Hi everyone I am back, well not home yet now my family and I are in Clearwater Beach. Anyway the Marriott we are staying at has a free Business Center I will post my Contemporary review from this month and now can ask all the questions you want.

Now when we arrived back on December 12th once again we had a very easy check-in. Our room was ready when we got there and we were in #4820 which meant we were over the Fantasia and Bay View Gifts store, so we were far away from the Chef Mickey's side. Now like we have done in the past for my mom's breakfast we always request a half a grapefruit because it's something not offered in the Atrium Club lounge. Well to our great surprise they had them ready the next morning because in the past they never got them until our 2nd day.

The Cast Members we encoutered all over were very friendly and did not meet anyone who was rude and etc.

The Contempo Cafe as always was great and I got to try their Mahi Mahi Sandwich and it's now become one of my favorite things to eat, so I obviously ordered it more then once.

The parks were also great and it helped going the week before Christmas and getting to them when they opened.

Now we did run into a few Monorail problems while we were there. On our 1st night one of the Resort lines was down, so it meant longer lines. The 2nd time we were at the TTC when we were told to get off because there was a problem, so it took them about 20 minutes to finally move it so another one could come into the station. Finallly two nights ago when leaving the Polynesian the Resort line broke down all over so the Cast Member said walk to the TTC, get on the Express Monorail and walk back to the Contemporary. Instead we took a taxi from the Polynesian to the Contemporary which was a total of $6.50 and got $10.00 taken off our room because of the Monorail breaking down and the Cast Members did not expect us to pay for a taxi in that situation.

Finally in our room was a bounceback offer and we took advantage of it, getting 40% off for the Atrium Club - Bay Lake View for this coming August, from the 10th - 20th. The total came out to be $349.00 and that includes the extra $25.00 for the 3rd adult. However that's still an amazing deal to get.

Also I will be posting a lot of pictures when we get home so be on the look out for them.

Thanks for the review! It's nice that you put a lot of details in them. :)

Great bounce back offer too - I hope we get one when we go next Monday. ;)

I can't believe you're back already, it seems like you just left! Glad you had a good trip!

I forgot to mention the night when we to take a taxi back from the Polynesian, I thought there was going to be an accident in the Contemporary Monorail station line when we were originally going to the Polynesian. There was a lot of people waiting and I mean a lot, well it got so bad that everyone was getting pushed together coming off the esclator. So everyone was yelling for the Monorail Cast Member but he never heard us, however someone down there had pressed to emergency stop button for the esclator going up.

Finally in our room was a bounceback offer and we took advantage of it, getting 40% off for the Atrium Club - Bay Lake View for this coming August, from the 10th - 20th. The total came out to be $392.60 and that includes the extra $25.00 for the 3rd adult. However that's still an amazing deal to get.

Is that $392 the total cost for the whole 9 nights?! That's an incredible deal if that's the case!!!

Oh okay that makes more sense. I was just about to book myself there for 3 weeks if it was the total cost! :rotfl:

Glad to hear that you had a wonderful trip. I'm a first timer at the whole Atrium Club level this coming June. I guess my question is....what do I expect? I know that's an awfully vague question, but like I said, I'm a first timer.:confused3 I did get all my dining reservations booked already. I even got the days and times I wanted. That was so awesome!!!:thumbsup2 Any and all info, tips, etc. you can offer will be great. I have been reading the Contemporary info threads but just thought I would ask!!! Thanks!!!

Well you can check-in on the Atrium Club floor, so when you arrive just tell a Cast Member working at the bell desk that you are staying up there and another Cast Member will take you up there. Besides that take advantage of the continental breakfast and when you have time the various hot foods from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, then the desserts from 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Also if you don't have the Magic Kingdom View reserved, you can watch Wishes from the lounge and the music is played up there.

Thanks! Do they pipe the Wishes music to your balcony? I also heard of a safari for concierge guests only. Is it worth the money?

The safari is the Wildlife Discovery Excursion, inside Animal Kingdom. IPO will make your reservations, once you let them know when you want to go. It is an hour long tour, in a bus with a total of 14 people, stops frequently for great photo ops and information. I've done it twice, so I thought it was well worth it.

It's only piped into the balcony on the 12th and 14th floor Club Level lounges, however each room in both the Tower and Garden Wing plays the music on channel 20.
