wind blowin',sun shinin',Soarin'on a magical celebration!April/10: Final thoughts!

Oooh! Right off the bat you got to see some characters!!! Yay!! I kept planning to go into that bakery and we never made it in there;( We also never made it to rope drop.

Yay! So excited to read your TR! I’m sooo glad you got everything you requested at POP! It makes the vacation a whole lot more enjoyable when you get what you requested! Ashton is too cute!! But sooo sad he hurt his head!!!!!!!! But I’m so glad he was ok…and he acted like a big boy! So cute!

Awww no food porn?? Hehe, it’s ok!! Yay for going to buy tickets but boo for getting lost!! At least they were able to add the water park and other options to their tickets and at least it was worth it at Disney Quest!

I was surprised about the pool being open 24 hours also!! Here where I work, the pool is only open 830am-630 pm! So I was really happy to know their pools were 24 hours! Woohooo!!

Awwww too bad you couldn’t resort hop!! I learned on this trip that it’s soo much fun! It’s also great to scope out other resorts for the next trip! OOoooohh EoS!!!!! I’ve never had it before but I’m craving to go back!! And we don’t have it here in Hawaii!! :sad2:

Great pics of rope drop! You have to wait for my TR to see if we caught an MK RD!! Great pic with Pluto and the castle in the background!! And super cute pics with chip and dale!!

Can’t wait to hear more!!

p.s. so sorry to hear about your dear friend Ginny. I never knew her but she sounds like such a great person! My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go to her family & loved ones!!
Glad you found me! I can't wait to hear all about your trip! We do not have an EoS here either...
I'm glad to hear you were able to get to MK to see RD. We really like it. Sam flips when he sees the train pull in. Yall sure did get some characters in that morning. I have never stopped at the bakery. I am always trying to get to my first attraction. Might have to stop there one day for a snack.

What a lovely tribute to Ginny. I'm sure she will be missed.
I had read on another TR where they stopped at the bakery on the way out and picked up rolls for the morning...I thought that was a great idea but again my parents were running out of the park when we left the last night and we had planned to return on Sunday but well you'll have to wait to see what happened...but next time-yum!
Hey Connie! I've found your TR - I'm a little behind but I'm going back to catch up now! I can't wait to read all about your trip. popcorn::
Welcome over Courtney!
Hi Connie! I just found your TR and had to read it from start to finish, even though I have to be up for work at 4AM tomorrow! Can't wait to hear more details! I'll be starting a TR soon!

I'm very sorry to hear about your friend Ginny. Your dedication to her is beautiful and I'm sure she will be missed by many!

Jen
Hey! Jen welcome over!!! can't wait to travel along with you...
Loving the report so far Connie! Great pics of the MK rope drop, and the ones of Ashton hugging the characters were adorable! Interested to see where you guys headed first! :)
Hey! Alicia welcome over! started reading your report last night...loving your pictures! and
coming up...where did we start!
Oooh! Right off the bat you got to see some characters!!! Yay!! I kept planning to go into that bakery and we never made it in there;( We also never made it to rope drop.

Hey Chris! we have yet to make it to the bakery too! it looked and smelled soooo good! can't wait to hear all about your trip!

I left off with us just meeting up with my parents...where did we start?!?
Tomorrowland of course...we always start this way :confused3...as long as I can remember we always go to the right!

:WARNING WARNING! I'm sharing these next few pictures but they are really bad (of me, of course) I have very very thin hair and boy when I seen the pictures I realized how much weight I have gained--but, it was very windy and the sun was directly in our eyes...can you say major diet time...Danny and I came home and I have been cooking healthier but I really need to drink water and exercise (I know it but can't get motivated to "just do it"!...back to the report...

don't know why I don't have a picture of my parents here...I know I have photopass photos will have to add after I receive our photopass...
when Dayne seen these pictures he said why don't we have any family shots...well we all have to be together for that to happen :rotfl2: he could never seem to make it to any of the parks at the same time as the rest of us!

wouldn't this make a great spot for a wedding or gathering of any sort

this is the view of the castle you would have

As we were walking pass Monster's Laughing Floor I told Danny call back my parents and let's start here...he looks at me and says its not open yet lets come back...now I know it was open and there were two CM's standing at the opening...I really think he just did not want to go there...
they decided to skip Stitch, too (I never do that attraction not crazy about the thought of being in the dark with an alien breathing on me) so where do we start?!? ...

.... Buzz Lightyear of course...with only a 5 min wait :yay:

now we did not Carousel of Progess last year (it was either closed or we just skipped it...we were walking past it and my dad said what is this seems I remember it but not quite...and well there were seating with no wait ...so here we go (I had not ridden this since 2001 so it really was time to ride it again --or sit through it...)
disneyI144.jpg

not sure what this was about?!?
disneyI145.jpg

Ashton really did well on this; it seemed to hold his attention...Danny and my dad both napped! :lmao:
so sit back and ride along with us..."It's a great big beautiful tomorrow"

now that we have rested from our hard start...moving on...

