Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Well, it's Sunday evening again. How'd that happen?:confused3

I'm starting to get things organized for our trip. I know I should start some of the easier packing but it's weirdly disorganized here. NotBob's leaving for a 3 day trip to Boston for work on Tues. I really need to get my hair cut/colored!

Nothing exciting to report. I'm really glad Dawn's home!

Jo: Your Nanny looks GREAT! The girls are so pretty!
Angela: your earlier post made me sad. I'm sorry you have to be without Mitch. Please call (or visit!!!) anytime! :hug:
Rosie: Dont know when our next trip to Disney will be but I just booked a trip home to MA...
T: You're out rocking those cookie sales! You go girl!

Gotta go watch a movie w/ NB....
Mel:banana:

Damn! You found us! ;)
:lmao: That's what I as going to say! :lmao:

Mitch is on the phone with the pharmacist he'll be replacing. Makes it a little more real that he's actually going. :sad2:
:guilty: :hug:

Here is a photo of my 90 y/o Nanny and the girls, personally I don't think she looks that age, what do you think?

She does need one of these though which Ellie had great fun with :rotfl:

Your nanny is so cute! :cutie: And, OMGee... Ellie looks so much older than last time I saw her! :eek: Luv her shoes, too! :lovestruc

Nothing exciting to report. I'm really glad Dawn's home!
Have I told you lately that I wuv you? :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

We usually do 2 weeks at a time but in the interest of not going back to the grocery store (sans a run for eggs, bread and/or milk) we figure we can save more money this way, and have the food budget for the month be done.
Does your grocery do weekly ads? I recently started shopping using the weekly ads. I plan the meals for the week (b/c our ad specials run 7 days) using the ad specials. Whatever is on sale this week is what we're having for dinner. My bill has dropped down to $80-$90 per week and that's for a family of 6. :thumbsup2

Yea, girls! :cool1: Good luck today. Do you have any Samoas left I can buy?
For you, of course! :goodvibes Just tell me how many and I'll get them out, asap.

Mitch is on the phone with the pharmacist he'll be replacing. Makes it a little more real that he's actually going. :sad2:
:hug:
That's not too bad. They schedule a bunch for the cub scouts when its popcorn time but we only have to do one. They have them set up at 6 or 7 different spots though.
When's popcorn time? I loved that micro popcorn! It's the bomb diggity! :thumbsup2

Well done, what percentage do you get to keep?
We get $.75 for every box, plus incentives.

Here is a photo of my 90 y/o Nanny and the girls, personally I don't think she looks that age, what do you think?

Wow, your Nanny looks great, Jo. The girls look gorgeous... they're getting so grown up. David's going to have his hands full real soon! :lmao:

I'm starting to get things organized for our trip.
FINALLY! :faint:

:lmao: That's what I as going to say! :lmao:
It's great to be a smart ***, isn't it? :rotfl2:

Well, another cookie booth done. Today we did twice as much as yesterday! :faint: My girls are just too adorable for people to say no! :cutie:

Came home and made yummy homemade pizzas. I did 2 pepperoni and 1 pepp/sausage and 1 carmelized onion, pear and goat cheese.... OMG, that one was fabulous! I have to make that again.

Not much else going on....going back to the gym tomorrow... I'm getting the worse case of muffin top with all these darn cookies around! :laughing:

Peace! :hippie:

Forgot say too, if I have your email watch what you open from me. Apparently my hotmail account was hacked and they are sending out spam from my account :-:-)mad:

Come to gmail, they have cookies, or at least no hacks.

Good luck, are you going for security jobs or anything? What about working in a book shop or library you'd be ideal :thumbsup2

I have tried a few books tores and applied at the NY and Brooklyn public libraries! I would LOVE a job like that. I may have a lead on a security job in my FIL's building, we'll see. Oh and Nanny looks great, and the girls look so much more grown up!

