get all huffy when they're told a character is leaving for a break and that they'll have to come back later. I bet those same people would protest if they didn't get their break while at work. I feel sorry for the poor kids having to hear/see their parents act that way.

I've been meaning to tell you that John and I both commented on how Joe looks like one of our friends. I wish I had a picture of our friend that I could post.

I know I am late joining the party, but I finally made it :rolleyes1. I have to go back and catch up on most everything, but I do have to say the girl's BBB pictures are so pretty. I'm at work shhhhhhhhh so I will post more later.

Aww the pics are too cute with Tiana and Naveen. You have such beautiful girls and i'm looking forward to hearing more!

I love eating at CRT...I love the princesses....I love being in the castle:cloud9: The girls are so gorgeous in their beautiful dresses! Love how SW and Tiana made such a fuss over the girl's dresses....they will remember those moments forever. Jasmine remembers her first ever breakfast in the castle and that Belle hugged her so close for their picture and then gave her a big kiss on her cheek....she will still say"remember when I wouldn't wash off Belle's lipstick....priceless moments my friend:hug:

omg I love the BBB photos. It's awesome that they got them autographed like that!!! SOOO cute!!! Love that update!!

OMG Leanne! What a fantastic morning! I love that you have Snow White and Tiana sign the BBB folders. Great idea!!

Every time I see your girls all BBB'd up, I get so excited for our trip and Emily's BBB apppointment!! Lindsey and Josie are beautiful :cutie: and I don't care how long the line is, we HAVE to see Tiana & Naveen. I wish they would add Tiana to the character meals!

YAY! How funny that you had the SAME waiter at CRT that you had last year!! Did he remember you?! LOVE the idea of having the princess sign the BBB pic!! :thumbsup2 We LOVED the interaction with Tiana and Naveen as well!! They were sooo great with the girls!! LOVE the girls BBB pics!

So glad y'all enjoyed CRT! We loved our dinner there. I don't know what Mike would have done if they if they called him King.

How nice that Tiana took so much time with your daughters! I'm sure that made the experience even more special.

I love the picture of Josie holding her dress!

sounds like a great morning! great pictures of all! and especially "King Daddy" and his princess too sweet!

can't wait to hear about Josie and her first roller coaster ride!
:wave2: Connie

Loved your installment. My favorite picture is the one of the girls with Tatiana and Prince Naveen. So cute! It's fun to see how happy they are with the characters and how their doppelgangers made a big deal about being dressed alike :thumbsup2

I feel bad for the cast members who take grief from less than stellar visitors. Not enough pixie dust in the world for some people. That's when I thank my lucky stars for my DH and DSs. :goodvibes

Looking forward to more!

WOW!!! I love your BBB pics  The girls looked sooo happy!! We booked CRT for breakfast--your pics got me so excited! Cinderella was so beautiful. I just love the idea you had of getting the princesses to sign the pictures of the girls. I will have to use that one ;) Can't wait to hear about Josie's first roller coaster!!! Wahoo!

Did the older one every say things like "I wish I was a baby" when you first had your second? Isabella (my oldest) says that all the time and it drives me nuts!

I keep thinking that she just got to the point where she is a lot of fun to do things with and now she wants to be a baby again? I'm hoping she lets that go pretty soon. At least she doesn't act like a baby, she just says she wishes she was one.

All caught up on your great report! The GG on the Safari looks awesome and you're right - that lion picture is fabulous - even with the truck bouncing around!!

Love all the BBB pictures! My girls did it in February for the 3rd time and my smallest brought a Tiana costume from home to wear! I just love the shade of green - so pretty! Unfortunately we missed seeing Tiana and Naveen due to the enormous rain that day! :sad1: BBB and rain = not a good combo. The girls got cute hair nets to wear though!

Sara

Hi Leanne,
I'm all caught now on your updates. Sorry you forgot to get the camera From Joe before BBB. But at least you had your phone and the photopass pics are great I'm sure. The girls look so beautiful with their princess makeovers! I love all your pics from CRT too! We try to go every other trip at least. Great idea letting the princesses sign the girls picture folders. They didn't do those back when Kaylee got made over there. Looks like you got a lot done this morning, BBB, Fantasyland, CRT, and Princess Tiana. I can't wait to read more.