Now, we are in Tomorrowland...where to next...the People mover of course (this was closed last year--so we had to take Joe on it...and I'm one of those people who have no clue why...but, I just love this ride (especially in the summer months)

from here Gwendolyn, Joe, and Danny went to ride Space Mountain (I don't know why I didn't go--I normally like SM) but, instead my parents and Ashton and I went to the restroom (probably why I did not go with them)..
it was about 10:30 and I was starving, my mom takes alot of medication and really needed to eat (she did not eat breakfast either)...well cosmic rays was just opening so off e went...
well, only station 1 and 2 were open so our choice was roasted chicken and/or ribs OR hamburgers...
Ashton & I shared a 1/2 roasted chicken w/mashed potatoes and green beans and an order of fries for Ashton to munch...
my parents ordered each a dbl cheese burger and missed the toppings isle :headache:...
this is when my dad sees what he is going to search for and eat the rest of his trip *ROASTED CHICKEN* :lmao:
Gwendolyn, Joe and Danny joined us (we were finished eating but sat and waited with them)...Gwendolyn and Joe shared a burger and Danny had his own along with all the fixings (needless to say Dad was upset with himself for not seeing it)..
after a full tummy waiting to move on...
disneyI159.jpg

.Dayne and Luke met up with us as we were leaving Cosmic Rays (they had eaten left over pizza from the night before--I really am happy those two did not get sick--they ate room temp pizza that was out all night--ewe!)

up next Fantasyland!

The roasted chicken sounds great...even if that was all your dad had the entire trip :lmao:

We love the TTA as well. So lucky that you had a 5 minute wait on Buzz!! Can't wait to hear more popcorn::

Great update (and you look fine!). We love the Wedway People Mover (that is what it will always be to us); Mark and I ride it a couple of times a trip...it is a good way to get off your feet, rest and just enjoy the view (although I hear the new narrative is not very good).

Great start! Sorry about Ginny. :( I vote for Hawaii for your anniversary. We were going to go there for our 5th but had Madeline. Now we'er hoping to go for our 10th ;)

Madeline loves the carousel of progress. I think we rode it 3 times in Feb.

Hi there- I am signing on! We were there around the same time- we were actually at MK on Sunday. Did you guys make out ok in the storm?????

Great start and I totally feel ya on keeping everyone happy. It is not an easy task- even with a party of 3! Trust me. also by nature ( I am a Libra) I am always trying to balance the scales and keep the peace, so hot days and crowds do not make that any easier!

:welcome: to my TR! andrews1ma  well about the rain will have to let you know in an upcoming update...don't want to spoil it... :rolleyes1
I tried to go over to yours and the link is not connecting...will try again later
need to go cook dinner at the moment!

you caught on to the chicken thingy for as pickey as he is, I can't believe that is what he decided he was going to eat, chicken just about the entire trip (maybe when he went through radiation this past year his tastebuds changed :confused3 ) When we first arrived at MK I guess everyone headed off to Adventureland to start; we did not really meet up with crowds until Peter Pan at the end of Fantasyland....

I love your Tommorowland pictures. I just love it over there. It's so cool!!! Can't wait to hear about Fantasyland
We really enjoy Tomorrowland and Fantasyland and Frontierland, and Adventureland...:upsidedow --I'm trying to figure out when I can go again so I can do it all!

Great update (and you look fine!). We love the Wedway People Mover (that is what it will always be to us); Mark and I ride it a couple of times a trip...it is a good way to get off your feet, rest and just enjoy the view (although I hear the new narrative is not very good).
no the narraive is not as good as the one in the past; but to be honest I don't really listen to much of it anyway...I just try to enjoy the view and sights...

:woohoo: for meeting up some great characters right at the start of the day!!

I am sorry to hear about Ginny :sad1: What an amazing tribute/note you wrote about her!!

Happy Mother's Day!! I did not get on DIS so I missed wishing it to you on the actual day. :goodvibes:

Ewe--you need to work on Dayne not eating pizza out all night :rotfl: I see many of those nights/days at college next fall...

I have to say it is funny about the Roasted Chicken. I sure hope he succeeded. :lmao: We had roasted chicken tonight for dinner :thumbsup2

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!! Great update!! I just love Carousel of Progress!! And I'm excited to ride the TTA this year after missing it last year!

Tomorrowland! I love Tomorrowland!

It's been several years since we've been in Carrousel of Progress. Seeing your pictures makes me wanna go back.

Add me to the list of "I don't know why but I like the TTA" people. It's a nice and relaxing way to see Tomorrowland.

Glad to hear that your Dad found something he liked to eat.:thumbsup2

I finally got all caught up! You are off to a great start. Bella LOVED CoP for some strange reason...she had to ride it twice! :lmao:

Sorry to hear about your friend.

Great update Connie, I STILL have not made it to the magical opening of the Magic Kingdom! WE tried this trip but missed out by about 10 minutes or so! I am so sorry to hear about your friend Ginny. Your post was a beautiful sentiment.