I do much the same. We actually went to 2 supermarkets and target for food this time, to get the best deals on everything. It's a bit daunting doing the whole month so I think we may come up a bit short. More or less I just want more ideas of different stuff because we eat the same stuff over and over.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This has been the LONGEST day! We went to our friend's daughter's 1st birthday party. It was in a club, like booming music club. They have a monthly thing for kids called the "Little Club Heads". There was a neat private VIP type area for us to sit and eat. There were face painters and clowns and even someone dressed as Elmo.
It was crazy, and loud. KC has a serious phobia of clowns so that was an issue all day, esp. because he was video taping the whole thing. We came out with headaches but it was fun. The cake was twice as big as our wedding cake.
Then we went to Target and Pathmark and finally got home around 7 this evening and I feel asleep for almost an hour. I'm still tired tho, which is good.
Tomorrow it's back to reality and trying to get myself a j-o-b. KC is pretty sure that the new job is a serious possibility, our friend is even writing him a letter of recommendation. He deserves this, I really hope he gets it.
Good Morning All!! March 1st !!! Where is the year going !!!!
Jo the girls are looking sooo grown up!!! Nanny looks sweet !!!
Kat good luck with the Job Hunting !!!
Have I told you lately that I wuv you? :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc
No. And you should. You should tell me at least 3 times a day.
Came home and made yummy homemade pizzas. I did 2 pepperoni and 1 pepp/sausage and 1 carmelized onion, pear and goat cheese.... OMG, that one was fabulous! I have to make that again.
OMG...that last one sounds YUMMMMMMY!!! Did you use fresh pear? Or canned?
That is insane. How can a 1 year old even appreciate that?
Hi Rosie!
**************************************************
Hello!
I'm awake. And that's all I have to say about that...*Forrest Gump.
Today is a home day. I will hit the gym after school with the boys. It's so cold outside. I have absolutely NO drive to go in the morning. Brrrrr...
Hope you are all having a good day!
Mel:banana:
What a great picture. :goodvibes
Reid likes to play with my grandmother's walker too. :rotfl2:
Angela: your earlier post made me sad. I'm sorry you have to be without Mitch. Please call (or visit!!!) anytime! :hug:
:hug: Thanks, Mel.
For you, of course! :goodvibes Just tell me how many and I'll get them out, asap.
2. Thanks! :goodvibes Mitch loves those, but I didn't think he'd be here, so I didn't order. :thumbsup2 Can I give you a CC# or I'll send you a check.
I have tried a few books tores and applied at the NY and Brooklyn public libraries! I would LOVE a job like that.
I would too! A friend of my mother's got divorced and took a part time job at a bookstore. After she got a full time job, she kept working at the bookstore because she loves it so much. :goodvibes Good luck.
We went to our friend's daughter's 1st birthday party. It was in a club, like booming music club. They have a monthly thing for kids called the "Little Club Heads".
Interesting party for a one year old.
KC is pretty sure that the new job is a serious possibility, our friend is even writing him a letter of recommendation. He deserves this, I really hope he gets it.
I missed that KC was looking for a new job too. Good luck to him. :thumbsup2
I can't get past the skeery clowns part. :scared1:
I'm so ready for warmer weather too. :rolleyes:
I don't even know how to respond to that! :headache: :lmao:
Okay, kids are yet again back to school - having 2 snow days last week. This week looks much much better. :banana: Yeah, that's all I got.
Oh, and who didn't love the Giant Inflatable Beavers last night?
What will I watch when the Olympics are over? :confused:
Um, Spring Training is starting! Don't they put any of the games on TV down there? Gooooooooooooooo Phillies:woohoo:
Here is a photo of my 90 y/o Nanny and the girls, personally I don't think she looks that age, what do you think?
Meats I try to get monthly, because it seems our store does a massive meat sale once a month:confused3 They will have what they call the 4 for $19.99 deal. 4 packages of meat for $19.99! I can usually get boneless chicken, steaks, chops, ground meata. It's a pretty good deal. About a month ago they had a deal on pork. We got a pork roast (that I made BBQ pork sandwiches with), A dozen pork chops (the thick ones that I usually stuff), and 10 country ribs (meat on bone, that I know you don't do ;)) for $12.00:thumbsup2 Sometimes when I see the sale paper, even if we aren't planning amajor shope, if they have a good sale on something that I know we will use I will pick it up
