wind blowin',sun shinin',Soarin'on a magical celebration!April/10: Final thoughts!

Yay! So excited to read your TR! I’m sooo glad you got everything you requested at POP! It makes the vacation a whole lot more enjoyable when you get what you requested! Ashton is too cute!! But sooo sad he hurt his head!!!!!!!! But I’m so glad he was ok…and he acted like a big boy! So cute!

Awww no food porn?? Hehe, it’s ok!! Yay for going to buy tickets but boo for getting lost!! At least they were able to add the water park and other options to their tickets and at least it was worth it at Disney Quest!

I was surprised about the pool being open 24 hours also!! Here where I work, the pool is only open 830am-630 pm! So I was really happy to know their pools were 24 hours! Woohooo!!

Awwww too bad you couldn’t resort hop!! I learned on this trip that it’s soo much fun! It’s also great to scope out other resorts for the next trip! OOoooohh EoS!!!!! I’ve never had it before but I’m craving to go back!! And we don’t have it here in Hawaii!! :sad2:

Great pics of rope drop! You have to wait for my TR to see if we caught an MK RD!! Great pic with Pluto and the castle in the background!! And super cute pics with chip and dale!!

Can’t wait to hear more!!

p.s. so sorry to hear about your dear friend Ginny. I never knew her but she sounds like such a great person! My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go to her family & loved ones!!

I'm glad to hear you were able to get to MK to see RD. We really like it. Sam flips when he sees the train pull in. Yall sure did get some characters in that morning. I have never stopped at the bakery. I am always trying to get to my first attraction. Might have to stop there one day for a snack.

What a lovely tribute to Ginny. I'm sure she will be missed.

Next year is Danny and I's 25th anniversary!
we were talking earlier today about next year...
Hawaii
Yellowstone
Las Vegas
Key West

considering we had orginally planned for Hawaii our 20th and had Ashton and a new hip instead; I'm leaning that way...
any one have any thing to share on any of the places listed...

TIA!
Connie

BTW: I am also trying to convince him he needs to go to a Nascar race next spring--so, Ashton and I can go to ?!?

Walt Disney World! I think that is going to be great tradeoff...don't you?!?:rolleyes1

Hey Connie! I've found your TR - I'm a little behind but I'm going back to catch up now! I can't wait to read all about your trip. popcorn::

Hey, Connie. Well, Mark and I celebrated our 25th at...you'll never guess....Disney World. :lmao:

We honeymooned in Hawaii and it was beautiful...but also very expensive (and even more so now). But I think everyone should do it once.

Have never been to Yellowstone (not something I'm especially interested in) or Key West (we've done Orlando, Tampa, Daytona Beach, St. Petersburg and Marco Island).

We've been to Vegas numerous times, but I'm not sure that is where I'd want to spend a 25th anniversary, unless you did it as a two part trip with another destination. Mark goes to Vegas twice a year on business and I used to always go with him in August. The problem is he goes for eight days and that is just too long to be in Vegas. It's 108 in the shade and although a dry heat, it's still HOT! Plus, I can only lay by the pool so much and shop so much (especially when I don't want to spend a lot of money). A three or four day trip would be more than enough.

Hi Connie! I just found your TR and had to read it from start to finish, even though I have to be up for work at 4AM tomorrow! Can't wait to hear more details! I'll be starting a TR soon!

I'm very sorry to hear about your friend Ginny. Your dedication to her is beautiful and I'm sure she will be missed by many!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
TO ALL MY WONDERFUL FRIENDS!
WISHING YOU EACH A WONDERFUL RELAXING DAY SPENT WITH THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE!

Happy Mother's Day, Connie!
Have a great day with your family!

Happy Mothers day!

If you do Vegas, you could spend 2-3 days there and then drive over to California and hit DL for a couple of days. I really want to go to DL someday, But Skip says the plane ride is too long. It will happen someday though.

I like your Spring idea. I actually have thought about telling Skip if we go in Ded. thant he can come for 3-4 days (thats enough for him) and Claire and I will stay the full 7 days and then come home. I would love it, but I think Claire would miss her daddy. I would miss him too, but I think we could do some things together and it would be special. Plus we could stay longer with out Skip worrying about what is going on at home.
I really need to just win the lottery and then all my trip troubles would be taken care of. LOL!

Connie,
I hope you had a great Mother's Day today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to say that I am so sorry about Ginny.... you wrote such a nice tribute for her. So sad!

Loving the report so far Connie! Great pics of the MK rope drop, and the ones of Ashton hugging the characters were adorable! Interested to see where you guys headed first! :)

I would like to take a moment to remember a beautiful lady I met here on the Dis!

Ginny (aaaateamsgrandma) we met here last year after my return from WDW (we were there at the same time--we were even sitting in the stands together in a major rain and lighting storm for Fantasmic).

She became a wonderful friend to many! We could talk with her about ANYTHING! we talked on the phone reguarly! I remember for my birthday she surprised me with a phone call and I had not even realized I had listed my phone number (on FB). We had talked so often about meeting one another that I just felt like it was a given and would happen with in the next year.

Right after Christmas she was diagnosed w/ lukemia; this was to be an easy fight for her...two years before she beat a rare form of thyroid cancer.

I am sad to say that last night she lost her battle.

I know that she is no longer in pain and sitting w/the Lord looking down w/the great big smile that she always shared. (Even without seeing her face you could hear it in her voice and words)...

she lived for her two girls and her grandchildren! and quickly adopted many of our children...

I would like to dedicate this trip report in her memory:littleangel:...the last thing we shared was a comment she left on FB about how happy Ashton appeared and how she had liked his new haircut!:lovestruc (I had posted a few pictures while we were in WDW)
she enjoyed traveling with each of us and sharing in our everday lives!:flower3:

You stated that perfectly. I know I will miss Ginny terribly, too.
