For those of you with trips at the end of the month (overlapping into Jan), has anyone been able to get anything at Crystal Palace on Jan 1 or 2 (particularly breakfast)?

I know it is supposed to close for renovations on Jan 3, but I can't get anything before then....

You should look into the 7 for 4 deal (or 7 for 5). For moderate and deluxe resorts, you pay for 4 resort nights and 4 days of tickets and you get 3 for free.

I hate to say this, but you're getting a late start for planning a Christmas trip this year. That's a very popular time to go, and you might have a hard time getting the resort and restaurants you want.

You probably need to start booking ASAP!

Going Dec 18th - 23rd. We also got tickets to MVMCP for the 18th. Haven't been to Disney at Christmas-time since 2002. Just relocated to Florida, so we plan to go to Disney a LOT! We can't wait (Me, DH & DS-10yrs old)!!!!!

So sad that I have to bow out of this thread. My husband elected to take 2 weeks off from work to hunt (no he didn't get anything) and now does not have time for the vacation we had planned.

So very disappointed. I told him next year, the kids and I are going, and I hope he joins us!

So sorry to hear that. I would be kicking my husband's butt! I'd be going this year without him. No offence to you by saying that. It sounds like you and your children are very understanding and that is so great to see.

No disrespect intended to you husband but I would be going without him too! I think it is sad that he mistakenly took took much vacation and has taken the vacation intended for his wife and children away!!

I agree if he does it again you should go without him and drain his bank account at the same time. I hope you are able to work it out so you and the kids don't lose out due to his not thinking. Lois

You're so lucky to be going to the Brown Derby, and on NYE too!! Definitely one of my all time favourite WDW restaurants.. Cobb Salad, mmmm!

... so.. we're considering a trip together in December 2010!! looking at flying via New York too so we could stay there for a few nights (we've never been to nyc before) then fly down to wdw for 5-6 days - what a vacation that'll be!

You'll love December. Last year was our 9th trip but the first in December. Now I can't see myself going any other time of year ( unless it's a 2nd trip of the year!).