Me too!
Dawn - I thought I quoted you???? Weird Dis. ANyway how was the dance comp this weekend?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Good morning. And it is a good morning, because it is NOT snowing and their is no snow in the 10 day forecast:yay::yay::yay:
Work and school for eveyone today. Tomorrow I have to go see the eye specialist, so I am off from work for that. Other than that, not much planned for the week on this end.
Hope you are all having a lvoerly Monday:hug:
Your Nanny looks great for 90. The girls are cute.
Thanks :goodvibes
My cat attacked my foot while I was sleeping last night. I disturbed him when I rolled over and now have a nasty bruise on the top of my foot. He's lucky I like him :rotfl2:
:rotfl2:
Nanny looks good but I'm too consumed looking at all those wine bottles. :rolleyes1
Too funny :rotfl:
Jo: Your Nanny looks GREAT! The girls are so pretty!
Thanks Mel and how'd the hair cut go?
Your nanny is so cute! :cutie: And, OMGee... Ellie looks so much older than last time I saw her! :eek: Luv her shoes, too! :lovestruc
Thanks, she is a sweetie and Ellie's shoes were given to her by her BFF, they're rather high :rotfl2:
Wow, your Nanny looks great, Jo. The girls look gorgeous... they're getting so grown up. David's going to have his hands full real soon! :lmao:
Luckily Jess is a very good girl and I'm still trying to train Ells :rotfl2:
Came home and made yummy homemade pizzas. I did 2 pepperoni and 1 pepp/sausage and 1 carmelized onion, pear and goat cheese.... OMG, that one was fabulous! I have to make that again.
Sound lovely and is it wrong that when you posted about muffins I thought yum :rotfl:
Keep trying Kat as you'd be great and thanks about the girls. Also wow that was some 1st party, what will they do next year? :rotfl2:
Jo the girls are looking sooo grown up!!! Nanny looks sweet !!!
Thanks :goodvibes
Reid likes to play with my grandmother's walker too. :rotfl2:
Walker sounds better than what we call them - zimmerframes :rotfl2:
Oh, and who didn't love the Giant Inflatable Beavers last night?
Olympics????? :rotfl2:
It is gorgeous here today, the sun is shining the sky is blue it's wonderful :thumbsup2 D and I went and played some golf, we then nipped to the supermarket and in about 10 minutes I need to go and collect Jess from school to take her to the hospital where she has an appointment with a specialist about her knee. Does this sound bad that I actually want them to find something wrong as she is always in pain and I want the answer!!!
I'm glad you're having fun, CE. After watching all the skiing on the Olympics, I think I want to try, and then I remember the weather. :rolleyes1 I did try once, and it didn't go well, but that was a long time ago.;)
It was fun, and no one got hurt... ;)
I'm slightly windswept, OMG I played golf today and I could hardly stand up straight as the wind was so strong.
I have no idea what day this was, but we had horrible winds here whilst we were gone - more on that below...
She really shouldn't be by herself.
I'm sorry. :hug:
Oh my - I haven't been around in a while. When and how did CE become a mod?
Good to see you, Mary! :) It was kind of a fluke - I only can do anything "moderatory" :rotfl: on the TR boards.
Stop by more often! :goodvibes
Hey CE are we the longest running thread out there !!!?????
No idea, Rosie... ;)
Hello???? :wave2:
S'late!!!!! :cool1:
Mitch is on the phone with the pharmacist he'll be replacing. Makes it a little more real that he's actually going. :sad2:
Oh, honey. :hug:
Here is a photo of my 90 y/o Nanny and the girls, personally I don't think she looks that age, what do you think?
She and the girls look great! My Nan uses a walker, too. ;)
Came home and made yummy homemade pizzas. I did 2 pepperoni and 1 pepp/sausage and 1 carmelized onion, pear and goat cheese.... OMG, that one was fabulous! I have to make that again.
Sounds fantastic!
KC is pretty sure that the new job is a serious possibility, our friend is even writing him a letter of recommendation. He deserves this, I really hope he gets it.
I missed what it is, but good luck to him! :goodvibes
Good morning. And it is a good morning, because it is NOT snowing and their is no snow in the 10 day forecast
No, I totally understand. It's always better to KNOW what you're dealing with (and know she's not crazy...) than to have to wonder continually. :hug:
