A trip more than worth the wait!- Updated 5/4/10 Complete

You seem to have managed to see everything in to Sea World and then top it off with a wonderful meal at Cheesecake.

We normally end up buying a piece to take out - or sharing one. :)

Day 8 MK / DTD

The next morning we woke up early so as to arrive at MK before opening, and in time to catch the opening show.

We managed to get a good spot, front and centre, just 20 mins before park opening! and it really was a GREAT show and a GREAT way to get you in that Disney spirit ready for your day.

DSC05079.jpg

Saying that - just driving through the gates into Disney property changed my entire mood, I just went from happy to really happy just driving through the gates and was ready to go! This is probably the main reason I have decided next time we go to Florida we HAVE to stay on Disney property - then we don't have to leave the gates every night!

Anyway... after seeing the show we headed down main street to go through the castle and into Fantasyland - we decided to keep this for our first full day, so this was the first time going into the castle and seeing this end of the park!

IMGP0901.jpg

We got into Fantasy land and rushed to pretty much the first thing you see...

IMGP0904.jpg

IMGP0905.jpg

IMGP0907.jpg

None of us were successful unfortunately.

We then walked on to both Its a Small World and Peter Pan - Obviously both were BRILLIANT and just thinking of the memories on the ride makes me smile :goodvibes

IMGP0910.jpg

From here we rode Dumbo with only a 5 minute wait, a nice classic - and it will be really interesting to see it when the do up the queue!

IMGP0912.jpg

DSC05092.jpg

The next while is a blur of Snow Whites Scary Adventures / Winnie the Pooh / Phillarmagic / Teacups...

Snow White - personally, the only underwhelming ride for me in Fantasyland.

Philharmagic - WOW! Defo the best 3D I seen in Florida, and considering I love the songs of Disney movies I was just blown away by this! I could watch it again and again and again! Definately the attraction that makes you like WOW im in DISNEYY!

Winnie the Pooh - So much fun!, Im a huge winnie the pooh and friends fan and the bit where you bounce along in a hunny pot was just great! When we got off this ride we spotted pooh and tigger across from the ride so went to queue and meet them...

We were next to meet them when the CM announced they were away on a hunny break, fair enough - happened a good few times in this trip to us - but to be honest I dont mind cause the characters tend to come back so much bouncier and animated! so much so Tigger ran over and grabbed me, and we ran quite a bit away where he formally introduced me to Pooh :goodvibes

IMGP0926.jpg

IMGP0927.jpg

There are so much other photos of all 4 of us meeting Pooh and Tigger - a great Photopass photographer here - some kinda just took the main shot, none of the interaction, but this one caught all our memories :goodvibes

We stopped to meet Alice and the White Rabbit before going on the Teacups

IMGP0922.jpg

Teacups were fun - but tbh i just focused on not feeling sick as Scotts mission on these things is to make the teacup spin as fast as possible:eek:

All this happened in about 2 hours, really love park opening. As much as I love all the rides here and couldn't really imagine skipping any - it could be hard to justify really long waits for some of the rides here for a group of 4 adults.

We nipped behind to Tomorrowland - to try out Autopia - I put in some practice for my driving test which I had 3 weeks after we got back from Florida! A ride which doesn't look like it would be great for an adult, but we all enjoyed it.

By this point the heat was getting up quite a bit, so we grabbed some ice drinks from Fantasyland - I got a ice cherry - it was very sweet but i liked it and it cooled me right down!

IMGP0928.jpg

With drinks in hand we went off to explore Toontown next!

IMGP0930.jpg

IMGP0933.jpg

IMGP0941.jpg

IMGP0947.jpg

After exploring Mickey and Minnie's house, we went to the judges tent to meet Mickey - at this point we thought it would just be Mickey, but I was rather eager at this point to meet Minnie and get a picture of her with my minnie ears! But we were happy to hear both Mickey and Minnie were in the tent.

IMGP0951.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage253-1.jpg

So after a go on the Barnstormer, we got the train back to Main Street , to continue with the rest of our day

DSC05118.jpg

TBC!

After our fun train journey (next time were in Disney i'd like to take the time just to go all the way around the park in the train) we were back at the main gate , and we took our time to explore this area.

