I had this chapter totally written, and photobucket killed it.
That's right, you heard me. Photobucket. I know I talked about switching to another photo sharing site, and I haven't, and it's my own dang fault. So we're going to run this one without pictures for now, and get them up there in a separate post when it wants to work for me.
So, we'd had a ton of fun going on all the rides we wanted, and there was one little item on my to do list that begged to be done.
Actually, I may have begged to do it, you can ask LegoMom and Tink.
I really, really wanted to meet the Princesses in Toon Town. Now, the line for the Fairies was quite long, but the Princesses? FIFTEEN MINUTES! SCORE!!!! I was mega excited. I didn't know who would be there, but I was hoping. Oh, so hoping.
First, was Cinderella, and I made sure Tink got a lovely shot with her favorite on her own. And then, oh...my dear DIS friends, there she was...
Belle.
In.
The.
Gold.
Dress.
Now let me clarify for you that I have met Belle before. But I've met her in France, in her provincial blue.
She was in her beautiful golden yellow ball gown, and well, I lost it. That was it. The internal filter between your brain and your mouth, the one that I usually employ with great finesse, being Libran and all, well it was just gone.
Tink and LM, they let me go up by myself, and I just couldn't help it.
I blurted out, like a true five year old, "You're MY FAVORITE!!!!"
Belle was so gracious, god bless her. Now, Tink and I were sporting birthday buttons, and our special tiaras for this meet and greet so Belle wished us a happy birthday and asked if we had special plans. We told her where we were headed (I'll keep that a suprise for now), and she informed us to be careful of letting Beast have any cake, because he tends to make a mess.
Let me tell you, Belle was...beautiful. I don't mean to sound corny, but she was. And meeting her in the dress, it just fufilled a dream for me. For something that had such an amazing impact on a fifteen year old, it still does fifteen years later, you know?
It never ceases to amaze me how much Disney can mean in our lives.
The last princess we greeted was Aurora, and she was just lovely. They all were really perfect, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the Princesses with my girlfriends.