*************************************************
I imagine I'm nearing the smiley limit, so I'll continue next post...
I read everything, but was fairly selective with the quotes as there was so much. Everyone I didn't quote, hi! :wave2:
Sam, I agree with the others - D would honestly have been happy to not be included. He cared about the music and the food, but the table settings, pictures, etc. - not at all. ;)
Jo, I thought I had quoted your "how did I hack?" question - the router was out in plain sight, so we hooked up the ethernet cord and I was able to get to the router set-up page. The old password was invisible with those dots, so I just reset it. :thumbsup2
I e-mailed the guy yesterday and he's happy. :thumbsup2
*******************************************************
So, we skied a half day on Friday. Mom had sent an e-mail that my Nan has really more or less decided to just let things go on her food. It made me cry, as my poor mom is saying, "I think it's going to be long and hard to wait for her to just waste away." What an awful thought. :sad1:
So, that was happy... :rolleyes:
Then, after we got back from skiing, I got a call from Tara, wondering if I'd heard from anyone in my neighborhood. We apparently down here had hurricane force winds (though, luckily, rain and not snow) and tons of wires were down, 300,000 without power, etc. So, I called my neighbor and yes, we had no power. A tree came down from between our two houses, but thankfully landed on her front lawn and not the house. :scared1: It pulled the wires down to her house, but they didn't snap, so she did get power back when we all did on Saturday morning.
Still, when we got home, there were tons of big branches all over the place. And, we had to do a detour to get to our house - and crews still worked all day yesterday, so there is no school today as the buses would be really hard-pressed to run their routes and there are still something like 2500 houses in our town without power. :confused3
So, yesterday was just a kind of catch up day - picked up the dog from the kennel, went grocery shopping (thankfully the fridge was pretty empty, as we were without power for 36 hours) and so forth. The call came about 6:30 that there'd be no school. I can't be too upset as when we picked up the dog at 4:00, the detour was still in place right by the house, so our bus certainly would have had issues...
I imagine I still have tennis today. D has decided to stay home, though I could take the boys to the gym with me. He'll have to go to the office tomorrow, then he leaves Wed. for a week of training.
So... Sorry about the book! :rotfl: Missed you guys! I need to get myself moving - I can't say I was sorry about a day to sleep in a little, either. We got up at 7:00 all week to ski, so it wasn't exactly relaxing. Plus, the bed was really awful. :rotfl2:
Happy March! :goodvibes
Hi all. Hope everyone had a decent weekend. It's a great day, the snow i melting and the grandkids are in school. :woohoo: Of course when I got to my daughters house today she had forgotten to get the car seats out of her car. I had to do a trip down to where her fiancee works to get them. She thought I could just take her without them. Right, the baby is 15 months old wednesday. She WILL be in a car seat. She is at work and all is peaceful.
The baby said Mickey Mouse, I am training her well. :thumbsup2 It makes a grandmother feel all warm and fuzzy when the little ones are awakened to the magic. You all had a part b ecause she saw the Mickey's in the signatures. :)
Oh well I have a big exam this week and 2 chapters to read so have a good day al.
It's great to be a smart ***, isn't it? :rotfl2:
:thumbsup2
No. And you should. You should tell me at least 3 times a day.
Dawn - I thought I quoted you???? Weird Dis. ANyway how was the dance comp this weekend?
Tiring, but fun. :cutie: Thanks for asking. I'm really, really, glad competitions are over and I'm so ready for a break! :yay:
Thanks, she is a sweetie and Ellie's shoes were given to her by her BFF, they're rather high :rotfl2:
They're fabulous!!
I hope they can figure what's going on with Jess. Poor thing. :guilty:
Good to see you, Mary! :) It was kind of a fluke - I only can do anything "moderatory" :rotfl: on the TR boards.
Can you change posts on TRs? :surfweb: Someone posted 2nd on mine while I was typing out my index. It's no big deal, but I was just wondering... ;)
Um, Spring Training is starting! Don't they put any of the games on TV down there?
Not many of the Braves games are on tv, but we have season tickets again this year! :woohoo: Maybe I can finally see your dad. :goodvibes