Me and Scott were just looking in exposition hall when Leanne and Roy came sprinting in so excited "We just met Pinnochio We met Pinnochio - HES JUST OUTSIDE!" ... so we ran off to meet Pinnochio too!

DSC05121.jpg

It was at this point we realised - wait Pluto and Daisy are there too! We met Pluto but afterwards we were all getting a little hungry

IMGP0964.jpg

I do love that characters do meets here - the Castle in the background makes a great pic opportunity.

So for lunch we went to Main Street Bakery, which was really quiet, even though it was about 12.30/1 pm

I had a tomato and mozzerela bun with a witch cupcake - both were really good, tasted very fresh and wasn't too filling for lunch either.

IMGP0966.jpg

IMGP0965.jpg

After lunch we headed to Adventureland - We did all the attractions here (EVERYTHING walk on!) and just as we came off the final attraction here - Alladins Carpet, I heard the music for the parade  Nooo we'd forgotten about the parade again!!! Can't remember if i mentioned but for both AK and HS - We remembered about the parade as it was pretty much passing by so got pretty crummy places. Nevermind, I think for us it was nice to stand back and just enjoy it all - and luckily we got there JUST as the first float was there!

Overall - I wasn't TOO impressed with adventureland if im honest, its the only land in MK I didn't really like all that much. Pirates was good, but i just didn't 'get' the tiki tiki room or the jungle cruise!

IMGP0975.jpg

IMGP0973.jpg

DSC05129.jpg

We then walked on Splash Mountain twice (maybe 3 times?) - getting suitable SOAKED ! :rotfl::rotfl: We also managed to take a really good picture of us all on it which I'll try get uploaded, but its not on my laptop just yet.

We didn't bother with BTMRR this time, but stopped to meet Donald and Goofy

IMGP0982.jpg

At this point it was getting about 5pm and everyone was arriving for MNSSHP which we were doing at the weekend. It was really exciting seeing everyone dressed up! So we took a stroll out the park through some shops and got the boat back to TTC and drove to DTD for dinner.

Note It was great how quiet the park was today and I would recommend if anyones in Disney Sept/Oct to plan a MK day - at some point:
On a MNSSHP night (note you'll have to leave the park earlyish if you don't have tickets - so you'll need to schedule an extra MK day for wishes/spectro)
Monday - Friday
No EMH day

I think the above all major factors to why park was so empty

We got to DTD and decided we wanted to go to TREX and were able to get seated straight away without an ADR!

IMGP0987.jpg

It was very much the same as a Rainforest Cafe - just a lot bigger and it is pretty cooler!!

We all had Cotton - Tini's

IMGP0988.jpg

IMGP0989-1.jpg

IMGP0996.jpg

The 4 of us shared the appetizer combo

IMGP0998.jpg

Then I had the Salmon main course.
IMGP1000.jpg

Both were amazing! It was actually quite an expensive meal I thought, but it was very tasty and good atmosphere.

After here we explored the Lego shop where Scott got himself a huge Technic set (which kept him entertained for hours once we got home).

IMGP1004.jpg

Then - After spending a great hour and a half debating and choosing everything we wanted from World of Disney - we got to the till, and Scotts bank card was declined - and the screen said to keep his card  we spoke to the manager who was really nice, and let us keep the card - but the sitation turned out to be the bank company cancelled his card for security reasons after it had been used abroad (in the lego shop) - even though we informed the bank we would be abroad and likely to use the card in Florida :confused3

I was really upset by this, I think partially because I was so tired it seemed like a bit of a bigger deal than it was - we decided that we would come back to DTD after Epcot 2 days later and get what we wanted then instead, and we wrote down everything in our basket so we wouldn't forget too. We went back to the hotel, Scott phoned the bank and I was just feeling fine again when I went to take out my contact lenses and put on my glasses when... My Glasses were broken

Turns out housekeeping had knocked my glasses from the bedside table, stood on them accidentally and just put them back. They were pretty much unwearable. I went down to reception and a lovely member of staff gave me a complaints form.

(the full story: after this evening I dealt with the hotel manager and another member of staff, who were the most unhelpful, rude individuals I've ever came across at hotels. And I was being really polite and understanding about the sitation - not yelling off my head like i really wanted to (especially considering I'd got these glasses new for going away!). I would actually be talking to them about the problem, the phone would ring, and they'd just answer it and take a booking or something. Just didn't care ATALL! On the day we left I got my glasses back, 'fixed' by local opticians - after being promised them back each and every day since I handed them in (luckily Specsavers back home managed to get them sorted properly). Also, nearly every time we visited reception the manager wasn't there or hadn't left any message to pass on to us - when she said she would. it was infuriating.)

