for double digits!
My must do's in each parK
MK: For me all I need to do is walk down Main Street and I'm happy.
For my kids: Big Thunder Mountain.
Epcot: For me Soarin
For my kids: The Character Connection The Fab 5 with only one line
Animal Kingdom: For both me and kids the Safari
DHS: I don't really have any must dos though my favorite ride is Tower of Terror. I skip it a lot of trips though because the kids won't ride it and I don't want to make everyone wait.
For my kids: Toy Story Mania. (I wish this ride wasn't such a pain to get on.)
MK
1. Haunted Mansion
2. Pirates of the Caribbean
EP
1. Soarin'
2. Spaceship Earth
DS
1. Toy Story
2. Fantasmic
AK
1. Festival of the Lion King
2. Dinosaur
Okay - I cheated! Those are all mine - but I think my girls would concur! Maybe?
ToT is a strange ride because it's so random. Sometimes you drop a lot and it seems like your falling far. But other times, it seems like you drop 2 feet!
Horray for double digits. With the summer here now you will see it is going to fly by so fast.
As far as my ride/attraction pics:
MK
Me-COP (my favorite ride silly I know)
Kids- speedway
Epcot
Me-Soarin (although I missed this last trip I will not do that again)
Kids- Nemo
AK
Safari (both us and the kids)
HS
Me- Great movie ride (missed this last time too-never again)
Kids- TSM
I could have named a bunch it was hard to choose!
YAY for double digits!!!!!
I'll just list our must-do's for MK since we've only been to AK and Epcot once and only for 1 day each so we don't exactly have favorites yet... especially since there is so much we weren't able to do!!! It's an excuse to go back. This next trip we're only going for a day, though, so we'll only be at MK.
MK
My must-do: Pirates! This and Haunted Mansion are my absolute favorites. I'd say Pirates is #1, though.
DH's must-do: Cinderella's Royal Table! He hasn't been on the big rides because we just haven't taken advantage of the baby swap or anything yet. Maybe this next trip? But since the first time we ate at CRT, he just adores it. He loves the atmosphere and seeing Ashlyn interact with the princesses. Hmmm... it might be a not-to-miss thing for me, too.
Ashlyn's must-do: I'm guessing on this one since, well, she's 20 months old and can't exactly tell me. I don't think she'd remember anyway. She absolutely ADORES Mickey and Minnie right now so we cannot miss a meet-and-greet with them!
Hooray for double digits!!!
Let me think....
MK:
Me: Buzz Lightyear
Kids: Dumbo or Astro Orbiter (my 6 year old is "too old" for Dumbo)
Epcot:
Me: Soarin'
Kids: Nemo/Turtle Talk
HS:
All: Toy Story Mania
AK:
All: Safari
Amanda
UGH! Another hard one!OK...will give it a try.
MK: All of us: Peter Pan
Kids: Aladdin's Carpets
EPCOT: Adults: Spaceship Earth
Kids: Soarin (although we like it too--my DD LOVES it)
DHS: Adults: Great Movie Ride
Kids: Toy Story!
AK: Adults: EE!
Kids: Triceratop Spin
Hooray for double digits...with summer coming up, your trip is going to be here before you know it!
I am beginning to think of park touring plans. It is making me really prioritize what I feel is going to the most fun for my family. Heres a challenge for you all: for each park, name ONE ride/attraction/show you DO NOT miss. To make it a tad easier, you can do it one ride for yourself and one ride for your kiddos, for those of you with kids. So that is TWO attractions/rides/shows maximum for each park. Here is what I believe my list looks like:
MK
1. BTMRR, is my not-to-be-missed though Lilian will be going on it also since she is tall enough!
2. Meeting the Princesses, for Liliansomething she is talking about a lot right now.
EP
1. Soarin, my favorite!! (Lilian will be able to ride)
2. Nemo and Friends, Lilian
*Illuminations would be up on the list if I said more than one I had a hard time deciding between Soarin and Illuminations.
AK
1. Safari, for me
2. Boneyard, Lilian LOVES playgrounds (though she may really like the trails too)
DHS
1. Fantasmic, though I have never seen the show, it is my not-to-be-missed for DHS
2. Playhouse Disney Live on Stage, Lilian
*I had a hard time deciding between Playhouse Disney Live on Stage versus VOTLM they would be tied I think
Definitely not an easy task to narrow down to just a few things that are priorities in the parksat least not for me! I am really looking forward to reading your lists!
WE LEAVE FOR DISNEY IN 99 DAYS!!!!!
Anyone care to celebrate double digits with me?
Thanks for partying with me Jenny! I am looking forward to taking that stroll down Main Street again. Is the Character Connection the one for the Disney Visa holders in Innovations West?
Here are our favorites IF Mark could ride them all this trip (back surgery will prevent him from riding some favorites) and separate list of what we can do this trip:
MK -- No Surgery: 1) Big Thunder Mountain, 2) Splash Mountain; With Surgery: 1) Splash Mountain, 2) Pirates of the Caribbean
Hollywood Studios -- No Surgery: 1) Tower of Terror, 2) Rock & Roll Roller Coaster; With Surgery: 1) Toy Story Mania, 2) Great Movie Ride
Epcot -- No Surgery: 1) Mission (Mark only--I don't do this ride), Soarin; With Surgery: 1) Soarin', Spaceship Earth
Animal Kingdom -- No Surgery: 1) Expedition Everest, 2) Dinosaur
I'm not listing what we could do with the surgery because we'll be skipping AK this trip.
You indicated Lilian loves playgrounds. She will LOVE the playground at the Coronado -- it is spectacular
We're not quite at double digits yet -- still at 106 days -- but we're getting closer.
I think it's actually called the Character Spot. It is on the right side of Future World. You pass it on the way to Soarin. It is for everyone (not just Visa holders) and it's my kids favorite place to meet the characters. The line is in the air conditioning and they show classic cartoons while you wait. You then get to visit with all of the five fab (individually, not at the same time). It's a great meet 'n greet.
Hurray for double digits!! I need to break out my calendar and do the math for us- Iknow we passed 120 days recently so I need to make sure we don't miss our 100 day mark!
As for your question, I've only been to MK but I'll throw out what I'm most looking forward to for the other parks.
MK: Splash for me- I loved this ride and can't wait to experience it with the kids!
I think the kids will enjoy Splash but since I get to pick two I'm going to throw out Peter Pan as well!
EP: World showcase for me- if you want that narrowed down I think Japan is one I'm most looking forward to because I will most likely never see the real thing.
I think the kids are going to love Innoventions!
DHS: TSM!!! And ds is very excited about JTA
AK: I think we're all excited about the safari!
for double digits!!!
Hmm, you ask a hard question. Here are mine:
MK - I would have to say Haunted Mansion, but that it is because it's Joe's fav, not mine.
Epcot Future World - SSE
Epcot World Showcase - Maelstrom
Did I cheat because I named two at Epcot?
DAK - Kilimanjaro Safari
DHS - TSMM
Thanks for responding Amanda! Buzz, really? I have read a lot of people are not liking it now that TSM is out.
I still love Buzz. I know it's crazy. We 1st discovered Buzz at Disneyland a few years ago and I was addicted. My kids are starting to love Splash Mountain. After this trip that may become the family fav!
Amanda