Walker sounds better than what we call them - zimmerframes :rotfl2:
No, zimmerframes is much better! I'm going to start using that word, if I can remember it. :rolleyes1
Does this sound bad that I actually want them to find something wrong as she is always in pain and I want the answer!!!
Not at all. At least if you have a diagnoses, you can find a cure. :hug:
Mom had sent an e-mail that my Nan has really more or less decided to just let things go on her food.
:hug: My godmother's father has decided the same thing. When she left him Saturday she told him goodbye and thanks for all he did for her. It was hard for her to say, but she's glad she did. :hug:
We apparently down here had hurricane force winds (though, luckily, rain and not snow) and tons of wires were down, 300,000 without power, etc.
Oh, my! :eek:
I imagine I still have tennis today.
All that mess and you still have tennis. :rotfl:
Of course when I got to my daughters house today she had forgotten to get the car seats out of her car. I had to do a trip down to where her fiancee works to get them.
I have a car seat in my car at all times in case I have to pick up Reid. I guess I'll add another one when the baby comes. Good thing I usually only have me in the car. ;)
I did pick up some wine this morning, Evolution which is nice if you haven't tried it. Target had some interesting wines so I got oops! from Chile. Also very nice. Ran into Marshalls and got several polo shirts. I was looking for a small clear glass candy dish for jelly beans as I wanted it to look pretty from the side as well. They didn't have one, so I got a crystal cracker tray to use instead. I know they are the same company, but I like Homegoods much better. :upsidedow
OMG...that last one sounds YUMMMMMMY!!! Did you use fresh pear? Or canned?
Fresh pear, sliced really thin.
You say that like it's a bad thing. LOL
I know, right? :lmao:
2. Thanks! :goodvibes Mitch loves those, but I didn't think he'd be here, so I didn't order. :thumbsup2 Can I give you a CC# or I'll send you a check.
Ok. Errrr.... sure you can give my your credit card, if you want to. ;) Just kidding. Mail me a check. I'll get them out today or tomorrow at the lastest. Thanks! :)
I'm so ready for warmer weather too.
Ugh, tell me about it! :sad2: I wore flips flops this morning and my toes got frost bite!
Oh, and who didn't love the Giant Inflatable Beavers last night?
:confused3 I missed that.
Meats I try to get monthly, because it seems our store does a massive meat sale once a month:confused3 They will have what they call the 4 for $19.99 deal. 4 packages of meat for $19.99! Wow, those are great deals ('cept for the boney meat) - what grocery store is that? Meat is expensive here. I mostly buy boneless chicken and pork. I'm trying to cut red meat out of our diets... but I :lovestruc cow!
Not until the fall again. Will let you know when it starts!
:cool1:
Do you use a premade dough or make your own?
Premade. Our grocery store has balls of premade dough...whole wheat and regular. I love the wheat one. :thumbsup2
Work and school for eveyone today. Tomorrow I have to go see the eye specialist, so I am off from work for that. Other than that, not much planned for the week on this end.
Good luck with the eye doc. :thumbsup2
IKWYM... not knowing what's going on is the worse! Good luck and let us know how it goes. Nip to the grocery, huh? :lmao:;)
Sam, I agree with the others - D would honestly have been happy to not be included. He cared about the music and the food, but the table settings, pictures, etc. - not at all.
Oh yeah, Andy chose all the music, being a former DJ, there was no way he was going to let me touch that one.:laughing:
So, we skied a half day on Friday. Mom had sent an e-mail that my Nan has really more or less decided to just let things go on her food. It made me cry, as my poor mom is saying, "I think it's going to be long and hard to wait for her to just waste away." What an awful thought.
:hug: I'm so sorry, CE :hug:
Welcome home, we missed you. :goodvibes
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Well my plan got the kabosh today. Evan's cold got worse and he's home with me. No gym for me today, so I've decided to start my Spring cleaning in the bedrooms. :sad2:
That's it, I guess. Jeeze, I'm boring. :lmao:
I have a car seat in my car at all times in case I have to pick up Reid. I guess I'll add another one when the baby comes. Good thing I usually only have me in the car. ;)