Unfortunately, when I went to email my mum after talking to reception that night - she'd already been in touch to say my dog had to go to the vet that day. It was nothing very serious and shes ok now, but it was something she had never been bothered with before and I was so worryed. And with the three unfortunate events it was very difficult to not get really upset despite fighting with myself to be happy - I was in Florida.

I tried to put everything in perspective:

my glasses - would get fixed somehow, at least i had lenses
DTD accident - an excuse to go back to DTD and we still had heaps of travellers cheques so didn't need to rely on bank card
Sweep - My dog would be fine (and i would give her extra hugs when I got home)

So although I was down for the rest of that night (which in fairness wasn't very long before I went to sleep) I would be fine when I woke up the next day - ready to enjoy the rest of our holiday and definately in the mind frame not to let a bad evening ruin what was an amazing day.

Next: Day 9 - Islands of Adventure

I just finished reading Day 1, I love this kind of trip reports I am 21 and want to go to WDW with my boyfriend too, so I love reading this trip reports discovering what you did at the parks as a young couple or young group of friends. I've stayed with my folks at the Ramada Inn next to wet and wild back in 1997 it was ok, we didn't spent much time in the room so it was a great place to sleep and that's it, we were at the parks all day long. I'll keep reading!:cool1:

Great report and your photos are really great
Your smile is HUGE when you are with the characters

Great day (aside from all the drama at the end!). Your pics with the characters are really good!

I have a spookily similar photo of my DBF Andrew doing the sword thing, wearing what looks to be the same t-shirt as Scott:

ohhh i feel your pain about not getting the basket in downtown disney...glad your dog was ok

really enjoy reading your trip reports as its basically the same type of things we will hopefully be doing and its lovely to see in the photos how much you're enjoying it...

any return trips planned? any disney resorts picked out?!

A fantastic 1st trip report. So many highs and sadly a couple of lows.

Really enjoying accompanying you on this journey :goodvibes

Thanks for those updates and so pleased to see how much fun you had.

Cool, when do you plan to go/ do you know where your staying??

Me and Scott are hoping to go back just the two of us around Sept/October 2011. I've already looked at Disney resorts and decided it will either be the Poly, Boardwalk Inn or Contempory. Its working out very expensive though - so we might just stay a week in one of those hotels and another week somewhere cheaper.

A fantastic 1st trip report. So many highs and sadly a couple of lows.

Im glad your enjoying it! Yeah , there were some lows - and I hope they don't mind me quoting them here - but I think another TR going on just now (bad mothers handbook) explains why I decided to include the lows in the TR...

"that we still had a really lovely day and .'the low points'.. in no way took away from the great holiday that we had - however, it's fair to say that it was a major incident on this day so we felt it only fair to our readers to include it (just so you don't think it was all moonlight and roses)."

Thanks for those updates and so pleased to see how much fun you had.

Aw, Thanks for Reading!! :goodvibes

going in july and staying on i drive...bf a schoolteacher so bit constrained...

then possibly taking my goddaughter in may 2011 and staying on disney property...will have to start saving now though!

like your disney choices...would be good to be opn the monorail route!!!

Day 9 - Universal Studios / Islands of Adventure / HHN

So after a bit of a bad end to yesterday, I woke up in the frame of mind to not let what had happened upset me any more and enjoy the trip we'd all been looking forward to for so long!

So that morning, after a hotel breakfast, we drove over to Universal, and got parked and in Universal Studios about 15 mins after park opening.

IMGP1030.jpg

We had originally planned this day be spent entirely at Islands of Adventure, but we decided to start at Universal to do the things we were desperate to do again / missed first time round.

So we started by reriding HRRR - after loving it so much first time round, I was a *little* dissapointed this time round - the first time i rode it, my song choice was MC Hammer - great and this song really added to the fun of the ride.
However today I chose Daft Punk, and the song didn't really start til the ride was over :confused3 - and its actually amazing how much this had an impact into the overall enjoyability of the ride. Still though - by no means did it make it a bad ride, its still enjoyable - and the start going up vertically still scared me :lmao: just never choose Daft Punk.

We then rerode The Simpsons and The Mummy rides - both will hardly any queue. By this point it was already soo warm , and we all grabbed some vanilla milkshakes from Mels Drive In - I had mine with some Oreos, really really tasty - but inevitably melted really fast in the heat, so I couldn't finish it as it was all a bit sticky.

After some drinks we met the Madagascar characters, and Donkey and Shrek - Meeting Donkey was one of my must do's for Universal, so I was glad to get the chance to do this today after missing out our first day at this park. and I'm so glad we did this - it was so funny! Donkey was telling us how our Scottish accents were way better than Shrek's fake accent - to which Shrek acted up great!

IMGP1016.jpg

IMGP1023.jpg

We then went to check when Terminator would be on, as this was the only other thing we had to do before heading to IOA - we had about 30 mins to wait, but we went to buy tickets for that evenings HHN! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

It had been quite a thing in the weeks prior to going to Florida that I was adament I wouldn't go - as just the online site scared me a rediculous amount, in fairness - i did want to go JUST to see the Saw house (as I am a big Saw movie fan) but the thought of the scare zones and people jumping out at me just seemed silly level scary. I can honestly say I got butterflies in my tummy just getting the tickets.

We had a little look around the big gift shop, I got myself some Spongebob PJ's and then we saw the whole Simpsons family just outside the Terminator ride as we were heading in, so stopped and got the pic (to be honest i found it quite random they were all here, and not just by the ride but oh well - worked out well for us!)

IMGP1025.jpg

Terminator was wayyy better than I expected - especially after the longest dullest pre - show video. But once in the theatre I got into it and I was so loving the 3D effects and the little surprise at the end gave me the biggest fright - but hillarious too

So with a good couple hours at Universal we decided we ought to get to Islands of Adventure.

We got through to IOA, and decided to go around anti - clockwise, as we had already ridden The Hulk/Spiderman and wanted to experience some new attractions.

We spent a little bit in Seuss Landings - which was practically empty!

DSC05162.jpg

I do regret not spending a bit longer in this area - and to be honest most of Islands of Adventure , I feel we didn't stop and appreciate this park in the same way we did other parks. But it means next trip we have so much more to explore

We did go on the Cat in the Hat Ride and Seuss Trolley in the Sky Ride - The Cat in the Hat in particular I thought was great fun!

IMGP1037.jpg

we continued round and went on Duelling Dragons, both sides (took soo long walking through the queue, not sure exactly - but I assume this is due to the Harry Potter works). But it was a good coaster all round, unfortunately we missed our bag collection from the lockers by about 2 mins and had to pay extra, but hey ho!

We managed to catch the Sinbad show after a minute in... I don't know if a lot of things are explained in that first minute, but it all seemed a bit random to me!

After the show we were all pretty hungry, and managed to grab a table in Mythos - it was great inside, and I loved the huge view of the other side of the park. We had more milkshakes which were delicious - more refreshing than ice-creamy , and I had a chicken/mash potato wrap - I could tell it would be better without the mash, and I kind of regret my decision to have that now if im honest when I think of all the other things on offer. Anyway here are some pictures:

IMGP1048.jpg

IMGP1058.jpg

IMGP1054.jpg

IMGP1050.jpg

Before leaving the restaurant we all got changed into our clothes, ready to head on all the wet rides.

We started with Jurassic Park - and I dont even think I got a drip of water on, so was still very dry!

But of course this all changed - and I couldn't have been wetter after Popeye and Ripsaw Falls - I loved Ripsaw Falls!! It was a little scary though!

IMGP1067.jpg

We got dried off a bit, and had fun with the cannons to soak people on Ripsaw Falls. We then managed a ride on Spiderman and a couple goes on the Hulk.

We all felt we wanted to freshen up a little before HHN that night so we grabbed the car in hope of nipping back to the hotel and getting to HHN ASAP to get a head start - knowing queues would be crazy (not that i minded too much)

Anyway, somehow.. we got lost!! We must have missed a turn and pretty much drove all the way to WDW!! EEEK , finally about 45 mins later we got back to teh hotel :scared1: - a drive which should have taking 5 mins MAX

So after a REALLY quick change and stuff, we were in a taxi back to Universal.

We got in and wow i was SO scared even going through the turnstile!!

We found the nearest alcohol stand, and all had blood strawberry jelly vodka shots. yummmm - i defo needed some sort of courage!

And so we tackled the first scare zone - containment. We formed a line, me and leanne in the middle and scott and roy on either side - all arms linked, nothing was getting beside me! and I adoped a 'game face' and just focused on not looking scared (they feed on that!) and before I knew it , a couple of snarls later I made it to the other side :woohoo: hehehe...

At this point i was on SUCH an adreniline rush - so proud of myself i did it lol, i'd got myself really worked up and it wasn't TOO bad really....

Note - this place really isn't for kids, there was one little boy, about 11 or so in this scare zone, cowering at the side about half way through teh zone - he had stopped and looked so scared - and rather than leaving him about 3 actors went over and made it 10x worse, I don't know what happened after but yikes!

We decided to queue for Dracula first... Oops - queue was about 50 mins and it was rediculously hot and sticky weather. Well we all got more jelly shots to pass the time, and silly me at the end of the drink managed to spill the remains all over my white/pink top! totally unsaveable. thank god it was dark - but for laughs heres the state of me. :rotfl2:

IMGP1088.jpg

anyway we finally got in to the house - and i pretty much attached myself to scotts ribs.. i think i mighta hurt him a little - through squeezing AND through hurting his ears with my screams :cutie: oops! I did warn him though!

Dracula in my opinion was the scariest of the houses we went through, at one point you passed a big row of coffins and I remember whimpering to scott "theres something in it, its going to open , i swear its going to open" - it did and I just about crumpled into a heap, gosh it was just so scary - but like the scare zone - once it was over, you can't help think that its the most fun thing ever - at the time scared wasn't even the word!!

We caught the Bill and Ted show after this , which was so so funny!

We split up for a little bit after the show - leanne and roy wanted to see the rocky horror show, but me and scott didnt really fancy it and time was running out so fast! so we went to go see the Chucky haunted house.

Im so glad we did this - and having time to ourselves again was lovely. We had to go through a small scare zone to get here but nothing bothered us at all at this point. I was a lot lot braver in this house, and it was actually lots of fun! There was only ONE bit that really really got me scared - you kinda start working out where the jumper-outers are so they dont scare you as much, but as we were walking up to a corner, it turned out it was like a bar and a chucky popped up with a machine gun - totally scared me!

the queue for Chucky didnt take as long as Dracula and was actually quite cool cause you got to go through barney's area - which was quite freaky to go through for the chucky ride i thought (the house was kind of kid toy / play house themed - it had one of those walkways with a twirly tube to start with)

So we grabbed some more drinks, and then went to meet Leanne and Roy at designated point - Krustyland! which looked SOO different at night, it went from being the happiest place during the day - to freaky as anything this night.

IMGP1086.jpg

Leanne and Roy were nowhere to be found - so me and scott had a little walk around the lake , taking in the atmosphere. We got to the drive in horror zone - and I was a little anxious at this point, but was doing ok - until a dead cheerleader looked right at me, I whimpered then it practically followed me right up to the exit snarling in my ear  eek,eek

We caught up with Leanne and Roy and went to join the epic Saw queue - very long, but so so worth it. The little details, and bits i remembered from teh movie meant I wasnt AS scared - i was more like "OMG Awesome, look at that , Oh WOW!!". until the end - when it was just a pitch dark room, you could see the exit then about 4 'pig mask' characters came walking towards us from every angle feeling like we were being trapped - cue more screaming (i couldn't actually talk on the way home my throat was sooo raw!) :rotfl2:

By this point, we had about 15 mins before park closing and we managed to run and get in one more house - the Silver Screams one, kinda the main theme for HHN that year - to be honest, perhaps i was just used to it, but there wasnt much to it i thought. it was still great - and it had the chainsaws at the end which freaked me out again..

then we made it! I survived :woohoo:

A really great night actually and I spose I would do it again - but it is reallly scary.

I was quite happy how much we got done considering we got there a bit late, and how busy it was - there was only about 2 or 3 houses we missed, although we did miss some scare zones. overall I think what we did do was enough to get the full experience!

We grabbed a burger king at the end of the night, then went back to the hotel REALLY late - about 1.30am, and we were planned to go to Epcot/DTD the next day , leaving early - EEKS! A really long, but fantabulous day!

So we got up early today, but still missed breakfast at the hotel - in favour of still making rope drop at EPCOT!!

Day 10 and we still hadn't even visited this park yet!

So despite being really tired from our late night, the excitement meant we didn't feel tired... if that makes sense (it all catches up with us the next day!)

DSC05201.jpg

So we got there early and before long they let us in to the park up to the point with the rope - mickey and co came out and said hello

IMGP1093.jpg

The weather looks awful here! but it was really hot, and by about 11am every day it cleared and was just soo hot - i loved it , but i can imagine that it might have been too hot for some people.

Anyway like most others we followed the Soaring people, and were pretty much on the first or second ride of the day - no wait! This is a great ride and I can totally understand the fuss! I found it quite a peaceful and relaxing ride :)

IMGP1100.jpg

We grabbed FPs on the way out of Soarin, and then got breakfast in The Land - we just had the generic hot breakfasts - and as I'd not seen this Mickey Milk at all during our trip - I was adament on trying some (even on our last day, things with Mickey Mouse on them, that you wouldn't expect STILL was exciting for me!) - The breakfast was tasty, and it was nice to have a little sit down and not be rushing about for ride number 2.

IMGP1095.jpg

After breakfast we still had a little time before our FP time, and we couldn't really be bothered walking around the park to have to come back (our feet were all starting to hurt from the holiday of walking, so as little walking we did - we knew our feet would be that little less sore tonight) anyway - we went on Living with The Land, which was alright.

Afterwards, our FP soaring time was just 5 mins away, so a little bathroom break and looking at the little shop wasted those 5 mins and off on again we were - and we got centre, front this time which made a huge difference to the experience i felt , not seeing peoples feet at the top!

so after our rides on soarin, we headed to The Seas! And enjoyed the outside area for a little bit

DSC05204.jpg

We went in via the clam shell ride - love it!!!!!

Then went to see Turtle Talk w/Crush which was really fun. Then we just explored all the tanks, which you could really spend AGES in. We found nemo and marlin too!

DSC05209.jpg

At this point Leanne and Roy bought a talking Crush - which is really cool!

We then headed up towards Figment, walk on, and this ride was one of Scotts fondest memories from when he went to WDW as a kid

IMGP1150.jpg

We had a look at the exit explore imagination zone, then went to look at the waterfall.

IMGP1148.jpg

We went to go on Test Track - but just as it was broken down! They weren't letting u get FPs either if i remember right.

So instead we went to Mission Space , the more extreme side - after reports on here I was seriously scared, but honestly - I didnt feel it spin! I just concentrated on the screen like they recommend , and it was fun! Not scary at all in my opinion - but I can see how someone sensitive to spinning wouldn't like it! There are feelings of .. lifting off and things, but the whole experience is so immersive - its difficult to not 'get into it'

IMGP1153.jpg

We went straight for a reride afterwards!

after this and some shop looking (scott picked up some poppers? which he keeps playing with! eugh now those things scare me!

IMGP1157.jpg

(he didnt buy this hat at least!)
Lucky for us as we left Mission Space - we had a look to see what was happening at TT - and they just let people back on! So we went on it - and it was fun, although I expected it to be a little faster at the end if im honest! But still loved it!

We got a FP on the way out, and then went to get some lunch at Electric Umbrella - id heard some negative reviews about here, but for a lunch - it was just as expected!
I hate some chicken nuggets and chips
IMGP1167.jpg

So after lunch , we walked it off with a walk around MouseGears - grabbing some candy floss for desert, and a couple of other bits and bobs.

We then decided to spend some time exploring Innovations - We did the fire one, which was hillarious!!! There were a couple of other guests (with little kids) and me and scott were in one team, leanne and roy in the other - and for some reason we got REAL competitive!!!

Me and scott were frantically trying to 'find the fire hazards' in the room - and WOO We Won

We then rode on Segways a little - how you can do a tour on these things i've no idea - it was the scariest ride in the park by FAR :lmao: I kept thinking i was going to fall off! Oh dear - but heres a pic of me without the CM holding on to the segway

IMGP1186.jpg

We then did design your own rollercoaster - which was fun! I would have liked a few goes at this, and although the queue wasnt long, it is quite slow moving.

We decided to go to the Character Spot - and this was great, all the characters were super!

Donald Even Proposed to me :lmao: Scott was having none of it though - this was one of my favourite memories in the holiday , it was just so funny!
When we checked our Photopass account that evening though - that pic wasnt there - after a little email though they managed to find that pic and it was in our account in lke 48 hours :yay:

DisneyPhotoImage193.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage168.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage170.jpg

We went to use our FP for TT next, and it was getting late now so we decided to get some sushi from Japan and then to DTD!

DisneyPhotoImage196.jpg

We just went to the CS in Japan - and i had the spicy tuna roll i think - it wasn't amazing though, but it was just enough as i was still a little full from lunch.

Some other pics from Epcot that day:

DisneyPhotoImage163.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage161.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage198.jpg

So after our great day in Epcot (we do return for a more World Showcase afternoon) we head to DTD - first stop Goofy's Candy Co - I need to get me a Mickey Rice Kripie Head!

My one was the rice kripie treat, with white chocolate ( the CM didnt want to give me white choc as it wasn't melting properly, but it was still tasty - the CMs were so proffessional about it though and said the milk choc had melted better, but as a huge white choc fan, white choc is white choc! i didnt care if it wasnt amazing - even though it totally was amazing)

with rieces pieces and oreos

Then to the Xmas Shop  WOW!! I could have gone CRAZYer than i did! We already got a little alien decoration in the MK christmas shop before, so this time we got a Lady and the Tramp one, and we got our names put on it (to be picked up on our last day) and also got decs for the family. We also picked up a 4 pack of sparkly decorations too which has mickey, minnie, pluto and donald! I could have went even more crazy but i restrained ... a little!

After this me and scott went off to find things, stopping for a pic outside once upon a toy (had a look round but get anything here) -

I pretty much wanted all of this:

Then to Tren-D - I got a mickey mouse tshirt (my size wansn't there but a lovely CM checked, and there was one in the back) woo! and a disney couture purse - which i LOVE!

we then hit the world of disney!

Ill try remember all we got - but we did decide to do the majority of our shopping in here, as we just had to put it all in the car and not lug it around the park.

Disney Tower of Terror Cluedo
Disney Mickey and Goofy Remote Control Cars
Some Aerial Antenna Toppers
Mickey pizza cutter and bottle opener
Mickey and Minnie Plates
Photo Album
Big Cuddly Mickey
Minnie Mouse Pen (which i Lost within a week of coming home!!)
Cuddly Wheezy
Dishtowels

Fun times!! I love shopping :cutie:

So we drove back to the hotel, ate our treats, and watched some tv in bed before falling asleep.

Coming up - Day 11 - Busch Gardens

Great updates! I love that you include so many details. HHN sounds like so much fun, I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat too but I'm sure I'd enjoy it like you did! :rotfl:

Looking forward to more. :thumbsup2

P.S. the pic of Donald proposing to you is so cute!

Really excellent Trippie! :thumbsup2 You've got me very hyped about going in October now! :goodvibes I hope the crowds are as low as you exerienced, and you've really inspired me to take lots of pics of the food we eat. I am literally drooling looking at some of those puddings!! :rotfl2:

Hehe, once I start writing I can't stop :rotfl2:

HHN really is great, although I genuinely doubt I could do it without being practically glued to Scott (and letting him guide me while i closed my eyes sometimes! :rolleyes1)

Oh wow you'll love it in October - I imagine it will be next October (2011) we go - the heat / low crowds / MNSSHP = amazing! :goodvibes

Hehe i meant to take even more pics, inspired by all the AMAZING dining reviews on here - but usually it looked so good / i was hungry that it wasnt til i ate half that I remembered to take pics (and noone wants to see a half ate meal so I just left it)

I've just spent most of the afternoon - on and off - reading your TR, and very enjoyable reading it was too.
We were there at the same time as you and it's interesting to read your opinions on the stuff you did (even though we do have differing opinions on some of it :lmao: - but if we all liked and disliked the same stuff WDW would only be half the size, if that makes sense). I love the way though that you don't tend to sugar coat everything, and have told it as you saw it - which is very important for those reading TRs and will inevitably help them with their choices.
HHN was by far our best night and on the top of our list if we ever go back in October.
Looking forward to reading the rest :thumbsup2