Normally the car seats are in my car. They rarely need them. I had given them to my daughter saturday because she had the day off and they took thge kids out. I love my daughter but she has always been a bit of a flake. I told her not to frorget to take them out of the car and she did. I don't think I'll ever get a small economical car. I am the family limo driver. :lmao:
Jo, I thought I had quoted your "how did I hack?" question - the router was out in plain sight, so we hooked up the ethernet cord and I was able to get to the router set-up page. The old password was invisible with those dots, so I just reset it. :thumbsup2
The baby said Mickey Mouse, I am training her well. :thumbsup2 It makes a grandmother feel all warm and fuzzy when the little ones are awakened to the magic. You all had a part b ecause she saw the Mickey's in the signatures. :)
Awww bless :goodvibes
I hope they can figure what's going on with Jess. Poor thing. :guilty:
Kind of :thumbsup2
No, zimmerframes is much better! I'm going to start using that word, if I can remember it. :rolleyes1
:rotfl2: We pronounce it zimmer to rhyme with simmer well actually it almost does sound like simmerframe :thumbsup2
I have a car seat in my car at all times in case I have to pick up Reid. I guess I'll add another one when the baby comes. Good thing I usually only have me in the car. ;)
I noticed when you gave me a lift :thumbsup2
IKWYM... not knowing what's going on is the worse! Good luck and let us know how it goes. Nip to the grocery, huh? :lmao:;)
See below and stop taking the Mickey ;):rotfl2:
The Dr says Jessica's knee problem is pretty common in long legged teenage girls. Apparently as her pelvis is growing it's putting a strain on the outside of her knee cap (well the muscles etc) so he is sending her for physio to strengthen them up. If that doesn't work then he will do scans etc :thumbsup2
Oh and tomorrow my baby Boo has her op :sad1: We have to remember to put away all her food at 8pm, so in 2 hours, she doesn't eat much and just grazes all day and night so won't like that very much!!!
Does this sound bad that I actually want them to find something wrong as she is always in pain and I want the answer!!!
Not at all, I would want the same thing:hug:
I read everything, but was fairly selective with the quotes as there was so much. Everyone I didn't quote, hi! :wave2:
Welcome Back:goodvibes
So, we skied a half day on Friday. Mom had sent an e-mail that my Nan has really more or less decided to just let things go on her food. It made me cry, as my poor mom is saying, "I think it's going to be long and hard to wait for her to just waste away." What an awful thought. :sad1:
:hug::hug:
Then, after we got back from skiing, I got a call from Tara, wondering if I'd heard from anyone in my neighborhood. We apparently down here had hurricane force winds (though, luckily, rain and not snow) and tons of wires were down, 300,000 without power, etc. So, I called my neighbor and yes, we had no power. A tree came down from between our two houses, but thankfully landed on her front lawn and not the house. :scared1: It pulled the wires down to her house, but they didn't snap, so she did get power back when we all did on Saturday morning.
Yikes, glad there was no damage. :eek:
Hi all. Hope everyone had a decent weekend. It's a great day, the snow i melting and the grandkids are in school.
:yay:
The baby said Mickey Mouse, I am training her well.
Jimmy's first words were Don Duck!:thumbsup2
Tiring, but fun. :cutie: Thanks for asking. I'm really, really, glad competitions are over and I'm so ready for a break! :yay:
Glad you had fun. Did the girls place?
Not many of the Braves games are on tv, but we have season tickets again this year! :woohoo: Maybe I can finally see your dad. :goodvibes[/QUOTE[
Probably not. He has dropped to seasonal status so he basically works one day every 6 weeks. It gives him his main gate pass, but he can't get anyone else in. I told him since he turned 80 I think he is allowed to retire;)
We always keep at least one extra in the car becasue we never know if we are going to get a call to pick up my girlfriends daughter who goes to the same after school place as Jimmy!
Wow, those are great deals ('cept for the boney meat) - what grocery store is that? Meat is expensive here. I mostly buy boneless chicken and pork. I'm trying to cut red meat out of our diets... but I :lovestruc cow!
Acme
Premade. Our grocery store has balls of premade dough...whole wheat and regular. I love the wheat one. :thumbsup2
I will have see if out store has those. We usually get Boboli, but they are expensive and don't make that much.
Good luck with the eye doc.
Thanks:goodvibes
Well my plan got the kabosh today. Evan's cold got worse and he's home with me.
Poor kiddo:hug:
